While the three were chatting, the sound of breaking glass and children crying suddenly came from upstairs.

Shen Xiaoxia rushed upstairs in two steps and saw Jiang Musheng and He Xingyao standing next to the spilled juice, with tears in the eyes of the two little guys.

Han Zhuxin was already squatting on the ground cleaning up the glass fragments, while He Tingyuan was using a mop to clean the stains on the carpet.

Shen Xiaoxia walked over and squatted down to check if the two children were injured.

"He's fine," Han Zhuxin threw the glass shards into the trash can. "He was probably just frightened."

"It's all my fault. I wanted to get some juice for my little brother Xingxing..." Jiang Musheng explained with sobs, his little hands tightly clutching the corner of his clothes, fearing that his mother would scold him. "Mom, I'm sorry!"

Shen Xiaoxia brought him over and patted his head. "It's okay, but next time you have to ask an adult for help, okay?"

Jiang Musheng nodded. Seeing that his mother did not blame him, he stopped crying, burst into laughter, and took He Xingyao's hand. The two of them ran out to play again.

After Han Zhuxin finished cleaning up, she looked around the layout of the third floor. Sunlight poured in through the entire floor-to-ceiling window, spreading a warm light spot on the light oak floor.

There is an old ship wood tea table placed by the window. The table top retains the natural wood texture, and there are a few ship nails embedded in the edge, which is simple and unique.

A custom-made white porcelain tea set sat on the table, with two magazines casually spread out beside it and a half-drunk cup of herbal tea still steaming.

"Xia Xia, this place is nice!" Her eyes swept across the entire space. The office area and the leisure area were naturally connected without any deliberate partitions. The functional areas were only divided by the placement of furniture.

There were several cork boards nailed to the wall, covered with design sketches, labels from coffee bean bags, and even a few crayon drawings by Jiang Musheng.

Next to the desk is a whole wall of bookshelves, on which books are neatly stacked. In addition to books, there are also photo frames and many small ornaments, ceramic windmills, glass bottles filled with colored sand, and many strange but cute wood carvings.

"This bookshelf..." Han Zhuxin ran her hand over the smooth wood grain. "Is it custom-made?"

Shen Xiaoxia smiled and nodded, "I drew the blueprint and asked an old carpenter to make it by hand."

"I knew it!" Han Zhuxin turned around, her eyes sparkling. "A machine can't make this kind of curved corner."

Her fingertips gently tapped the smooth curves of the bookshelf's edge. "And this paint, is it ash wood? They've deliberately retained the uneven texture of the wood grain. It's so charming!"

The area against the north wall is covered with thick patchwork mats, as colorful as an overturned palette.

Building blocks and crayons were scattered on the low table, and next to it stood a small blackboard with the words "Mom's coffee is delicious" written crookedly on it.

In the corner of the wall, there is a "small castle" made from old tires, which is full of toys. Jiang Musheng has also covered the outside of the tires with shiny stickers.

"This place is not bad either. Little Mu Sheng will definitely like it..." Han Zhuxin squatted down and touched the smooth cut on the edge of the tire. "What's Jiang Yan's craftsmanship?"

"Yeah, he stayed up all night for two nights," Shen Xiaoxia said with a smile in her eyes. "Mu Sheng insisted on 'helping' and ended up getting his hair stuck with super glue. He had to cut off a bunch of it to get it out."

Han Zhuxin thought of that scene, and the corners of her mouth curled up. She noticed the decorations hanging from the ceiling, a dozen transparent glass bottles filled with liquids of different colors. When the sun shone on them, they cast rainbow-like spots of light on the floor.

"This is……"

"Mu Sheng collects the puddles after the rain," Shen Xiaoxia looked up at the bottles. "Every time it rains, he collects some in a glass bottle, saying he wants to save the rainbow."

Han Zhuxin suddenly quieted down. She walked to the French window, looked at the bustling streets below and the clock tower of Jingshi University in the distance, and after a while she sighed, "Xia Xia, this is more than just an office area..."

The sunlight danced on her body, outlining a warm outline. "This is because you know how to enjoy it!"

Shen Xiaoxia smiled and handed her a cup of freshly brewed jasmine tea. The two stood side by side in the sun, the fragrance of tea and books blending quietly.

The hum of coffee machines and the chatter of customers can be faintly heard downstairs, while this small world on the third floor seems to be gently separated by time, becoming the most peaceful corner in the bustling city.

"By the way," Han Zhuxin suddenly turned around and took out a velvet box from her handbag, "An opening gift."

