Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 462 New Crisis

Zhang Hao and the herbalist had just experienced the thrill of hunting down a wild beast and falling into a trap. Before they could even catch their breath, the noisy sound in the forest grew closer and closer. The sound was like countless demons roaring in their ears, making them feel terrified.

"What's going on?" The herbalist's face was filled with fear, his voice changing tone. His eyes were wide open, filled with fear of the unknown.

Zhang Hao frowned and looked vigilantly in the direction of the sound. "I don't know, but it's definitely not a good thing." He gripped the hilt of the sword tightly, and his knuckles turned white from the force.

As the sound approached, a group of dark shadows emerged from the thick fog. They turned out to be a group of armed bandits. Their faces were looming in the mist, looking particularly ferocious and terrifying.

"Haha, I didn't expect to run into two unlucky guys here," the leading bandit laughed loudly. The scar on his face looked even more hideous in this gloomy environment. The laughter echoed in the silent forest, like a mockery from hell.

Zhang Hao protected the herbalists behind him and asked, "What do you want to do?" His voice was low and powerful, full of majesty.

"What are you doing? Hand over all the valuables on you, and maybe I can spare your lives." The robbers pressed forward step by step, their eyes full of greed and viciousness.

Zhang Hao clenched the sword in his hand, "Don't even think about it!" His eyes were firm and there was no intention of retreating.

Seeing this, the bandits rushed forward. In an instant, swords flashed and shadows clashed, and shouts of killing echoed through the forest. Zhang Hao was nimble, and his sword danced in his hand like a dragon, blocking the bandits' attacks again and again.

The herbalist was extremely worried, but he couldn't help because of his leg injury. He could only hold the stick tightly and pray silently for Zhang Hao.

Zhang Hao, outnumbered, gradually lost strength. His breathing became rapid, and sweat soaked his clothes. Just then, a bandit took advantage of his unpreparedness and slashed at him with a knife.

"Be careful!" the herbalist shouted, his voice shrill with nervousness.

Zhang Hao dodged to the side, but his arm was still scratched. Blood stained his sleeve, and the stinging pain made his brows frown even tighter. The pain slowed his movements slightly.

"Boy, today is your death!" The bandits became even more arrogant. They thought Zhang Hao was powerless to resist, so they attacked him even more recklessly.

Zhang Hao thought to himself, "I can't just sit there and wait for death." He took a deep breath, endured the pain, and suddenly exerted his strength, using a special move. His sword was as fast as the wind, and he instantly repelled several robbers.

The robbers were intimidated by his aura and did not dare to move forward. They looked at each other with a hint of hesitation in their eyes.

"Hurry up!" Zhang Hao pulled the herbalist along and took advantage of the opportunity to run deeper into the forest. Their footsteps rustled on the fallen leaves, like a countdown to death.

The robbers were chasing them relentlessly, "Don't let them get away!" Their shouts echoed in the forest, making people terrified.

Zhang Hao and the herbalist ran desperately for who knows how long before they finally got rid of the robbers. They stopped under a big tree, gasping for breath.

"Hoohoo... I think we're safe for now," Zhang Hao gasped. His face was pale, but his eyes remained firm.

The herbalist's leg injury had worsened from running, and blood had seeped through the bandage. "Zhang Hao, I'm afraid I can't walk anymore." His voice was filled with despair and pain.

"Don't give up, I'll carry you." Zhang Hao squatted down without hesitation. Although his shoulders were thin, they were full of strength.

Just as they were about to move on, they found a turbulent river in front of them, blocking their way. The river roared and the waves hit the rocks on the shore, making a huge noise.

"What should I do?" The herbalist looked at the river, his heart filled with despair.

Zhang Hao looked around and said, "We must find a way to cross the river." His eyes were determined and he began to look for a way to cross the river.

Just then, they heard the voices of the robbers coming again.

"They must be nearby, look carefully!"

Zhang Hao's heart tightened. Time was running out, and they had to make a decision quickly...
