The President's Tender Trap
Chapter 73 Lu Ming's Protection
"You know what? I always think that a wedding should be a happy thing, not a source of stress." Lu Ming said softly on the way, looking at Su Wan gently.
"I know, but I just can't help wanting to be perfect." Su Wan sighed, feeling the tension in her heart rising again.
"Perfection isn't necessarily the goal. What's important is the moments we have together." Lu Ming smiled faintly, his eyes revealing a firm belief. "We should enjoy the process and not let it become a burden."
Su Wan turned her head to look at Lu Ming, and her heart couldn't help but warm. She knew that he wanted her to be happy, not overwhelmed by the preparations for the wedding. So, she tried to adjust her mindset and try to relax.
During their walk, Lu Ming kept sharing lighthearted topics with Su Wan, telling her about little anecdotes in life and even imitating some funny expressions, which made Su Wan burst into laughter. Her laughter echoed in the night sky, as if dispelling the haze in her heart.
"You really know how to make people happy." Su Wan smiled, and her mood gradually improved.
"This is my mission, to make sure you are always happy." Lu Ming said seriously, with a determined light in his eyes.
As time went by, Su Wan gradually let go of her anxiety and began to enjoy every moment with Lu Ming. She realized that the true meaning of a wedding lies in the commitment and companionship between each other, not in the perfection of every detail.
In the days that followed, Lu Ming continued to support and comfort Su Wan in his own way. He would often take her to her favorite cafe to enjoy a lazy afternoon, or go to the movies together to relax her tense nerves.
"You know what? I've been thinking lately that after the wedding we can go on a trip and enjoy our honeymoon." Lu Ming said with a smile while sipping his coffee.
Amelia Su’s eyes sparkled: “Where to go? I want to go to the beach!”
"Then let's go to the beach, with sunshine, sand, and gentle waves." Lu Ming's eyes were full of longing. "We can walk on the beach, enjoy the sunshine, and relax."
"It sounds great." Su Wan felt a sense of yearning, and a happy smile appeared on her face.
With Lu Ming's company, Su Wan's mindset gradually improved. She began to enjoy the wedding planning process rather than viewing it as a burden. Whenever she felt nervous, Lu Ming would gently comfort her and offer encouragement.
"It doesn't matter even if something is not perfect. We will face it together." One night, Lu Ming held Su Wan's hand tightly and said firmly.
"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan looked at him gratefully, her heart filled with warmth and security.
Sometimes, Su Wan would feel uneasy about some small details, and Lu Ming would always be able to detect her emotional changes in time. He would take the initiative to ask her how she felt, give her gentle advice, and help her adjust her mindset.
"We can simplify the wedding process so that we won't be so nervous," Lu Ming said. "Why not let the wedding planner take care of some of the details? We can just enjoy the wedding."
"Will this seem like I'm not being attentive enough?" Su Wan hesitated.
"There are many ways to show your heart, but the most important thing is the intention behind our being together." Lu Ming's voice was gentle but firm. "I hope you can relax and walk into the wedding hall happily, instead of feeling exhausted on that day."
Su Wan felt Lu Ming's concern and her heart warmed. She knew that Lu Ming wanted her to have a wonderful wedding instead of putting all the pressure on herself.
With Lu Ming's encouragement, Su Wan gradually began to let go of her anxiety and focus on the exciting details of the wedding. She began to communicate more deeply with the wedding planner, understand every aspect of the wedding, and make decisions with Lu Ming's company.
"I think this arrangement is very good. The wedding process is simple and clear, and it allows us to better enjoy the present moment." Su Wan said to Lu Ming with a smile.
"That's right, as long as we are together, everything can become beautiful." Lu Ming smiled slightly, with firm belief in his eyes.
As the wedding preparations progressed smoothly, Su Wan felt more relaxed. She began to enjoy every moment of planning the wedding with Lu Ming, feeling the happiness and warmth.
"Thank you for always being by my side and making me feel safe." Su Wan said softly one night, nestling in Lu Ming's arms.
"This is what I should do. Being able to spend my life with you is my greatest happiness." Lu Ming hugged her gently, his heart full of tenderness.
Under Lu Ming's protection and support, Su Wan gradually regained her confidence. She understood that while the wedding was important, the most important thing was the love and companionship between them. Whenever she recalled the moments she had with Lu Ming, her heart was filled with warmth and emotion.
Finally, the wedding took place as planned. Witnessed by their family and friends, Su Wan and Lu Ming walked into the wedding hall, their hearts filled with happiness and emotion. Despite the stress and anxiety they experienced during the preparations, it all transformed into endless sweetness and joy at the moment of the wedding.
"I do." Amidst everyone's blessings, Su Wan and Lu Ming made vows to each other, their hearts filled with anticipation for the future.
At that moment, all the anxiety and pressure vanished, leaving only their love and commitment to each other. Lu Ming held Su Wan's hand tightly, his heart filled with determination. Just as they had promised, they would face every challenge of the future together and spend every moment of their lives together.
As the wedding day approached, Su Wan and Lu Ming realized that in order for their families to get to know each other better and strengthen their relationship, they should hold a family reunion. Such a reunion would not only allow both parents to meet, but also allow them to share their expectations and suggestions for the wedding, thus eliminating barriers and promoting understanding.
"I think we can invite both sides' families to a party and discuss wedding matters." Su Wan suggested during a dinner.
"That's a great idea!" Lu Ming nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Not only will this allow both families to get to know each other, but it will also give them a better understanding of our wedding."
So, the two began actively planning the details of the party. They chose a weekend evening and invited both sets of parents and relatives to a cozy restaurant for dinner. To make the party more intimate, Su Wan and Lu Ming prepared some small games and interactive activities in advance to liven up the atmosphere.
On the day of the party, the sun was shining brightly, and the warm spring breeze blew gently, as if bringing good blessings to this family gathering. Lu Ming and Su Wan arrived at the restaurant early, set up the table and decorations, and prepared to welcome the family.
