Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 664 Unknown Threat (1)

The deep roar echoed through the valley, causing everyone's hearts, which had just relaxed, to rise to their throats again. Zhang Hao looked warily in the direction of the sound. "Everyone, be careful. There might be danger." His voice was deep and powerful. Although his body had not yet fully recovered from the previous fatigue, his eyes were full of alertness.

The woman unconsciously moved closer to Zhang Hao, her body trembling slightly. "This sound sounds so scary." Her voice was filled with obvious fear, and her hands tightly grasped the corner of Zhang Hao's clothes, as if that was her only life-saving straw.

The herbalist clenched the wooden stick in his hand and said, "No matter what it is, I will fight it if it comes." He widened his eyes and revealed a determination on his face, as if he was ready to fight to the death with the unknown enemy.

The old man frowned and said, "Don't be impulsive, let's see the situation first." His voice was steady, but it could not hide his inner nervousness. His eyes were fixed on the front, trying to find a clue from the fog.

The black-robed figure silently chanted an incantation, preparing for any potential crisis. His lips moved rapidly, and the staff in his hand emitted a faint glow. The air around him seemed to grow heavy with his magic.

As the roar drew closer, the ground began to shake slightly. Everyone's faces grew increasingly solemn, and they stared nervously ahead. Each tremor was like a hammer striking their hearts, accelerating their beats.

Suddenly, a gigantic monster burst out of the mist. Its body was as big as a mountain, covered in hard scales that gleamed coldly in the sunlight, making it seem indestructible. Its eyes, like blazing fireballs, radiated a ferocious light that made anyone afraid to look directly at it.

"What kind of monster is this!" the woman exclaimed. Her voice became shrill with extreme fear, and her face turned pale as paper.

Zhang Hao gritted his teeth and said, "Don't be afraid, we will deal with it together." His voice was firm and decisive, giving everyone a sense of courage and confidence.

The monster opened its bloody maw and lunged at the group. A foul, nauseating stench emanated from its mouth. Zhang Hao dodged the monster's attack and swung his sword at its legs. The sword clashed with its scales, creating a sharp sound and sending a shower of sparks flying.

The monster roared in pain, a roar so deafening it threatened to collapse the entire valley. With a swipe of its tail, it swept the herbalist to the ground. The herbalist cried out in pain and rolled several times on the ground.

"Herbalist!" the old man called out. His voice was filled with concern and anxiety. He wanted to rush over and help the herbalist up, but he didn't dare to leave his position easily.

The woman quickly cast a spell, and a beam of light shot towards the monster's eyes, temporarily disrupting its vision. The light streaked across like a meteor, accurately hitting the monster's eyes and causing it to pause.

The black-robed man took the opportunity to release a powerful magic, hitting the monster's back. The magic power exploded on the monster's back, lifting a piece of scales, but the monster did not seem to be seriously hurt.

The monster grew even more enraged, attacking everyone frantically. Its claws were like sharp blades, each swing carrying a deadly threat. Everyone dodged and retreated under its attacks, looking utterly miserable.

Zhang Hao dodged the monster's attacks while searching for its weaknesses. His eyes quickly scanned the monster's body, his mind racing. He noticed that the monster's belly seemed less well-protected; the scales there weren't as dense and hard as those elsewhere.

"Everyone, focus on attacking its belly!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice echoed throughout the valley, instantly letting everyone know the next target.

Everyone responded, all attacks directed towards the monster's belly. The woman's magic light, the herbalist's stick, the old man's talisman, and the black-robed man's magic, like a torrential rain, poured down on the monster's belly.

Under the siege of the crowd, the monster gradually lost its strength. Its movements became slow and its breathing became heavy.

Just when everyone thought victory was within reach, the monster suddenly unleashed a powerful force, knocking everyone away. Their bodies flew in different directions like kites with broken strings, and then fell heavily to the ground.

Zhang Hao fell heavily to the ground, his vision blacking out. His body felt as if it were falling apart, and every bone ached. But his will remained firm. "I can't give up like this!" He endured the pain and stood up again.

He refocused his gaze on the monster, his heart filled with indomitable determination. "Everyone, cheer up! We will definitely defeat it!" His voice rang out again, inspiring everyone.

The woman, the herbalist, the old man and the man in black robes also struggled to get up from the ground, the flames of battle also burning in their eyes.

A more intense battle is about to begin...
