Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 879 Final Showdown ()

Like a flash of lightning, the mysterious man charged at the beast, the light emanating from the mysterious weapon in his hand growing ever brighter. That light seemed to pierce the darkness, illuminating the hope within the hearts of the people. Against the backdrop of the light, the mysterious man appeared fearless and heroic. His gaze was firm, his steps were vigorous, and each step carried a resolute momentum.

The beast, sensing the threat posed by the mysterious man, roared and swung its massive claws in an attempt to block the attack. Its roar shook the valley, sending shivers of fear through the air. But the mysterious man, nimble and agile, dodged the attack with a single swerve, thrusting his weapon into the beast's belly. His movements were fluid, without a single slur.

"Puff!" The weapon pierced the beast's body, and black blood gushed out like a fountain. The blood, with a strong fishy smell, splashed onto the ground, instantly corroding the surrounding vegetation.

Everyone's spirits lifted, and they attacked again. The woman's magical light transformed into sharp arrows, piercing the beast's eyes. Those arrows flashed with brilliant light, streaking through the air like meteors. Lingyu, wielding a dagger, stabbed the beast's legs. His movements were swift, and each thrust was powerful. The old man, struggling to support his weakened body, cast a supporting spell on everyone. The tip of his staff shone with a soft light, enveloping everyone, giving them a sense of their strength gradually returning.

The beast struggled in agony, its movements becoming slower and the flames in its mouth less intense. Its eyes were filled with anger and resentment, but it was unable to withstand the combined attack of the crowd.

Zhang Hao struggled to his feet, wiped the blood from his mouth, and re-gripped his sword, rejoining the battle. His eyes burned with rage, and every swing of his sword carried boundless hatred. His clothes were tattered, and the wounds on his body were still bleeding, yet he seemed insensitive to the pain.

"Everyone, try harder! It's almost broken!" the mysterious man shouted. His voice was full of power, inspiring everyone.

Everyone responded in unison, and the attack intensified. Their shouts echoed through the valley like a war song.

The beast roared its last, dying struggle. Its massive body twisted wildly, stirring up a gust of wind. The howling wind blew the crowd's hair and clothes into a mess. But the crowd did not retreat. Their eyes were filled with determination, vowing to defeat the beast once and for all.

The mysterious man leaped high into the air and fiercely plunged the mysterious weapon into the beast's head. His body traced a graceful arc in the air, and at that moment, time seemed to stand still.

"Boom!" The huge body of the beast fell to the ground with a loud bang, raising a cloud of dust. The dust flew all over the sky, blocking everyone's vision.

Everyone stopped attacking, breathing heavily, their faces showing the joy of having survived. Their bodies were exhausted, but their hearts were filled with the joy of victory.

"It's finally over..." The woman collapsed on the ground, tears welling up again. Her tears contained both joy and the fear and tension she had felt before.

The little girl ran towards Zhang Hao and threw herself into his arms. Her little face was covered with tears and dust, but was also filled with a smile.

Lingyu and the old man also supported each other, their faces full of fatigue, but their eyes were full of relief and relaxation.

The mysterious man put away his weapon and walked in front of the crowd.

"Thank you very much! If you hadn't showed up in time, we might have been..." Zhang Hao said gratefully. His voice was hoarse but full of sincerity.

The mysterious man smiled slightly and said, "You're welcome. We live and die together. This is what I should do." There was fatigue on his face, but more of a sense of accomplishment.

Just as everyone was about to take a break, a loud noise suddenly came from the distance. It sounded like many people running, with footsteps and shouts intertwined.

"What is this?" Ling Yu looked vigilantly in the direction where the sound came from.

Zhang Hao frowned, "Whatever it is, let's get ready first."

Everyone forced themselves to cheer up and gripped their weapons tightly again.

As the sound got closer, a group of figures appeared in everyone's sight...
