Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 803 Horror Forest

Suddenly, a sinister laugh echoed through the forest. It seemed to come from hell, echoing in the darkness and chilling everyone's blood. The laughter was sharp and piercing, like a sharp blade, piercing everyone's heart.

"Who is it?" Zhang Hao glanced around warily, gripping his sword even tighter. His eyes were as sharp as a hawk's, scanning the darkness for any suspicious movement. The blade gleamed coldly in the dim light, as if eager to drink the enemy's blood.

The woman unconsciously moved closer to Zhang Hao and said in a trembling voice, "This laughter is terrible." Her body trembled slightly, and her hands were tightly grasping the magic wand, her knuckles turning white from the force.

The old man pulled the little girl closer and whispered, "Everyone, be careful. We might be in danger." His voice was steady and calm, but a hint of worry lingered in his eyes. The little girl hid behind the old man, her frightened eyes exposed as she stared intently at the darkness around her.

The mysterious man frowned and listened carefully to the source of the laughter. His ears twitched slightly, trying to grasp any useful information from the chaotic sound.

The laughter grew closer, and the atmosphere around them grew more eerie. In the darkness, faint green dots of light appeared, like pairs of eyes peering at them. Those dots of light flickered in the darkness, appearing and disappearing, making it difficult to understand.

The herbalist was so frightened that his legs went weak. "What the hell is this thing?" His voice was filled with tears and he almost collapsed to the ground.

Zhang Hao took a deep breath and said, "Don't be afraid, we will face it together." His voice was firm and powerful, giving everyone a little courage.

At this moment, those green dots of light suddenly rushed towards them at a speed as fast as lightning.

Only then did everyone see clearly that they were a group of hideous monsters. Their bodies were twisted, like deformed products twisted by darkness. Their sharp claws flashed coldly in the darkness, as if they could easily tear through anything.

Zhang Hao didn't flinch, swinging his sword at the monster. The collision of sword and claw sent a shower of sparks flying. His movements were swift and decisive, each strike carrying the determination to kill.

The woman quickly cast her magic, sending beams of light towards the monster. The magical light blossomed in the darkness like brilliant fireworks, but it carried deadly power.

The mysterious man and the old man also joined the battle, and for a moment, the forest was filled with shouts and cries of killing. The mysterious man's figure was like a ghost, shuttling among the monsters, his weapon wielding a streak of cold light, reaping the monsters' lives. The old man continuously cast powerful spells, providing support and protection for the others.

These monsters were incredibly ferocious, and the crowd gradually felt powerless. Zhang Hao had already suffered multiple wounds, and blood stained his clothes. The woman's magic power was also about to be exhausted, and the magic light was becoming increasingly weak.

"This isn't going to work. We have to find their weaknesses." Zhang Hao shouted as he fought. His voice was a little hoarse from exhaustion, but his eyes remained firm.

The old man observed the monsters' movements and suddenly said, "Their eyes seem to be their weak point."

Taking the hint, everyone focused their attacks on the monster's eyes. Using the last bit of his strength, Zhang Hao thrust his sword into one of the monster's eyes. With a scream, the monster fell to the ground.

Others followed suit, and for a while, the screams of monsters could be heard one after another.

After a fierce fight, the monster was finally driven back, the ground was littered with its corpses, and the air was filled with the smell of blood.

"Finally, I'm safe for now." The herbalist slumped to the ground, breathing heavily. His face was covered in a mixture of sweat and blood, and his eyes were filled with relief at having survived.

However, before they could rest, a low roar was heard from the forest again. This roar was even more terrifying than the previous laughter, as if it came from an ancient beast, full of endless anger and majesty.

"What...what is this?" the woman asked in horror.

Zhang Hao stood up and wiped the blood off his face. "No matter what it is, we can't retreat."

Everyone once again grasped their weapons, ready to face new challenges...
