Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 179 A bright future

After Lin Yu and the others got rid of the shadows, they rested for a while and continued to search for clues about the missing disciples. Their figures looked tired but determined in the barren forest.

"Master, where should we go next?" asked a trusted disciple. His voice was slightly hoarse, and his face was full of fatigue and confusion. Sweat slid down his cheeks and dripped onto the dry ground. His clothes were torn by branches, and many wounds were aching, but his eyes were still firmly looking at Lin Yu, waiting for instructions.

Lin Yu stood on a huge rock, looked around, and after thinking for a moment, he said, "Let's go further along this path and see if we can find some new clues." His voice was tired, but it was full of unquestionable determination. There was a spark of hope in his eyes, as if he had seen a ray of light in the darkness.

The group continued on their way, cautiously. The path beneath their feet twisted and turned, strewn with gravel and thorns. Every step required immense effort. From time to time, subtle noises could be heard in the grass on either side, perhaps the wind stirring the grass, perhaps the sign of lurking danger.

Suddenly, Lin Yu discovered a strange symbol carved into a tree by the roadside. The symbol was so shallow that it could be easily overlooked if one did not look closely. The lines of the symbol were twisted and mysterious, as if they contained some deep meaning.

"This symbol seems to be a secret code between our True King Sect disciples." Lin Yu's eyes lit up, and a glimmer of hope surged in his heart. His eyes instantly became sharp, as if he saw a ray of light in the darkness. He walked quickly to the tree, carefully observing the symbol, trying to decipher the message.

Following the direction indicated by the symbol, they arrived at a hidden cave. The entrance was obscured by dense vegetation, making it difficult to find without the symbol. A thin layer of mist hung over the cave entrance, making it difficult to see what was inside.

"Everyone, be careful. There might be danger." Lin Yu warned, his voice low and serious. He gripped the sword tighter, leaned forward slightly, and prepared to deal with any emergency at any time. He took the first step carefully and walked into the cave.

They entered the cave, which was filled with a pungent odor. It was a sickening smell, like a mixture of rotting corpses and poisonous herbs. The air in the cave was damp and cold, making people feel creepy.

"This smell... like some kind of poison," a disciple said, covering his mouth and nose. His voice trembled, his eyes filled with fear. His heartbeat accelerated rapidly, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

Lin Yu frowned and continued to go deeper into the cave. The cave was dark and damp, with puddles of unknown liquid on the ground and strange lights flickering on the walls. Those lights flickered, as if they were a symbol of some evil power.

Deep in the cave, they finally found the missing disciples, lying on the ground in a mess, motionless, their faces as pale as paper.

"Quick, check on them!" Lin Yu said anxiously, his voice filled with worry. He rushed over in two steps, squatted down, and checked the condition of the disciples. His fingers rested on the pulse of a disciple, feeling the weak beat.

After careful examination, it was discovered that the disciples had simply been drugged and were unconscious.

"Fortunately, no one is in danger." Lin Yu breathed a sigh of relief, and his tense nerves relaxed a little. But he knew that the danger was not over yet, and they had to take their disciples away from this place as soon as possible.

Just as they were about to leave the cave with their disciples, a loud noise came from outside. The sound was getting closer and closer, accompanied by the sound of heavy footsteps and the clash of weapons.

"Oh no, maybe the Shadow Cult is chasing us." Lin Yu's face changed, and a hint of determination flashed in his eyes. "Everyone prepare to fight, and be sure to protect the unconscious disciple!"

Everyone quickly took their positions, nervously gazing out of the cave, their heartbeats remarkably clear in the silence.

The members of the Shadow Cult gradually approached the cave, their figures looming in the mist at the cave entrance.

"Charge in, leave no one behind!" The voice of the Shadow Cult leader sounded, full of cruelty and coldness.

Can Lin Yu and others successfully escape from the cave with the unconscious disciples?
