Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 829 Light of Hope (8)

After defeating the beast, everyone collapsed to the ground exhausted, gasping for breath. The little girl burst into tears, tears streaking her dirty face. "I'm so scared! I want to go home," she sobbed, her voice filled with fear and grievance.

The old man quickly held her in his arms and comforted her softly, "Don't be afraid, child. We have passed the first level and will be able to go home soon." His voice was hoarse and gentle, and he gently patted the little girl's back.

Zhang Hao struggled to his feet. His clothes were tattered, and his body was covered in wounds and blood, but his eyes remained firm. "We can't stay here for long. We must continue to search for a way out." His voice was weak but firm, as if supported by an invisible force.

The woman and Lingyu supported each other and stood up. The woman's hair was scattered messily on her shoulders, and Lingyu's face was full of fatigue. The mysterious man also gritted his teeth and endured the pain as he followed behind. His steps were a little unsteady, but his eyes still showed his unyielding spirit.

They continued along the passage, the atmosphere still tense, everyone's nerves on edge, worried about the unknown dangers. The road beneath their feet was bumpy and uneven, and they walked with one foot deep and one foot shallow.

After walking for a while, a faint light appeared in front of us.

"Is that the exit?" the little girl asked hopefully. Her eyes suddenly lit up and she stared at the light with anticipation.

Sparks of hope suddenly ignited in everyone's eyes, and their originally heavy footsteps became lighter, and they quickened their pace towards the light.

As the distance got closer, the light became brighter and brighter, and finally, they walked out of the passage and came to a wide valley.

The sun shone brightly in the valley, its warm rays casting a gentle soothing light upon them. Birds sang cheerfully in the branches, and colorful flowers clashed in bloom. A gentle breeze carried bursts of fragrance, a stark contrast to the darkness and danger they had just experienced.

"We're out! We're out!" The woman was so excited that tears welled up in her eyes. She opened her arms, feeling the sunshine and the breeze, her face filled with the joy of surviving the disaster.

Everyone cheered and enjoyed the hard-earned light and tranquility. They ran and laughed on the grass, as if to release all their fear and fatigue.

The old man took a deep breath and said, "Thank God for letting us see the light of day again." He raised his head and looked at the blue sky, his face full of gratitude.

Zhang Hao looked into the distance and said, "But our mission has not been completed yet. The ruins are still waiting for us to explore." His voice was calm and firm, which made everyone who had just relaxed feel a chill in their hearts.

After a short rest and adjustment, everyone's physical and mental strength were restored to a certain extent. They packed their luggage and prepared to set off again.

"Let's go!" Zhang Hao gave an order, and everyone set out on their journey again.

Along the way, they admired the beautiful scenery and felt relaxed. The green mountains and clear waters around them made them forget the difficulties and obstacles they had encountered before.

Suddenly, Lingyu spotted some strange footprints on the ground. "Everyone, be careful! These might be left by some kind of creature," Lingyu said cautiously. She squatted down and carefully observed the shape and size of the footprints.

Everyone immediately became alert. Zhang Hao gripped his sword tightly and walked cautiously in the direction of the footprints, taking every step with extreme caution, fearing to alert any possible danger.

In a forest, they found a hidden cave. The entrance of the cave was covered by dense vegetation and it would have been difficult for them to find it if it were not for these footprints.

"This cave looks mysterious. Perhaps it's related to the ruins," the mysterious man said, his eyes filled with curiosity and anticipation.

"Let's go in and take a look." Zhang Hao led the way into the cave. A damp smell filled the air, and a faint light flickered on the walls. They walked cautiously, as the ground beneath their feet was a bit slippery.

Suddenly, a deep roar echoed from the depths of the cave. Everyone's heartbeats accelerated, and they gripped their weapons tightly, ready to face the unknown challenge...
