Seven Gods Guardian: Gun King Mission

Chapter 3 Dangerous Death Forest

At this moment, Wang Zhan was walking in this vast, desolate and lonely land. There was no one around. He had been walking for half a day but had not encountered a single living creature.

Without a timer, Wang Zhan couldn't remember how long he had been walking, nor could he be sure how far he had walked. Anyway, he couldn't see the previous building.

However, what surprised Wang Zhan was that after walking for so long, he didn't feel the slightest bit tired or exhausted. It was as if a mysterious force was supporting him, allowing him to slowly recover his strength. Although the speed was slow, it was very effective.

This strange feeling both excited and confused him.

Wang Zhan originally wanted to find a place to put down the gun in his hand. It was very troublesome to hold a gun in his hand, but he felt that the gun had a connection with him and he seemed unable to live without it.

The interesting thing is that he couldn’t feel the weight of the gun, so he had no choice but to keep moving forward. As he walked, Wang Zhan came to a forest.

The forest looks extremely dense, with tall and ancient trees, and their crowns intertwined to form a green sky.

Suddenly, a strange voice in my head warned me not to go in because it was very dangerous.

But he had no way to retreat, so Wang Zhan hesitated for a moment and finally decided to enter the forest.

The moment he stepped into the forest, a chill hit him and he couldn't help shivering.

He walked forward cautiously when he heard a strange sound, like someone whispering. Wang Zhan stopped, picked up his spear, and looked around cautiously, but saw nothing.

Just as he was about to move on, a hand rested on his shoulder.

Wang Zhan was startled and turned around quickly, but there was no one behind him...

"What? It's just a branch. It scared me." Wang Zhan put down the gun in his hand and pushed the branch away. However, the branch looked like a human hand. Wang Zhan continued to walk inside, looking back as he walked. He always felt that the scene just now was a bit weird. It was obviously a branch that looked like a finger, but it felt very weird.

Suddenly, he seemed to step on something soft. He looked down and saw a corpse!

The corpse was pale and its eyes were wide open, as if it had died with its eyes open.

Wang Zhan was so scared that he stepped back repeatedly and the spear in his hand almost fell to the ground.

He calmed himself down and looked around carefully, only to find corpses everywhere.

Some of these corpses have already rotted and emit a strong stench, but strangely, there are no insects crawling on the corpses. Some are very complete, but look like mummies. The scary thing is that there are several branches piercing those corpses, as if they are sucking the food from them. It looks very weird and scary.

At this time, Wang Zhan heard a eerie cry, which echoed throughout the forest and made people shudder. However, this cry did not sound like that of a human or an animal. It sounded like the cry of various branches rubbing against each other, which sounded very strange.

Wang Zhan was so frightened by the sound that he quickly crawled out from the place where he came in. Fortunately, he did not continue to go inside and only stayed at the edge for a while. In addition, he ran fast and left quickly before those strange big trees merged together, otherwise he would have been completely stuck.

Looking back here, this is a strange forest full of weird things. It seems like an endless black hole, swallowing up all creatures that dare to step into it.

Since ancient times, no one has been able to walk out of here alive, and this forest has become a forbidden place for life.

Wang Zhan was suddenly filled with an inexplicable fear, and the following words flashed through his mind: "This is the Death Forest. No one has ever walked out of it alive."

He didn't know where these words came from, but they felt extremely real, as if they were a memory hidden deep in his heart.

Although he could not recall all of the past, some fragments gradually came to his mind.

Fortunately, when faced with potential danger, Wang Zhan did not choose to be brave, but turned around and ran away without hesitation.

He knew very well that if he hesitated for a moment, he would most likely be swallowed up by this terrible forest and eventually become the nutrients that nourished it.

At this moment, he felt fortunate for his decisiveness, but at the same time he was also worried about his future fate.

However, at the same time, another strange sound seemed to whisper in his ear, tempting him to step in. The voice seemed to say that as long as he bravely stepped into this mysterious place, all the hidden secrets would be revealed. Come in, come in quickly...

This voice was like a demon, constantly echoing in his mind, making it hard to resist. This extremely tempting voice scared Wang Zhan so much that he ran desperately until he could no longer hear the strange and tempting voice.

He collapsed on the ground, panting, his heart still filled with fear.

"What on earth is going on? Why am I here?" Wang Zhan muttered to himself, "And those corpses, and that strange noise..."

He decided to calm down and sort out his thoughts. He recalled the fragments that had just flashed through his mind, perhaps they were the key to solving these mysteries.

The most important thing is that no matter how hard I try to recall, I can't evoke those memories deep in my mind. They are like being covered by an invisible veil, making it difficult to touch.

It's a confusing and unsettling feeling, like you've lost a part of yourself.

Every time I try to recall the past, I feel an inexplicable anxiety in my heart, but my mind is always blank.

"Forget it, I'd rather not think about it anymore. My head will burn if I keep thinking about it. I'd better continue to rush towards the mysterious ruins." Wang Zhan continued to move towards the location of the mysterious ruins helplessly, just wondering why he ended up in the Forest of Death.

I don’t know how long he walked, but Wang Zhan suddenly saw a building in front of him. He was delighted and ran over. When he got closer, he took a look.

Hey, isn’t this the weird and old building that I left before? It seems I went in the wrong direction and came back.

Finally, there was no choice but to go back into the building and take another closer look at the map. I found that I had missed a few points. On the way to the mysterious ruins, there was a dark area with the words "Death Forest Danger, Do Not Enter" written on it. This was a warning, but I just didn't notice it.

The ruins can only be reached by going around this forest. I didn't look carefully when I walked there, and I went to the wrong place, which almost led me to a place I shouldn't have entered.

At this time, Wang Zhan looked at the map carefully. After determining the location of the mysterious ruins, he tried again, but still couldn't take the map down, so he had to give up.

After leaving the building, Wang Zhan followed the instructions on the map, bypassed the Death Forest, and continued on the road to the mysterious ruins.

Along the way, he was more cautious, holding a gun in his hand and paying attention to everything around him.

Soon, he came to a clear stream, the water flowing by, making a clear and pleasant gurgling sound. Wang Zhan decided to rest here for a while, wash his face and refresh himself.

Before I could scoop up a handful of water, I heard a laugh in my ears. "Hahaha, hahaha."

Wang Zhan looked around nervously, but saw nothing.

"Who?" he shouted.

As soon as he finished speaking, a dark shadow suddenly appeared on a tree by the stream. Wang Zhan immediately raised his gun and aimed it at the shadow.

"It's unbelievable that it took you so long to get here. It's beyond my expectation!" "It's hard to imagine that you were able to walk out of that doomsday battlefield and the hands of the dark killer alive."

The shadow slowly walked in front of him. Its face also appeared before him. It was an ordinary-looking man, nothing special about him.

"Prepare for death obediently, my great Lord Emperor of War!" The man in front of him had a fierce look in his eyes. He viciously pulled out an extremely sharp sword that flashed with cold light from his waist and slashed at Wang Zhan without hesitation.

This knife carried a fierce momentum and endless murderous intent, as if it was going to tear the entire space apart. Wherever the blade passed, the air seemed to be cut in two, making a sharp and piercing whistling sound.