In the box was a pair of pearl earrings. The pearls were not big, but their luster was as warm as moonlight.

"Like your coffee shop," Han Zhuxin helped her put it on, "It's not ostentatious, but it makes people unforgettable at first sight."

Shen Xiaoxia reached out and touched it, then smiled and said, "Thank you, I like it very much."

Xie Yunheng arrived around eleven o'clock in the morning.

"Old Xie! Over here!" Jiang Yan's voice came from the door. Shen Xiaoxia turned around and saw Xie Yunheng walking in with a few people. They all had professional cameras hanging around their necks.

"This is a reporter from Architectural Quarterly," Xie Yunheng introduced. "They saw the photos of the cafe I sent them and insisted on coming to see it!"

Shen Xiaoxia stepped forward to greet everyone and guided them to visit the structural details of the spiral staircase and glass curtain wall. After everyone finished visiting and taking photos, she asked Jiang Yan to accompany Xie Yunheng to take care of everyone, and took Han Zhuxin to the second floor.

The second floor was already full at this time. Aunt Wang and Chen Mo were very busy, not only tidying up the messed-up books, but also reminding the guests to keep quiet.

Shen Xiaoxia noticed that there was a white-haired old man sitting by the window, reading "Dream of Red Mansions" attentively, with a cup of untouched coffee next to him.

"That's Professor Li from the Chinese Department of Peking University," Aunt Wang whispered to her. "He's been here for a while and said he wants to 'experience the reading environment here.'"

Shen Xiaoxia understood and went forward to get Professor Li a cup of hot tea. The old man looked up and smiled and thanked Shen Xiaoxia.

Shen Xiaoxia asked the old man if there was anything that needed improvement in the library.

Professor Li glanced at the book in his hand, then at the gathered crowd and the surrounding bookshelves. "Books, tea, and sunshine...it's already great!"

At lunchtime, the cafe welcomed its second wave of customers. The eighty "Hutong sandwiches" prepared by Chef Zhou were sold out within half an hour, and Lin Wen's coffee machine almost never stopped.

Shen Xiaoxia rolled up her sleeves and joined the service, serving free tea to the waiting guests.

"Boss!" Lin Wen suddenly popped her head out from behind the bar. "We're running out of espresso beans!"

Shen Xiaoxia was a little surprised. She had reserved enough coffee beans for three days, but she hadn't expected them to be almost gone in just the morning. She gestured for Lin Wen to get back to work, "There's some spare in the warehouse. I'll go get it."

Although there were still many people during afternoon tea time, the atmosphere in the cafe became more relaxed.

On the third floor, Jiang Musheng and He Xingyao were playing with building blocks, while Han Zhuxin was sitting by the window, drinking coffee and drawing design sketches.

"Try this," Shen Xiaoxia brought over a plate of peculiarly shaped snacks. "'Donkey Rolling Tiramisu', a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine."

Han Zhuxin took a sip, and the sweetness of the red bean paste and the bitterness of the coffee blended wonderfully on her tongue. The soybean powder on the surface added a hint of rustic aroma.

"Absolutely amazing!" she exclaimed sincerely. "I think you could develop a new 'Beijing-style dessert' every week and create a special series..."

Shen Xiaoxia laughed, "I thought so too."

The two chatted about each other's recent situation again, and as they were talking, applause suddenly broke out from downstairs.

Shen Xiaoxia looked over and saw that it was Lin Wen performing her latte art skills - she was operating two latte art pots at the same time, outlining a symmetrical phoenix pattern in the wide-mouthed cup.

"Beautiful!" The editor-in-chief of Food Culture raised his camera and took several photos. "This cooking technique is absolutely unique in Beijing!"

Shen Xiaoxia stood up and leaned on the handrail of the spiral staircase, looking at the crowded coffee area on the first floor and the guests reading quietly on the second floor... The sunlight poured through the glass ceiling, casting a bright spot of light under her feet.

Jiang Yan appeared behind her at some point and gently put his arm around her waist. "Boss Shen, did it work?"

Shen Xiaoxia held Jiang Yan's hand and did not answer immediately.

Her eyes swept over the reporter discussing architectural details with Xie Yunheng, Aunt Wang chatting happily with Professor Li, Chen Mo helping Lin Wen clear the cups and plates, and the conversation between He Tingyuan and Qin Song in the corner...

Finally, it fell on Jiang Musheng who was distributing cookies to the children. The little guy seemed to sense his mother's gaze and looked up with a creamy smile.

"This is just the beginning." Shen Xiaoxia said softly.

This is just the beginning, it will get better.
