Seven Gods Guardian: Gun King Mission

Chapter 145 Dealing with the Last Bandit

Back at the mountain stronghold, I had just successfully used a concentrated air bomb to blast four bandits playing cards to pieces. The smoke hadn't yet cleared, and I was hiding behind a house, quietly waiting for the group who had gone out on a mission to return.

As for the group that had gone out, they had just finished a fierce battle. Although the battle with the demon wolf was brutal, fortunately they had finally won.

However, the fierce battle also injured the remaining bandits, making them move slowly, so their return journey was extremely slow.

I crouched behind the house, waiting for a long time but didn't sense any of their presence. I muttered to myself, "Why haven't these guys come back yet? Have they gotten into trouble?"

Meanwhile, the injured Blood Knife King was hurrying back to the mountain stronghold with his remaining men. When he was halfway there, he suddenly heard a loud bang, like a thunderbolt from the blue sky exploding in the air.

"Huh? What's that sound?" The Blood Knife King stopped with a look of suspicion on his face and pricked up his ears to listen.

A clever younger brother beside him quickly came over and replied, "Boss, that sounds like an explosion. Judging from the direction, it seems to be coming from our village."

The Blood Knife King frowned, and his face instantly turned gloomy: "Did something happen in the mountain stronghold? No, we must speed up and go back to check it out!" After saying that, he took the lead and took a big step forward.

The third in command, who was following behind, was extremely anxious. He urged his men to speed up and shouted, "Everyone, hurry up! Something must have happened to the stronghold. If we're a step late, we'll be in trouble!"

When the others heard what the third in command said, they quickly grabbed their weapons in panic and rushed towards the direction of the stronghold in a panic.

Unfortunately, however, each of them was suffering from injuries of varying degrees, which made their movements slow and clumsy.

Although they were extremely anxious, they were affected by the pain and no matter how hard they tried to speed up, their speed still could not increase much. Moreover, they were not alone, but a group of people, and they had to pay attention to each other's speed.

As they approached the gate of the village with difficulty, time passed by minute by minute, and I gradually lost my patience while hiding behind the house.

I thought that instead of continuing to wait here, I might as well take the initiative and go directly to the gate of the stronghold to find out what was going on. After a silent battle, all the bandits in the stronghold had been dealt with by me, except for them.

When I arrived at the entrance of the village, my keen perception instantly caught the breath of the group of people outside the door.

But what surprised me was that these breaths seemed extremely weak, like a candle in the wind that could go out at any time. Not only that, judging from the number of breaths, they had actually decreased by more than half compared to when they first set out.

Without the slightest hesitation, I pushed off with all my might, leaping high into the air like a ghost, landing steadily on the platform above the village entrance. From this high vantage point, I could finally take in the full extent of the bandits not far away.

What I saw made me frown, thinking to myself, "How strange! How could they have ended up in such a miserable state? Could they have encountered some powerful enemy along the way and engaged in a thrilling life-or-death battle with them?"

This thought kept circling in my mind, making me more and more curious about the experiences of these bandits. What on earth did they go through outside?

"Forget it. No matter what they went through out there, at least I can relax a lot. Judging from their current state, I estimate that it won't take much effort to deal with them."

He secretly pondered his response, his eyes fixed on the front, paying attention to the group's every move. Taking advantage of the brief gap before they approached, he quickly mobilized the Qi in his body and gathered it between his palms.

A ball of blue light gradually emerged and continued to expand until it formed into a giant air bomb. This air bomb contained a powerful force, enough to defeat the invading enemies in one fell swoop.

As time passed, the enemy's aura drew closer and closer. The energy ball in his hand had condensed to its peak, like a dazzling sun, emitting terrifying energy fluctuations.

At this point, just wait for the enemy to step into the attack range and then you can give them a fatal blow.

The Blood Knife King, leading his men, hurried back to the stronghold. However, they were completely oblivious to the changes taking place within the stronghold and continued their hasty march. When they finally approached, the first thing they saw was the two guards sitting motionless on the ground.

"Hmph! How dare these two guys slack off here? They're so audacious! Seeing us return, they're completely indifferent. They're truly audacious!" Seeing this, the Third In Commander roared in rage. As he spoke, he stepped forward, determined to teach these two reckless guards a lesson.

"Wait!" Just as the Third In Command was about to reach the two guards, the Blood Knife King suddenly reached out to stop him, his face so gloomy that it looked like water could drip out of it. "I'm afraid they've both already met with an accident..."

"What? That's impossible. Did you see it wrong, Boss? How could he suddenly die?" Hearing what the Blood Knife King said, the Third Boss's face was full of suspicion and his eyes widened in disbelief.

"Don't you think it's too quiet in the village? And their postures look strange. It seems that they have no breath and are dead." The Blood Knife King stared at the two people in front of him with a serious face.

"We have to evacuate from here as soon as possible! There might be a big trouble in this mountain stronghold, so we must act with caution!" said the Blood Knife King with a serious expression.

The strange explosion just now, coupled with the bizarre behavior of the two guards at the door, set off alarm bells in his heart. He instantly concluded that something unexpected must have happened inside the village.

At this moment, I was standing above the gate of the village and heard their conversation. I knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

So without hesitation, while the people below were still not able to react, he used all his strength to throw the powerful energy bomb that had been condensed in his hand directly at the group of bandits below.

At this moment, the Blood Knife King, who was standing not far from the door, suddenly became aware of a strong and dangerous aura approaching.

He didn't have time to think, and instinctively used his body skills to dodge to the side at lightning speed. However, the others were unable to react as quickly as he did.

When the Blood Knife King finally managed to steady himself and looked back, he saw me hurling the air bomb down fiercely. He was terrified and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Oh no! Brothers, be careful!"

Unfortunately, before he could even finish his words, I unhesitatingly hurled the air bullet I was holding tightly in my hand. In the blink of an eye, it flew like a falling star, hurtling straight towards the dense swarm of bandits below.

Immediately afterwards, there was a deafening "bang!"

In an instant, it seemed as if the whole world was on fire, and the raging flames shot straight into the sky, like a ferocious beast opening its hideous mouth and ruthlessly devouring everything around it.

At the same time, billowing smoke swept over like surging black waves, quickly covering the area.
