Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 774: Forest Beast

A gigantic monster emerged from the depths of the forest. Its body was the size of a mountain, its fur standing up like steel needles, and its eyes gleamed with a fierce gleam. With every step it took, the ground trembled slightly, the surrounding trees swayed, and leaves fell like raindrops. Its massive limbs felt like towering pillars, and every movement unleashed a gust of wind that rustled everyone's clothing.

"This... how do I fight this?" The herbalist collapsed to the ground in fear, his face pale, his lips trembling, his eyes filled with despair and fear. His body trembled continuously, as if he had lost all strength, and he could only stare helplessly at the terrifying beast.

Zhang Hao took a deep breath. "Don't be afraid, everyone. Let's find a solution together!" He feigned composure, his gaze fixed on the beast, his mind racing with thoughts of a response. His heartbeat raced, but he knew he couldn't retreat now. He had to lead everyone in facing this enormous threat.

The woman gripped her wand tightly. "Perhaps we can use magic to disrupt its movements." Her voice trembled, yet it still revealed a hint of determination. Beads of sweat covered her forehead, and her hands trembled slightly with nervousness, but she still managed to concentrate and prepare to cast her magic.

The old man held the little girl behind him, "No matter what, protect the child first." His eyes were firm, as if telling the little girl not to be afraid. Although his body was old, he exuded a fearless aura, ready to sacrifice for everyone at any time.

The beast opened its bloody maw and let out a deafening roar, the sound waves impacting everyone's heart. The sound was like the roar from hell, making everyone's soul tremble. A foul stench erupted from its mouth, almost suffocating everyone.

Zhang Hao rushed forward first. "Attract its attention!" he shouted. He swung his sword at the beast's leg, but the strike only left a shallow mark on its fur. He felt a numbing sensation in his arm, and a sharp pain in his knuckles.

The beast, enraged, raised its massive claws and slashed at Zhang Hao. The claws felt like giant iron plates, accompanied by a whirring sound. Zhang Hao nimbly rolled out of the way, leaving a large crater in the ground, sending dirt flying everywhere.

The woman seized the opportunity to cast a spell, sending beams of light shooting into the beast's eyes. The light streaked across the beast like a meteor, instantly illuminating the surrounding darkness. The beast, irritated by the light, slowed its movements slightly, then shook its head in anger.

The old man also waved his staff, releasing a force to try to restrain the beast's movements. The force transformed into rays of light that wrapped around the beast, but the beast struggled hard, and the rays of light shattered instantly.

The herbalist was trembling beside him, "What...what can I do?" His voice was tearful, his legs were weak and he could hardly stand.

"See if there's anything useful around here!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was a little weak amid the roar of the giant beast, but it was filled with determination.

The herbalist looked around frantically and suddenly found some huge vines. Those vines were as thick as arms and extremely tough.

"Perhaps we can trap it with these vines!" the herbalist cried. His voice was sharp with fear, but this discovery gave him a glimmer of hope.

Everyone worked together to guide the vines towards the beast. Zhang Hao constantly attracted the beast's attention, making it move in the direction of the vines. The woman and the old man cast magic, controlling the vines' growth and entanglement.

The beast grew increasingly enraged under their attack, struggling constantly. Its strength was immense, and the vines creaked as it struggled, as if they would break at any moment.

Just when everyone thought they were about to succeed, the beast suddenly burst out with a powerful force and broke free from the vines. It swung its body violently, throwing everyone out.

Zhang Hao fell heavily to the ground, feeling as if his internal organs had shifted. The woman and the old man also collapsed nearby, blood oozing from the corners of their mouths. The herbalist was thrown against a tree and passed out.

The little girl was so scared that she started crying, "Grandpa, Grandpa!"

The giant beast walked towards the little girl, its eyes full of murderous intent.

"No!" Zhang Hao struggled to get up and rushed towards the beast again...
