"The Monkey King in the film was our idol as children."

"But now some people interpret it differently, saying that Journey to the West is a satirical novel, in which all the monsters with connections were taken away, and those without connections were killed."

"This view is also supported by the fact that during the Qing Dynasty's repeated attempts to stifle culture, these three books were banned."

Tang Dynasty

Some people still know about Monk Tripitaka. Although he was smuggled out in history, he had a great reputation before. What kind of illegal thing could a monk do?

The disciples of Monk Sanzang were even more angry. Their master was the emperor's guest of honor, so how could he have violated any rules?

Why doesn't the Qing Dynasty do anything good?

Ming Dynasty

Zhu Yuanzhang also constantly cursed the Qing Dynasty, saying that it banned books. They must have thought that these three novels were banned in the Ming Dynasty. They were really petty.

Wu Cheng'en was also shocked. His Journey to the West didn't have much to say, so why was it banned? It was full of stories about subduing demons and monsters, with no love stories.

"There's also a little unofficial history circulating that says when the Qing Dynasty was still the Great Jin, they treated the Romance of the Three Kingdoms as a military manual and banned it because they were afraid the common people might learn strategies from it."

In the early Ming Dynasty, Luo Guanzhong was so confused that he couldn't catch his breath. What kind of explosive unofficial history was this? If he were so powerful, he would have assisted Zhang Shicheng to ascend the throne long ago.

Do I still need to write novels?

Qing Dynasty

Qianlong threw the blue and white porcelain hand-pressing cup in his hand again. When did this kind of unofficial history come out? The Qing Dynasty was able to conquer the world because of its great virtue and benevolence.

And it doesn't kill the culture.

Aren’t these novels from the Ming and Qing dynasties? Why are there three books about the Ming Dynasty? It would be fair to have two books for each dynasty.

"The last Dream of the Red Chamber was written by Cao Xueqin during the Qing Dynasty. His grandfather was Cao Yin, a senior official during the reign of Emperor Kangxi. Due to some political issues, his family was confiscated by the then-emperor Emperor Yongzheng."

"After experiencing great ups and downs, Cao Xueqin spent more than ten years and revised the manuscript three times before finally writing this masterpiece, Dream of the Red Chamber. However, the book was originally 120 chapters, but due to some incidents, only 80 chapters were circulated."

"The last forty chapters were supplemented by Gao E, but the quality is quite different from Cao Xueqin's. The main reason is that he didn't really experience wealth and prosperity like Cao Xueqin did. For example, in the first few dozen chapters, they ate eggplant, pickled goose feet, and pheasant soup, but in the last forty chapters, they ate noodles with spiced kohlrabi."

Cao Yin was very happy when he heard that his grandson was famous. However, he was able to write this novel because his house was ransacked.

It's totally off the mark.

After walking back and forth in the mansion several times, he had no other choice but to beg for his bones from the old master, hoping that he could watch his grandson grow up in peace.

"Dream of the Red Chamber is an important example for studying life at that time, so there are Redologists and Redology Societies in later generations."

The literati of the Ming and Qing dynasties were so excited that they could not control themselves. Just a novel could be valued so much by later generations. If they could write a better one, how would later generations commemorate them?

"Liao Zhai Zhi Yi (Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio) is a novel of the genre of strange stories, and many of them have been adapted into movies and TV series in later generations."

Qi Cheng searched for some information on the computer and found the memorial hall of Pu Songling in later generations, as well as some of the adapted TV series.

It was just past six o'clock when Qi Cheng finished answering the questions. He was lying on the bed and checking his phone, and then he saw the live broadcast of the local marathon. Because some of his colleagues were participating, he decided to watch it carefully, maybe he could see it.

The marathon held here is quite special. It is called the Starry Sky Marathon and starts after 5 pm.
