Traveling through thousands of years, I only love you

Li Lingyuan and Xiao Yi decided to try making their own furniture to add more warmth and uniqueness to their home.

On a sunny weekend, the two of them came to a workshop filled with wood and tools. As soon as Li Lingyuan entered, she was captivated by the various novel tools. She excitedly picked up a hammer, waved it in the air a few times, and said to Xiao Yi with a smile, "Xiao Yi, do you think I look like a female carpenter?" Xiao Yi looked at her lively appearance and couldn't help laughing. "Yes, but be careful not to hit your foot."

They first decided to make a small coffee table. Xiao Yi carefully measured the wood, while Li Lingyuan helped pass tools, his eyes filled with curiosity and anticipation. "Xiao Yi, how about this wood?" Li Lingyuan asked, pointing to a beautifully textured board. Xiao Yi walked over, touched the board, nodded, and said, "Not bad, let's use this one."

When they started sawing the wood, Xiao Yi operated the saw intently. Li Lingyuan watched nervously from the side, constantly reminding her, "Be careful, Xiao Yi." Xiao Yi smiled and replied, "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."

Li Lingyuan was also eager to try it. Xiao Yi patiently taught her how to hold the saw and how to use force. Li Lingyuan held the saw with both hands and used all her strength, but the saw did not obey her command and left an irregular mark on the wooden board. She put down the saw in frustration, "Oh, it's so difficult!" Xiao Yi patted her head gently and encouraged her: "It's very good for the first time. You will get better with more practice."

The next step was to polish the wood board. Xiao Yi took the sandpaper and carefully polished the edge. Li Lingyuan felt the smoothness of the polished board with his hands. "Xiao Yi, you are really amazing. The wood board has become so smooth." Xiao Yi smiled and said, "This is not enough. It needs to be more refined."

When it came to the assembly phase, the two worked together to screw the wooden boards and table legs together. Li Lingyuan took the screwdriver and worked hard to tighten the screws, with beads of sweat on her forehead. Xiao Yi looked at her serious look and was deeply moved. "Lingyuan, take a break, I'll do it." Xiao Yi said. Li Lingyuan shook her head stubbornly, "No, I want to finish it with you."

Finally, the coffee table was finished. Li Lingyuan and Xiao Yi stood aside, admiring the fruits of their labor. Li Lingyuan jumped up happily, "We succeeded!" Xiao Yi hugged her, "Yes, this is the result of our joint efforts."

Li Lingyuan suddenly moved closer to the coffee table, took a closer look, and then playfully said to Xiao Yi, "Xiao Yi, this table seems a little crooked." Xiao Yi looked at it with wide eyes and said, "No, it's perfect." Li Lingyuan couldn't help laughing, "I'm just teasing you. I think this is the most beautiful coffee table in the world."

Afterwards, they built a bookshelf together. During this process, the two of them became even more in tune with each other. Li Lingyuan would wipe Xiao Yi's sweat when he was tired, and Xiao Yi would patiently guide Li Lingyuan when he encountered difficulties.

By the time the bookshelf was finished, it was already dark. Li Lingyuan and Xiao Yi placed the new furniture in the living room, then sat on the sofa, looking at the new look of the living room, their hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment and happiness.

Li Lingyuan leaned on Xiao Yi's shoulder and whispered, "Xiao Yi, although I'm very tired today, I'm very happy." Xiao Yi held her hand tightly, "Me too. We will do more things together in the future."
