Chapter 511 Mysterious Passage (2)
Everyone was swept up in the powerful air current, their bodies tumbling involuntarily. Zhang Hao felt dizzy and his vision blurred. The whole world seemed to be spinning madly, his body being tossed around by an invisible force, powerless to resist.
After an unknown amount of time, they finally fell heavily to the ground. Zhang Hao endured the pain all over his body and struggled to get up. His body was covered with scrapes and bruises, and every movement sent a piercing pain.
"Is everyone okay?" he asked loudly, his voice echoing in the silent passage, tinged with anxiety and worry.
"Ahem, I'm fine," the old man replied with a cough. His face was pale, and his once neat clothes were now tattered and disheveled.
The black-robed man and the herbalist also stood up one after another. Their bodies were also covered with wounds, but there was still a determined light in their eyes.
They looked around and found themselves in a mysterious passage. The walls on either side of the passage were inlaid with faintly glowing gemstones. Like stars twinkling in the night sky, these gemstones barely illuminated the path ahead. But this faint light made the passage seem even more eerie and terrifying, as if it concealed countless unknown dangers.
"What is this place?" the herbalist asked doubtfully, his voice trembling with fear and anxiety.
Zhang Hao shook his head, "I don't know, but we have to find an exit as soon as possible." He looked ahead firmly, holding the sword tightly in his hand, as if it was his only support.
They walked cautiously along the passage. The ground beneath their feet was very slippery and they could fall if they were not careful. With every step they took, they could feel a chill rising from the soles of their feet and penetrating into their hearts.
As they walked, they heard the sound of gurgling water, which was clear and melodious, and seemed particularly beautiful in the quiet passage.
"There seems to be a source of water ahead," the black-robed man said. There was a hint of surprise in his voice, as if he saw a glimmer of hope in the endless darkness.
Sure enough, after turning a corner, they saw a clear stream. The stream water sparkled silvery under the light of the gems, like a flowing Milky Way.
Zhang Hao squatted down, scooped up some water with his hands, and washed his face. The cool stream water made him feel refreshed, temporarily forgetting his pain. "This water looks very clean," he said.
At this moment, several strange creatures suddenly jumped out of the water, with sharp teeth, and pounced on them. Those creatures were extremely fast, as fast as lightning.
"Be careful!" Zhang Hao quickly drew his sword and slashed at the creature that lunged at him. His movements were clean and sharp, and the sword flashed a cold light through the air, instantly slicing the creature in half.
The old man and the black-robed figure also engaged, engaging the creatures. The old man muttered something, casting spells, sending beams of light piercing the creatures. The black-robed figure, with his agility, weaved between the creatures, brandishing his weapon relentlessly, creating a bloody hail.
The herbalists watched nervously from the sidelines, constantly cheering them on.
After a fierce battle, they finally wiped out all the creatures. The ground was covered with corpses and blood, and the stream was dyed red.
"This place is truly full of dangers," the herbalist panted, his forehead covered in sweat and his eyes filled with fatigue.
"Keep going, maybe the exit is just ahead," Zhang Hao encouraged everyone. His voice was firm and powerful, bringing a glimmer of courage and hope to everyone.
As they continued along the stream, the passage became wider and wider. The originally narrow space gradually opened up, making people feel a little more relaxed.
Suddenly, a huge stone door appeared in front of them, covered with strange symbols. Those symbols were distorted and seemed to be an ancient and mysterious language.
"What is this?" the black-robed man asked, his voice filled with confusion and caution.
Zhang Hao walked forward and carefully observed the symbols. "Maybe it's some kind of mechanism." His brows furrowed as he tried to decipher the meaning of the symbols.
Just as they were pondering how to open the stone door, they heard muffled footsteps behind them. The footsteps were heavy and powerful, each step seeming to shake the ground. Everyone's faces instantly grew solemn. They slowly turned around, only to see a massive figure appear behind them...
