Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 690: Terrifying Roar

The eerie sound echoed continuously in the passage, like the cries of countless wronged souls, its sharp and shrill voice piercing everyone's eardrums. Everyone looked at each other, their eyes filled with fear and uneasiness, and the fear in their hearts grew stronger.

"What the hell is this thing?" The woman's voice was obviously trembling. Her face was as pale as paper, and her delicate body was trembling slightly.

Zhang Hao's brow furrowed, his gaze warily fixed on the depths of the passage. The profound darkness seemed capable of devouring the soul. "Whatever it is, we must be prepared." His voice was low and firm, his grip on the sword tight, his knuckles white from the exertion.

The old man was breathing heavily, his already wrinkled face now even more worried. "I'm afraid we're in big trouble this time," he said, pulling out a pill from his pocket and swallowing it, trying to regain some strength.

The man in black robe silently recovered his magic power, his face solemn, his eyes closed, muttering to himself, and the magical fluctuations around him were looming.

As the sound got closer, a strong sense of oppression came over me. It was like a mountain pressing down on my head, making it difficult to breathe and my heart skipped a beat.

Suddenly, a massive monster burst from the darkness. Its body was the size of an ox, its sturdy limbs brimming with explosive power, yet it possessed sharp fangs and a ferocious face. Its fangs, like pointed spears, gleamed with a cold light. Its eyes were like flaming fireballs, spewing furious flames. A pungent, nauseating stench emanated from its body, as if emanating from the depths of hell.

"Ah!" The herbalist collapsed to the ground in fear, his legs weak and unable to stand. His eyes were wide open, filled with endless fear.

The monster opened its bloody mouth and spewed out a black smoke. The smoke quickly spread and instantly enveloped everything around it.

"Get out of the way!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was a little blurry in the smoke, but still full of power.

Everyone quickly scattered, their movements swift and frantic. Smoke filled the air, blurring their vision and making them feel as if they were in a state of chaos.

The woman accidentally inhaled some smoke and suddenly felt dizzy. Her steps became unsteady and her body was shaky.

Seeing this, Zhang Hao hurriedly supported her and asked, "How are you?" His voice was full of concern and anxiety.

"I... I'm fine." The woman tried to answer, but her voice was weak and it was obvious that the situation was not optimistic.

The old man waved his staff, trying to disperse the smoke. The staff flashed with light, and it collided with the black smoke, making a "sizzling" sound.

The monster took the opportunity to attack again, waving its claws towards Zhang Hao and the others, stirring up a gust of wind, the howling sound was terrifying.

Zhang Hao pulled the woman away, barely avoiding the attack. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead. "Everyone, focus on attacking its eyes!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the corridor.

Everyone unleashed their unique skills, sending light and magic flying towards the monster's eyes. Lights of various colors intertwined, forming a brilliant curtain of light.

The monster roared in pain, angrily roaring so loud it seemed to collapse the entire passage.

It attacked them even more frantically, and the passage was in chaos. Its massive claws slammed into the ground, sending up countless rocks and dust. Its tail swept across like a giant whip, lashing out at everything around it.

Just when everyone felt powerless, the man in black discovered the monster's weakness in its belly. His eyes lit up and he shouted, "Attack its belly!"

Zhang Hao didn't hesitate, sword in hand, as he charged towards the monster's belly. His figure flashed like a flash of lightning, instantly passing through the smoke.

The woman also forced herself to cheer up and cast her last spell to provide cover for Zhang Hao.

The herbalist picked up a wooden stick from the ground and hit the monster with all his strength.

The old man kept throwing out talismans, trying to interfere with the monster's actions.

After a fierce struggle, the monster finally fell to the ground. Its body twitched a few times and then stopped moving.

Everyone collapsed on the ground exhausted, breathing heavily, their bodies covered in wounds and blood, their clothes in tatters.

However, before they could recover, a strange sound came from the depths of the passage. The sound was like a low whimper, but also like a sharp cry, which made people shudder.

"What...what is this?" the herbalist asked in horror, with tears in his voice.

Zhang Hao stood up with difficulty and said, "No matter what it is, we have to face it." His eyes were still firm, but there was also a hint of fatigue in them.

Everyone endured the pain in their bodies and prepared to fight again...
