The President's Tender Trap
Chapter 249 An unexpected reunion
As the client meeting officially began, the conference room was filled with anticipation. Su Wan stood aside, feeling both excited and nervous. She tried to remain calm, mentally reminding herself to be confident and showcase every detail of her new product design.
Zhou Qiang delivered a welcome speech in a resonant and powerful voice, outlining the company's vision and goals and emphasizing its long-standing partnerships with clients. Su Wan listened intently, trying to draw strength and confidence from Zhou Qiang's speech. Just then, her gaze strayed to the back of the conference room and paused.
"Wang Cong?" She was startled, almost unable to believe her eyes. Sitting in the back row was none other than her college classmate—Wang Cong! This old friend, who had studied late into the night and participated in club activities together, was now here as a client. A warm feeling welled up in Su Wan's heart, yet it was followed by a complex mix of emotions.
"How could it be him?" Su Wan pondered, feeling a little nervous. Wang Cong had been a very outstanding classmate in college, with excellent academic performance and a cheerful personality, a man of great repute in the eyes of many of his classmates. Although they had been close in college, they had lost touch since graduation. Unexpectedly, they met again on such an occasion.
With Zhou Qiang's speech concluded, the formal meeting began. Lu Ming took the stage for a product demonstration. His performance was as smooth as expected, detailing the new product's features. Throughout this demonstration, Su Wan's attention was constantly drawn to Wang Cong. She secretly observed him and noticed that after listening to Lu Ming's presentation, Wang Cong's lips curled slightly, indicating a keen interest in the product.
"Should I go say hello?" Su Wan hesitated, wanting to reunite with Wang Cong but also worried about appearing unprofessional in front of him. Her heartbeat quickened as her thoughts raced, and memories of the time she had spent with Wang Cong surfaced in her mind.
"Su Wan, it's your turn to present next." Li Jing reminded her softly, interrupting her thoughts.
"Oh, okay." Su Wan forced herself to focus back on the presentation, silently praying to herself to stay calm. She walked forward, slightly adjusted the microphone, and began to introduce her design concept.
"Hello everyone, I'm Su Wan, responsible for new product design." She began with a calm voice, trying to sound confident. "Today I want to share with you the design philosophy of our products and how they meet customer needs."
As the presentation progressed, Su Wan gradually gained momentum, her voice growing more confident. With each design sketch, her passion for the product surged. She detailed her approach to user experience and emphasized how the product would be continuously improved based on customer feedback.
Yet, despite her efforts to appear presentable, she kept glancing at Wang Cong from the corner of her eye. She noticed he was always listening attentively, occasionally chatting with his colleagues, his expression relaxed and cheerful. She breathed a sigh of relief, as if Wang Cong's reaction had given her a sense of reassurance.
After the presentation, Su Wan breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a sense of accomplishment. She smiled slightly, and as she walked off the stage, her eyes involuntarily searched for Wang Cong.
"Su Wan, that's great! Your design concept is very creative!" Li Jing gave her positive feedback.
"Thank you!" Su Wan responded, but her eyes were still looking for Wang Cong.
Finally, as everyone applauded and celebrated, Su Wan mustered up the courage and walked towards Wang Cong. After a while of hesitation, she decided not to let her nervousness control her. After all, they used to be good friends.
"Wang Cong!" She greeted him with a smile, but she felt a little nervous.
Wang Cong turned around and saw Su Wan, with a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Su Wan! I didn't expect to see you here!" He responded with a smile, his voice full of intimacy.
"Yes, time flies so fast. We have all grown up." Su Wan felt a warm feeling and the tension in her heart dissipated.
"How are you doing at work here? I heard that the new product you designed is very promising." Wang Cong asked with concern, with admiration in his eyes.
"Thank you! I really like this project, and the team atmosphere is great." Su Wan smiled slightly, secretly relieved. She was extremely happy to be able to communicate with Wang Cong again.
"I came to this meeting because I'm interested in your new product," Wang Cong continued, his tone full of anticipation. "I'm very interested in your design concept, especially the personalized features you mentioned."
"Thank you! I am also looking forward to hearing your feedback." Su Wan felt relieved and honored to be able to share her design with Wang Cong.
At this point, another part of the meeting began: an interactive discussion between the customer and the team. Wang Cong also participated, actively raising questions and suggestions about the new product. His speech, with its clear logic and unique perspectives, livened up the atmosphere.
"Wang Cong is really an amazing person." Su Wan sighed in her heart, thinking back to the time when she studied with him. He was always able to infect the people around him with his humor and wisdom.
After the discussion, Wang Cong and Su Wan reconnected, reminiscing about their college days, their lives, and their work, as if time hadn't separated them. Su Wan felt grateful for the moment of reunion, feeling incredibly warm and like their old friendship had been renewed.
"I hope we can have the opportunity to work together in the future." Wang Cong said, with anticipation glittering in his eyes.
"Of course! I'm looking forward to it." Su Wan responded, her heart full of longing for future cooperation.
As the meeting ended and the clients began to leave one by one, Su Wan and Wang Cong continued to chat, discussing the design and market prospects. The surrounding noise gradually faded away, as if they were the only two people left.
"If there is a chance, we can have coffee together and talk about future cooperation." Wang Cong suggested, with anticipation in his eyes.
"Okay, I'm looking forward to it!" Su Wan accepted with joy. She felt that this unexpected reunion not only allowed her to find an old friend, but also brought new possibilities for her future work.
With Wang Cong's departure, Su Wan's heart was filled with hope. She understood that the reunion was not only a remembrance of the past, but also an anticipation for the future. Future collaboration would be a new beginning, and this meeting became a key milestone in her career.
Su Wan gazed at the sunshine outside the conference room, her heart filled with confidence for the future. After this reunion, she resolved to work even harder, both for herself and her team. She hoped to create better products and take on more challenges. She believed that with perseverance, the future would be even brighter.
