Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 514 A Difficult Battle

The monster roared angrily, its attacks intensifying. Every movement of its massive body whipped up a gust of wind, shaking the surrounding trees. The crowd gradually fell into a difficult situation under the monster's attack, but they didn't retreat, continuing their stubborn resistance.

Blood continued to seep from Zhang Hao's wounds, his clothes already stained red. But his gaze remained resolute, and he swung his sword with increasing ferocity. Each strike was laced with a desperate determination, seeking to inflict as much damage as possible on the monster. His breathing became rapid, and sweat streamed down his forehead, yet his movements remained unwavering, like a tireless warrior.

The old man's magic gradually dimmed, his face paled, and his once straight back bent slightly. The incantation continued unabated, the ancient, mysterious language echoing in the air, a final ray of perseverance and hope. He concentrated all his magical power on his staff, and a powerful beam of light shot into the monster's eyes. The monster, in pain, took a few steps back. This brief respite allowed everyone to regain their composure.

The black-robed figure seized this opportunity, leaping onto the monster's back and stabbing its neck with his weapon. His presence was like lightning in the darkness, swift and resolute. However, the monster swung back with a force like a landslide, sending the black-robed figure plummeting to the ground. His body rolled several times before finally coming to a halt with difficulty, a trickle of blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.

The herbalist looked at the others anxiously, his hands trembling as he repeatedly threw hidden weapons made of herbs. These weapons streaked with green light through the air. Although they caused minimal damage to the monsters, they did buy his companions some breathing space.

"We can't let it defeat us like this!" Zhang Hao shouted, his voice full of unyielding determination. His voice echoed through the forest like a battle horn, inspiring everyone's fighting spirit.

Hearing this, everyone regained their spirits. There was no longer any fear or retreat in their eyes, only firm belief and fearless courage.

Zhang Hao discovered that the monster's right leg seemed to be its weak point. He winked at the old man and the man in black robes. At that moment, an invisible tacit understanding seemed to flow between them.

The old man understood what he meant and cast another spell. This time the spell was even brighter, like a golden rope, temporarily restraining the monster's movements.

The black-robed figure quickly rushed to the right side of the monster. His speed was as fast as the wind, and his figure disappeared in an instant. Zhang Hao followed closely behind, sword raised high, ready to deal a fatal blow to the monster.

They both attacked simultaneously, their swords and weapons slashing at the monster's legs. At that moment, the air seemed to be torn apart, emitting a sharp whistling sound.

The monster roared in pain, the sound so deafening that it hurt the eardrums. Its body tilted and fell to the ground, splashing a cloud of dust.

Everyone seized the opportunity and rushed forward, launching a final assault on the monster. Various weapons and spells intertwined with the monster's body, creating a gorgeous yet brutal scene.

After a fierce fight, the monster finally stopped moving and lay on the ground, breathless. Its huge body gradually turned cold, and the surrounding ground was stained red with blood.

"We succeeded!" the herbalist shouted excitedly. His voice was hoarse with excitement, and his face was filled with a mixture of joy and exhaustion.

However, before they could rest, the woman in white appeared before them. Her figure was as silent and ghostly as a ghost.

"Congratulations on passing the first test. Next is the second test—wisdom," the woman said. Her voice was still gentle, but it carried an irresistible majesty.

Before them appeared a vast maze, its walls towering into the sky, with no end in sight. Those walls were covered with strange symbols and patterns, exuding a mysterious aura.

"You need to get out of this maze within the specified time, otherwise you will be trapped here forever." The woman's voice echoed in the air, as if it was the verdict of fate.

Zhang Hao took a deep breath and said, "Everyone be careful and follow me closely." His voice was firm and steady, giving everyone a sense of security.

They walked into the maze, and as soon as they entered, they felt a strong pressure coming at them. The paths in the maze were intricate and complicated, and every fork in the maze made people feel confused and bewildered.

Zhang Hao carefully observed the surrounding walls and ground, trying to find clues. The old man closed his eyes, relying on years of practice and experience to feel the flow of magic in the maze.

The man in black robe was cautiously exploring the way ahead, and the herbalist followed closely behind, holding some herbs tightly in his hands in case of emergency.

After walking for a while, they came to a three-way intersection.

"Which way should we go?" asked the man in black robe.

Zhang Hao pondered for a moment and pointed to the road on the left, "Go this way."

They continued along the road on the left, but soon found a dead end ahead.

"How could this happen?" the herbalist asked anxiously.

Zhang Hao frowned, "Let's go back and take the middle road."

The group turned back and walked into the middle road. This road was filled with a layer of light fog, making people's vision blurry...
