Rise of the Otherworld.
Chapter 63 Post-War Rest (1)
After the great battle, the Zhenwang Sect was filled with a heavy, exhausted atmosphere. The once magnificent sect buildings were now in ruins. The smoke of gunpowder had not yet completely dissipated, and the air was filled with the pungent smell of blood and burning. The injured disciples were carried back to the sect one after another, their groans and cries intertwined, weighing heavily on the heart.
Lin Yu and Tang Feng stood in the sect's square, looking at the devastated surroundings, their hearts filled with mixed emotions. The square, once bustling and full of life, was now covered with traces of battle, broken bricks and tiles were everywhere, and blood had dried in the cracks of the stone slabs.
"First arrange for the disciples to clean up the battlefield and count the casualties." Lin Yu said in a low voice, his eyes revealing deep worry and fatigue.
Tang Feng nodded and immediately set about making arrangements. His steps were heavy and resolute, and he vowed to himself that he would restore the sect to its former glory as soon as possible.
The disciples, grieving their wounds, began to clean up the battlefield. They sorted through the broken weapons and bloodstained clothing one by one. Their movements were slow and laborious, but each face held a resolute expression. One disciple picked up a broken sword, and tears welled up as he recalled fighting alongside his comrades.
In the healing room, doctors worked tirelessly to treat the injured. The room was filled with the scent of herbs, and busy figures moved about. A young disciple, suffering from severe injuries, passed away in agony, leaving his companions grief-stricken. "Why, why is he gone like this?" A disciple, who had always been very close to him, clenched his fist and punched the wall.
"You must hold on. The sect needs you." A doctor encouraged another seriously injured disciple. The disciple looked pale, but still nodded with all his might. "I will, for the sect."
Lin Yu personally went to each room to visit the injured disciples, his eyes full of concern and guilt. The face of each injured disciple made him feel heartbroken.
"It's my fault that I didn't protect everyone." Lin Yu said self-reproachfully, his voice trembling slightly.
"Master, this is not your fault. We fought for the sect and have no regrets in death." A disciple said weakly. He tried to force a smile to reassure Lin Yu.
Meanwhile, Tang Feng's brow furrowed as he tallied casualties and losses. This battle had cost the True King Sect dearly, with numerous disciples killed and wounded and a massive loss of supplies. The figures in the ledger were shocking, and they weighed heavily on him.
"We must find a way to replenish supplies as quickly as possible and restore the sect's strength." Tang Feng thought secretly. He paced back and forth in the room, thinking about various possible solutions.
In the days that followed, the Zhenwang Sect entered an intense period of rest and recuperation. Disciples recuperated from their injuries while simultaneously strengthening their cultivation. Those with less severe injuries, once they had regained some strength, eagerly began their training, knowing full well that only by continuously strengthening themselves could they protect the sect.
Lin Yu and the elders continued to discuss the sect's future development strategy.
"We must learn lessons from this battle and improve our defensive and offensive tactics," said an elder, his expression serious and his gaze firm.
"We must also strengthen the training of our disciples to improve their overall strength," another elder added. "At the same time, we should also seek external support and cooperation."
Everyone nodded and fell into deep thought.
However, just as the True King Sect was resting and recuperating, some unfavorable news arrived from the outside world. Some forces that had been eyeing the True King Sect, seeing the heavy losses suffered by the True King Sect in the battle with the Shadow Sect, began to make moves, trying to take advantage of the opportunity to suppress it.
Can the Zhenwang Sect quickly recover from these difficulties and rise again? How will they deal with external threats and challenges?
