Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 406: Crisis 4 (2)

After going through untold hardships, Zhang Hao and the woman finally returned to where everyone was. They were in a disheveled state, their clothes torn and stained with blood and dust.

"How's it going? Have you got the evidence?" Mo Ying asked anxiously. His eyes were filled with anticipation and nervousness, and his hands unconsciously tightened around the hilt of his sword.

The woman took out the secret letter, and everyone gathered around, looking at it solemnly. The secret letter seemed to carry the fate of the entire city, and everyone's eyes were fixed on it.

"With this letter, we can expose the evildoers' conspiracy," Feng Wuhen said. There was a hint of relief in his voice, but the worry on his face did not diminish.

However, before they could rejoice for long, they noticed something was amiss in the surrounding atmosphere. Suddenly, subtle noises could be heard from the previously quiet environment, as if countless pairs of eyes were watching them from the darkness.

"It seems someone is approaching," a disciple said warily. His voice trembled slightly, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

Before he finished speaking, a group of men in black surrounded him from all directions. Their figures were like ghosts, swift and silent.

"You can't escape!" the leading man in black sneered. His voice was like the cry of a night owl, chilling to the bone.

Zhang Hao and others quickly prepared for battle, and everyone's eyes were full of determination.

"Everyone, be careful! These people are here with bad intentions!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice echoed in the air like a battle horn.

The battle was about to break out. The men in black surged forward like a tide, their moves fierce and sharp. Zhang Hao and his men fought back fiercely, the clash of swords and shouts of killing intertwined.

Mo Ying's swordsmanship grew increasingly fierce, his figure moving like a ghost through the enemy horde. Each strike carried a powerful internal force, capable of repelling several foes. His eyes burned with rage, as if to devour all of his enemies.

Feng Wuhen, with his nimble agility, weaved through the enemy ranks. His movements were light and agile, like leaves in the wind, difficult to predict. His dagger stabbed out from time to time, causing considerable trouble for the enemy.

However, the enemy was numerous and strong, and Zhang Hao gradually lost the upper hand. Their physical strength was constantly depleting, and their wounds were increasing.

"This isn't going to work. We have to find a way to break out!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was hoarse from exhaustion, but still full of strength.

At this moment, the woman discovered a flaw in the enemy.

"Follow me!" she shouted, a hint of urgency in her voice.

Her eyes were firm and resolute as she led everyone in that direction. They followed her closely, as if they had grabbed their last straw.

After a fierce fight, they finally broke out of the encirclement, everyone gasping for breath, their faces covered in sweat and blood.

However, before they could catch their breath, another wave of enemies caught up with them.

"These guys are really haunting us!" a disciple complained, his voice filled with helplessness and anger.

Zhang Hao looked around and said, "Run into the woods and use the terrain to get rid of them!" His eyes were firm, as if he had already come up with a plan to deal with it.

Everyone ran towards the woods, which were covered with dense trees and thorns, making their escape more difficult. Their clothes were torn by branches and their skin was scratched by thorns, but no one stopped.

But it was precisely because of this terrain that the pursuers slowed down.

"Everyone, run separately and gather in the valley ahead!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice echoed through the woods, pointing everyone in the right direction.

The crowd dispersed, and Zhang Hao and the woman ran in one direction. Their footsteps rustled on the fallen leaves, like a countdown to death.

The pursuers behind them were still hot on their heels, and Zhang Hao and the woman's strength was constantly depleting. Their breathing became rapid and their steps became heavy.

"You go first, I'll hold them off!" Zhang Hao stopped and turned to face the pursuers. His eyes were firm and fearless, and he held the sword tightly in his hand.

"No, we have to go together!" the woman said firmly, her eyes filled with reluctance and worry.

"Don't dawdle, hurry up!" Zhang Hao shouted, his voice filled with unquestionable determination.

The woman bit her lip and turned away with tears in her eyes. She knew that she couldn't drag Zhang Hao down at this moment.

Zhang Hao faced his pursuers alone, his figure lone and resolute in the woods. The wind blew his clothes, and his eyes were like burning flames.

"Come on, let me see what you can do!" Zhang Hao roared.

A fierce battle is about to begin. Can Zhang Hao resist the pursuers and buy time for everyone?
