Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 191: Breaking the Deadlock (2)

Lin Yu was blown away by the powerful force and fell heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust. He felt his internal organs churning and severe pain like a tide, but he quickly struggled to get up, his eyes revealing an unyielding determination.

"Master, are you okay?" the disciples shouted with concern, their voices filled with worry and anxiety.

Lin Yu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, leaving a bright red mark on his hand. "I'm fine, everyone, hold on for a while!" His voice was a little weak, but full of strength, bringing a glimmer of hope and courage to the disciples.

He took a deep breath, adjusted his chaotic aura, and rushed towards the statue again. This time, he didn't blindly stab the rune with his sword. Instead, he calmed down and carefully observed the energy flow around the rune. His eyes were focused and sharp, not missing any subtle changes.

Lin Yu discovered that the light on the rune would change with the statue's movements, sometimes strong, sometimes weak, as if there was some kind of pattern. "Could it be..." Lin Yu's heart moved, and a bold idea emerged in his mind. He began to try to get close to the rune between the statue's attacks. Each time, he was in danger. If he was not careful, he would be hit by the statue.

Just as Lin Yu was concentrating on studying the runes, a statue suddenly attacked him. The statue was extremely fast, with a whirring sound.

"Master, be careful!" A disciple rushed over recklessly and used his body to block the attack for Lin Yu. The disciple was knocked away by the powerful impact and fell heavily to the ground, spurting blood from his mouth.

"Don't worry about me, protect yourself!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his heart full of emotion. His eyes were slightly red, and he secretly vowed to crack the rune and lead everyone out of the predicament.

After several dangerous attempts, Lin Yu finally found the key to cracking the rune. He discovered that only by attacking at a specific angle and force at the moment when the rune's light was weakest could the rune's power be broken.

He concentrated all his spiritual energy, channeling it into the sword. The blade shone with a dazzling light, as if to dispel the surrounding darkness. Then, seizing the perfect moment, he thrust the sword towards the rune.

This time, there was no force to rebound, the runes dimmed instantly, and the statue stopped moving, as if its soul had been sucked out.

"Success!" Lin Yu shouted excitedly, his voice full of joy and pride.

The other statues seemed to be affected as well, their movements becoming sluggish and no longer as flexible and ferocious as before.

Seeing this, the crowd's morale soared, and they unleashed their strongest moves. Spiritual energy shimmered throughout the hall as they engaged in a final battle with the statue. Some disciples cast fire spells, enveloping the statue in blazing flames; others harnessed the power of ice to freeze it.

After a fierce battle, the remaining statues were finally defeated one by one.

However, before they could celebrate, a deep roar emanated from the depths of the hall. This sound seemed to come from an ancient beast, filled with anger and majesty, causing the entire hall to tremble.

"What...what is this?" a disciple said in horror.

Lin Yu frowned. "No matter what it is, we can't retreat. Everyone be careful and prepare to deal with it!"

Everyone gripped their weapons tightly and looked vigilantly in the direction of the sound.

As the roar grew closer, a powerful aura filled the air. A gigantic monster slowly emerged from the darkness. Its body was even larger than the previous statue, covered in hard scales that gleamed with a cold light.

"This is..." Xiaoyaozi's face was solemn.

Can they defeat this powerful monster?
