Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 44: Survival from Desperate Situation (1)

In the dark, damp cave, the members of the True King Sect's team tensed, as if time had stood still. The team leader listened carefully to the sounds outside the cave, not missing a single one. The atmosphere inside the cave was filled with tension, and everyone's breathing seemed especially heavy.

"Everyone, please be patient. I feel that the enemies outside have not completely left." The team leader said softly, his voice was particularly clear in the silent cave.

The team members nodded silently. Although their eyes were tired, they were more determined and unyielding. The faint light filtered through the cracks in the cave, illuminating their resolute faces.

After an unknown amount of time, the cave finally quieted down. The team leader cautiously leaned out, his eyes warily observing his surroundings. He moved extremely slowly, fearing to cause any unnecessary commotion. After confirming that the Shadow Sect's masters had left, the team leader breathed a sigh of relief.

"Get ready to go! We need to get back to the sect as soon as possible," the team leader said. His voice was low but filled with urgency.

The team members stood up, packed their bags, and quietly walked out of the cave, their steps as light as cats, trying not to make any noise.

However, they hadn't gone far before they encountered danger again. A group of ferocious monsters suddenly emerged from the woods and blocked their way. These monsters were huge, with sharp fangs and a fierce gleam in their eyes.

"Be careful!" the team leader shouted. His voice instantly broke the calm, and the team members' hearts suddenly rose to their throats.

The monsters, claws and fangs bared, lunged at them. The air suddenly filled with tension and fear. The team members quickly deployed their forces and engaged in a desperate battle with the monsters. Their weapons gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and each attack required the utmost strength.

One team member had his arm scratched by the monster's claws, but he gritted his teeth and continued to fight. Another team member nimbly dodged the monster's attacks, looking for opportunities to counterattack.

After a fierce battle, although several team members were injured, they still managed to repel the monster. Their bodies were covered in blood and sweat, and their breathing was rapid.

"No more delay, hurry!" the team leader urged. There was a hint of anxiety in his voice, because they knew that time was running out and they had to return to the sect as soon as possible.

Just as they were desperately trying to get on with their journey, one of the team members collapsed due to exhaustion and serious injuries.

"Hurry, help him up!" the team leader said anxiously. His eyes were full of concern, and he quickly ran over to help.

Everyone supported each other and continued to move forward. Every step was full of hardship, but they did not give up.

Finally, they saw the gate of the Zhenwang Sect. The familiar buildings and fluttering flags brought a surge of warmth and hope to their hearts.

"They're back!" The disciples in the sect cheered, their voices filled with joy and anticipation.

Lin Yu hurried over and saw the injuries of the team members. His heart ached. His eyes were full of concern and worry.

"You've worked hard. Go down and heal your wounds first." Lin Yu said. His voice was gentle and firm, which made people feel at ease.

The team leader did not even take a rest and immediately reported the mission situation to Lin Yu.

"Master, the Shadow Gate's alliance has already grown to a preliminary scale, and our plan to alienate them is not going smoothly." The team leader had a guilty look on his face, and his voice was filled with helplessness and self-blame.

Lin Yu patted his shoulder and said, "You have done your best. Let's make a long-term plan next." There was a thoughtful glint in Lin Yu's eyes. He knew that the Zhenwang Sect was facing unprecedented challenges.

In the days that followed, a tense atmosphere permeated the True King Sect. The elders discussed countermeasures day and night, and the disciples practiced even harder.

Lin Yu stood on the top of the mountain, looking into the distance, and secretly swore in his heart: No matter what, he must protect the Zhenwang Sect and not let the Shadow Gate's conspiracy succeed.

Can the True King Sect find a way to deal with the Shadow Gate Alliance? The future is full of uncertainty.
