Lihua Village——

After falling asleep, Ye Wan, Old Lady Liu, and Old Man Yuan saw in their dream a chubby and pretty three-year-old girl who pulled them and said she wanted to take them to see someone.

This three-year-old girl looks very much like their daughter Yaoyao, except that Yaoyao is only four months old, while the little girl holding their hands is over three years old.

When she smiles, there are two dimples on her face. She speaks haltingly. She has two rose-shaped pearl flowers on her hair buns and wears a red jacket and skirt. She looks particularly cute.

They followed the little girl unconsciously.

Then we see Boss Yuan wearing Ming Guang armor, swinging the big iron hammer with great power, beating the enemy back step by step.

The scene changed to a magnificent and luxurious general's mansion. He was wearing gorgeous clothes and kneeling behind Boss Yuan to receive the imperial edict. Various rewards were moved into the mansion in boxes. He was particularly valued by the emperor.

Ye Wan, Old Lady Liu, and Old Man Yuan woke up with a smile on their faces, and they were still smiling when they woke up.

"Old man, what are you laughing at?"

"Old woman, what are you laughing at?"

Old Lady Liu and Old Man Yuan looked at each other with confusion and asked in unison.

When it comes to this, Old Lady Liu has something to say, "I dreamed that the eldest brother wore armor and beat the enemy to a pulp. The eldest brother was made a general, and boxes of gifts from the emperor were moved into the mansion. It was so grand."

Hearing what Old Lady Liu said, Old Man Yuan was immediately startled, "Me too! I had the dream too!"

The two looked at each other and said in unison: "Could this dream be true?"

Quickly opened the door.

As soon as he walked out of the door, he bumped into Ye Wan, who had a smile on his face.

"Ye Wan, did you dream about the boss?" Old Lady Liu grabbed Ye Wan with both hands and asked.

Ye Wan hesitated for a moment, then nodded, "Yes, mother, how did you know?"

"Did you dream that the eldest brother was promoted to general?" Old Mrs. Liu asked again hurriedly.

Ye Wan's eyes widened, his pupils trembling, "Yes... yes."

"Thank goodness, the boss is definitely safe on the battlefield."

"That little girl must be a fairy. She couldn't bear to see us sad every day, so she came down to earth and appeared in our dreams." Old Mrs. Liu clasped her hands together, worshipped the sky, and muttered to herself.

"Mom... do you think that little girl... looks like Yaoyao?" Ye Wan asked hesitantly.

Old Lady Liu was shocked and stammered, "...it seems...quite...similar."

The three of them looked at each other and saw shock in each other's eyes. Could it be that the little girl in the dream was really Yaoyao?

Did Yaoyao want to tell them that it was not a bad thing for Boss Yuan to join the army, but that it was a blessing in disguise that he became a general?

"Oh, Yaoyao is really capable." Old Mrs. Liu slapped her thigh fiercely, looking very happy.

Old Man Yuan and Ye Wan also had smiles on their faces. They had been worried and frightened recently and hadn't eaten well. Yaoyao must have seen all of this and couldn't bear to see them sad every day, so she let them have this beautiful dream.

The three of them chatted for a while and then returned to their rooms, each with their own thoughts.

Yaoyao yawned loudly. She was so tired.

Bringing her grandparents and aunt into her dreams was a method she had been thinking about for a long time, and it was also the most direct and effective method.

Removing the bumpy process allows them to see the most beautiful picture and put their minds at ease.

In the distance, Boss Yuan and others followed General Lin for several days. When they were tired, they rested in the same place and ate coarse flour buns mixed with rice bran that were dry, hard to chew and swallow. When they were thirsty, they drank cold water. They didn't even have a quilt when they slept.

Fortunately, when they set off, Old Lady Liu asked them to wear the thick cotton-padded clothes that she had made in a hurry, so Boss Yuan and his apprentices were not very cold.

They sweat when they are on the road, and when they are cold when they sleep, they huddle together to keep each other warm.

Traveling in the frost and snow, everyone had chapped lips, tired expressions, and chapped cheeks.

Some people who wore straw sandals that did not keep warm had cracked feet, which hurt and bled every time they took a step.

Finally, these people could not bear it anymore and developed a high fever at night. They fell into a coma and spoke nonsense.

Boss Yuan rushed straight to General Lin and yelled at him to find a doctor and get medicine, otherwise they would not leave.

It was the first time that General Lin encountered someone who dared to be so disrespectful to him. He looked at Boss Yuan as if he was looking at a dead person.

Seeing that the general was in a bad mood, Lieutenant General Luo took a knife and slashed at Boss Yuan's neck to show his loyalty.

Some of the people behind Boss Yuan closed their eyes and dared not look, while others had anger in their eyes and put their hands into their arms.

Only a dull "bang" sound broke the silent and depressing atmosphere.

I saw that Boss Yuan took out a big hammer from somewhere to block the big knife that was coming towards him. His thick and muscular hands grabbed the hand holding the big knife, buckled it, and put the big knife in his hand against his neck.

"This is the great general of Anping State. He doesn't care about the lives of ordinary people!"

Boss Yuan held a big knife against Lieutenant General Luo's neck with one hand, and held General Luo tightly with the other hand. Seeing the soldiers approaching, he moved the big knife in his hand a little closer. The big knife was sharp and left a bloody mark on his neck.

"The imperial court forced us to conscript soldiers. For the sake of Anping's future, we chose not to desert. We only hope that General Lin can find a doctor to treat these brothers with fevers and give them medicine."

"If you refuse, don't blame us for resisting. I don't think you want all your efforts to go to waste, do you?"

Boss Yuan was right about this. Although General Lin did not care about human lives, he had to swallow his anger for the sake of the mission from his superiors.

General Lin looked at the ignorant man in front of him with a gloomy face, his brows furrowed, and no one knew what he was thinking.

Just when the atmosphere was at a stalemate, General Lin finally spoke.

"Deputy General Lin, go find a doctor."

"Can you let him go?"

Boss Yuan shouted, "No, I want to see the doctor come and examine the patient and prescribe medicine before I let him go!"

Looking at Boss Yuan who challenged his authority again and again, General Lin's frown relaxed and his eyes showed admiration.

"What's your name?"

Boss Yuan frowned and replied, "Yuan Yuyan."

"The sky is warm and the night is bright, the inkstone is washed by fish and the ink is swallowed, what a good name." General Lin showed an ambiguous smile.

Boss Yuan did not put down the big knife in his hand, and held Lieutenant General Luo tightly with his right hand. He did not think that General Lin's words were a compliment.

There was a look of wariness in his eyes, and he was secretly annoyed at his own impulsiveness.
