Mrs. Lin took out the silver from the box, put it in a purse and hid it in her arms, then she left the room and walked towards her eldest granddaughter's room.

As soon as Lin Qingxue returned to the house, Mrs. Lin came over. She watched Mrs. Lin hide and close the door, then took out a purse from her bosom and gave it to her.

"Qingxue girl, this is the last bit of silver we have in the family. It was originally meant to be used for the fourth child's education, but now your three sisters-in-law have all used their private savings to supplement the family income, so we can't keep this money anymore. Use it to buy an ox cart and a donkey cart tomorrow! If you have any extra silver, go buy everything we need at home."

Mrs. Lin said in a low voice. Her appearance made Lin Qingxue feel that the two of them came in to steal things, rather than like the owners of the house.

Hearing what Mrs. Lin said, Lin Qingxue was deeply moved. Her grandparents really cared about them and their siblings.

Lin Qingxue knew that what Old Man Lin and Mrs. Lin did was wrong and unfair to the people in the first house, but she had no right to blame the two elders.

Because she is both the beneficiary and the victim. It is a fact that Father Lin died while saving Uncle Lin, so many times she can only play the peacemaker and compensate the people in the first house in her own way.

"Okay, thank you grandma, but you and my grandpa don't have to do this," Lin Qingxue hugged Mrs. Lin with emotion. The family hadn't taken a bath for a long time. They just wiped themselves clean and their bodies smelled.

But Lin Qingxue didn't mind at all. She was very touched by the wholehearted love that Mrs. Lin and Old Man Lin showed to the four siblings from the second branch.

"Of course not. Don't worry, we know what to do." Mrs. Lin touched her eldest granddaughter's head lovingly. Seeing that it was getting late, she went back to the house to rest.

Lin Qingxue sent Mrs. Lin to the door before closing the door and getting on the kang. She turned to look at her two daughters and whispered, "Don't tell anyone about what happened just now. This is our secret."

"Okay, Mom, my sister and I won't tell," Lin Xiaoya hugged Lin Qingxue's neck and spoke to her in a coquettish tone.

When they first returned to the Lin family, Lin Xiaoya and Lin Xiaoya were timid, didn't say a word, and were very clingy to Lin Qingxue.

But after staying in the Lin family for a while, she felt the Lin family's genuine love for them. She was also taken around by her brothers to play everywhere. She became much more cheerful and could express her needs. She often followed the children of Lin Qingxue's three brothers to run around the village.

"Good boy, my dears, go to sleep! Mommy has to get up early tomorrow to go to the city to buy things with Grandpa and Uncle. You stay home and play with your brothers, okay?"

Lin Qingxue touched her two daughters' heads. She had been busy these days and had not had much time to spend with her children.

Fortunately, the two daughters are really sensible. They know that the adults are busy with their work and will not make trouble at all. Instead, they do what they can to make the adults feel warm.

"I understand, Mom. Go and do your own thing!" Lin Xiaoya agreed with a smile. They knew that they were where they are today thanks to their mother for not abandoning them, otherwise they would have been sold to who knows where.

After Lin Qingxue coaxed the two children to sleep, she went into the space to work. She built two more chicken pens similar to those and drove the roe deer and pheasants in to raise them.

Then, Lin Qingxue planted the wild yam that she had brought in today.

Lin Qingxue went to check on the grain and vegetable seeds she had planted earlier and discovered that they had begun to sprout, making her very happy.

When she came to the water tank, Lin Qingxue saw four somewhat lonely wild rabbits in the water tank. She wove two bamboo curtains with bamboo, stuck one in the middle of the water tank, and placed a wooden barrel horizontally at the bottom of the water tank.

Then, Lin Qingxue used another bamboo curtain to cover the water tank and spread a layer of straw on it. She ran to pick some tender grass and put it in the water tank for the rabbits to eat. Then she left the space and lay down on the kang to sleep.

When Lin Qingxue woke up, everyone in the house was up except the children who were still sleeping. They were sitting in the yard eating breakfast.

"Qingxue, you're up. Go wash up and have breakfast!" Mrs. Lin said lovingly when she saw Lin Qingxue got up.

"Okay," Lin Qingxue responded and went to the kitchen to fetch water to wash up.

By the time she finished breakfast, Uncle Lin and the others had already packed up. Uncle Lin and Lin Qingming each carried a load of wild yams packed in sacks, and Lin Qingran carried a basket.

"Qingxue, this is the private money your three sisters-in-law took out. Please keep it first. We will ask you for it when we need it later," Lin Qingming said as he took out a silver bag and threw it to Lin Qingxue.

"Okay, then I'll keep it first," Lin Qingxue did not refuse. She took the silver bag and put it away.

"Let's go! The sooner you go, the sooner you'll come back," said Aunt Lin as she took a bamboo tube filled with water and put it in the basket on Lin Qingran's back.

"Let's go!"

Uncle Lin walked in front and led everyone towards the county town as he spoke. It was not that they were reluctant to spend the money, but these days everyone was driving ox carts to the city to buy food. They could not borrow an ox cart, nor did they have an ox cart to go to the city.

Fortunately, Linjia Village is not far from the county town. It took Lin Qingxue and his group a full hour to reach the county town. Normally, walking would make them tired, let alone carrying things with them this time.

"Uncle, let's go to the clinic first," Lin Qingxue suggested going to the clinic first as soon as they entered the county town, so as to avoid the fatigue of running around carrying wild yam.

"Okay, I'll listen to you," Uncle Lin nodded. He didn't understand these things, so naturally he listened to Lin Qingxue in everything.

In this way, Lin Qingxue took Uncle Lin, Lin Qingming and Lin Qingran to the clinic, the same clinic where she went just to buy medicine. She felt that the clinic was more fair.

"Brother Xiaoer, does your clinic collect wild yam?" Lin Qingxue asked Uncle Lin and the other two to wait for her at the door. She went in alone to ask clearly, so that everyone would not go in and affect the clinic's treatment and rescue.

"Yes, but the quality depends," said the waiter in the clinic without even looking up. It happened that the clinic had run out of wild yam and needed to restock.

"This is natural. I just dug out my wild yam yesterday afternoon. We don't know how to prepare it. Will you accept it?" Lin Qingxue asked nervously. She didn't know how to prepare medicinal materials either!

"Yes, bring it in for me to see first. I'll call the shopkeeper to come and inspect the goods," the waiter said. Without waiting for Lin Qingxue to answer, he turned around and went to the back to call the shopkeeper to come over.

Lin Qingxue had no choice but to go outside and call Uncle Lin and the other two in. The four of them waited at the counter for about a cup of tea, and then the waiter came over with a middle-aged man in his forties.
