The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 45 Unexpected Disagreement

The sun shone brightly and the breeze blew gently on the second day at Qingshan Lake. Su Wan and Lu Ming's trip seemed full of endless possibilities, yet minor disagreements surfaced. The two had originally intended this trip to strengthen their relationship, but as the journey unfolded, their personality differences began to surface.

During breakfast, Su Wan excitedly suggested: "We can go climb that mountain today. I heard that the scenery at the top of the mountain is very beautiful. Also, I checked and there is a small waterfall there. The scenery must be very nice!"

Lu Ming nodded: "That's a good idea, but we have to go check out the activities by the lake first. There's a handicraft market there, and I'd like to check it out."

"But we can go to the handicraft market tomorrow." Su Wan said a little dissatisfiedly, "The weather is so good today, we should go hiking, otherwise we will miss the best opportunity."

"I think the things in the market are very interesting. It would be nice to go shopping." Lu Ming's tone sounded a little insistent.

"But I really want to go hiking!" Su Wan's voice rose a little, and she felt a little unhappy in her heart.

"I know you want to go hiking, but I have my own ideas." Lu Ming frowned, his emotions beginning to fluctuate. "Can we go to the market first and see what happens before deciding?"

"I think it's unfair that you're always the one who decides the itinerary." Su Wan's voice was filled with grievance. "The trip I want is something we decided together, not just you."

Lu Ming was stunned for a moment, feeling a pang of displeasure. "I'm not saying I should make the decision alone. I just think this is a good option." He tried to remain calm, but a hint of impatience inevitably lingered in his tone.

The argument between the two gradually escalated, and the atmosphere instantly became tense as the surrounding tourists cast curious glances at them. Su Wan felt aggrieved, while Lu Ming felt lost and helpless.

"You are always like this and never consider my feelings." Su Wan said indignantly, with anger flashing in her eyes.

"It's not that I don't consider you, I just want to make our trip more fulfilling." There was a hint of helplessness in Lu Ming's voice. He didn't expect things to develop to this point.

"But I also want this trip to be full of my own personal touch!" Su Wan's emotions erupted at this point. "I want to have my own experiences, not just listen to you all the time." During the argument, their personality differences became increasingly apparent. Su Wan yearned for novelty and change, eager to explore life's diversity; Lu Ming, on the other hand, valued stability and security, accustomed to relying on the familiar. These differences were fully exposed during the trip, exacerbating their emotional volatility.

"Okay, I think we should go to the place you mentioned first." Lu Ming finally chose to compromise. Although he was a little unhappy, he didn't want to continue arguing.

"I hope you can consider my opinion more." Although Su Wan felt a little sorry in her heart, she was unwilling to show it.

In this way, the two walked towards the mountain in silence, but the atmosphere became increasingly depressing. Even though the scenery around them was picturesque, their hearts were filled with alienation.

During the climb, Su Wan felt exhausted, but her mind was still thinking about the argument. Her mood became heavy, and no matter how beautiful the scenery was, it could not hide the loss in her heart.

"Are you okay?" Lu Ming noticed that Su Wan looked unwell and asked with concern.

"I'm fine." Su Wan tried to look relaxed, but she couldn't let it go in her heart.

"If you feel tired, you can take a rest." There was concern in Lu Ming's voice, but Su Wan felt that this concern was a bit stiff.

"I'm just a little tired, not because of you." Su Wan answered softly, but she kept reflecting in her heart whether she was too emotional.

During lunch, the two found a beautiful place, but after sitting down, they still felt a sense of distance. Su Wan ate the sandwich in the lunch box while thinking about how to break the deadlock.

"I think we need to talk." Lu Ming finally broke the silence, his tone serious.

"What to talk about?" Su Wan pretended to be indifferent, but she was a little expectant in her heart.

"Regarding communication between us." Lu Ming took a deep breath, his eyes firm. "I realize that we have different opinions on some things, but that doesn't mean our relationship should be affected."

Su Wan's heart was shaken. Lu Ming's words touched her. She knew that although the previous dispute was a small matter, it exposed their differences in certain aspects.

"I also think we need to communicate better." Su Wan said softly, her eyes gradually softening. "I am sometimes emotional, which may make you feel that I don't understand your intentions."

"I hope we can respect each other and listen to each other's ideas." Lu Ming's tone softened. "I'm not trying to force you to accept my choice. I just want to make our trip smoother."

"I understand." Su Wan nodded, a warm feeling welling up in her heart. "I also hope you can respect my choice. We can try to find a balance."

The atmosphere between the two gradually eased at this moment, and the inner barriers slowly dissipated. Su Wan realized that communication was the key to solving the problem, and that momentary emotions did make it difficult for them to let go.

"We can try to work out a plan and compromise with each other during the trip." Lu Ming suggested, with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

"Good idea! We can first list the places we each want to go, and then discuss it." Su Wan's voice was full of anticipation, and her passion for traveling was rekindled in her heart.

"Then let's try to choose an activity each for the rest of the trip." Lu Ming said with a smile, a warm light in his eyes.

"Then it's decided!" Su Wan finally smiled and felt a little relieved in her heart.

During the rest of their journey, Su Wan and Lu Ming gradually developed a tacit understanding through their communication. They began to carefully discuss each day's itinerary, respecting each other's choices and striving to maintain a balance. Amidst the beautiful natural scenery, their relationship blossomed through friction and interaction.

In the evening, they strolled along the lake, the afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the water, forming a beautiful picture. The two walked side by side, and the barriers in their hearts gradually dissipated during this trip.

"I'm glad we can communicate well." Su Wan said softly with a warm smile on her face.

"Me too. Traveling is not only about enjoying the scenery, but also about understanding and tolerance for each other." Lu Ming's eyes were firm and his heart was full of expectations for the future.

As night falls and the starry sky shines, Su Wan and Lu Ming sit by the lake, sharing their dreams and aspirations. Through persistence and communication, their relationship grows closer, and their understanding of each other deepens.

"The road ahead is still long, and we will face every challenge together." Lu Ming said with a smile, a warm light in his eyes.

"Yes, I believe we can go further together." Su Wan responded, her heart full of expectations for the future.

During this trip, Su Wan and Lu Ming not only enjoyed the beauty of nature, but also deepened their relationship through arguments and communication. They realized that understanding and respect are the most important things in getting along, and only through sincere communication can they face every challenge together.
