Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 530 The Power of the Mysterious Book

Zhang Hao walked over to the stone platform and picked up the ancient scroll. The moment his hand touched the scroll, a powerful force surged through his body. Like a surging tide, this force coursed through his meridians, causing him to tremble uncontrollably. He felt as if his body was about to burst from this force, and every inch of his skin ripped with a tearing pain.

"Zhang Hao, how are you?" the old man asked with concern. His voice was filled with worry, and his brows were furrowed. He walked quickly towards Zhang Hao, the staff in his hand flickering slightly, as if ready to cast a healing spell for Zhang Hao at any time.

Zhang Hao gritted his teeth, trying to adapt to the force. "I'm fine, it's just too strong." Beads of sweat covered his forehead, and his face was pale, but his eyes revealed a resolute and unyielding spirit. He endured the pain, holding the scroll tightly in his hands to prevent it from slipping.

He slowly opened the scroll, only to see the words shimmering with a strange light, as if they were alive. Those words were ancient and mysterious, like a call from ancient times, making it difficult to grasp.

"What on earth is written here?" The black-robed man approached, a puzzled look on his face. He stared intently at the words on the scroll, trying to discern some clue, but the strange symbols made him feel dizzy.

Zhang Hao concentrated his mind, trying to decipher the words. Gradually, a look of shock appeared on his face. His eyes widened, and his breathing became rapid.

"This scroll records the secrets of the divine artifact and the rise of an evil force," Zhang Hao said in a heavy voice. His voice trembled, as if he was shocked by the contents of the scroll.

The herbalist said anxiously, "Then what should we do?" His face was full of anxiety and his hands kept rubbing the corners of his clothes.

Zhang Hao took a deep breath, "According to the book, we must find the various parts of the artifact in order to stop the evil force. But this process will definitely be full of difficulties and obstacles." He swept his eyes over the crowd, his eyes full of firmness and determination.

Everyone looked at each other, knowing that the road ahead was full of unknown dangers, but there was no sign of retreat in their eyes.

At this moment, the chamber began to shake violently, and rocks began to fall from the sky. Rocks of all sizes rained down, hitting the ground with dull thuds.

"Oh no! This place is going to collapse!" the old man shouted. His voice was filled with anxiety. The staff in his hand shone brightly, forming a small shield to protect everyone.

Everyone rushed towards the exit, their steps hurried, stumbling on the shaky ground. Zhang Hao, clutching the scroll tightly, rushed ahead, clearing the way for everyone.

In the chaos, Zhang Hao held the scroll tightly, fearing it would be lost. He was scratched by falling rocks, but he ignored them, with only one thought in mind: protecting the scroll.

They finally escaped the secret room, only to find that the cave outside had also become unstable. Huge cracks appeared on the cave walls, and debris kept rolling down.

"Everyone be careful!" Zhang Hao warned loudly. His voice was particularly loud in the noisy environment.

Suddenly, a huge rock rolled down from above and smashed towards the herbalist. The rock was enormous and had the power to destroy everything.

The black-robed man was quick to push the herbalist away, but he himself was hit in the leg by a rock. "Ah!" He let out a scream of pain.

"The man in the black robe!" everyone exclaimed, their voices filled with fear and worry.

Zhang Hao and the old man quickly lifted the rock and rescued the man in black robe. Blood was flowing from his legs and his face was as pale as paper.

"I can still walk. Leave me alone and get out of here," the black-robed man said, enduring the severe pain. His voice was weak, but still firm.

The group supported each other and struggled forward in the collapsing cave. Every step they took was accompanied by falling rubble and the shaking of the cave.

Finally, they escaped from the cave and came to the forest outside. The forest was peaceful and quiet, in stark contrast to the danger they had just experienced.

"This time I was practically saved from death." The herbalist sat down on the ground, gasping for breath. His clothes were tattered, and he was covered in dust and blood.

Zhang Hao looked at the scroll in his hand and said, "But we have obtained important clues and cannot give up." His eyes were firm as he looked into the distance, as if he saw the difficult challenges in the future.

Everyone nodded, rested briefly, and then, exhausted, continued on their journey to find the artifact's parts. Their figures gradually faded away through the forest, leaving behind them a steadfast faith and unyielding courage...
