The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 2 Work Report

In the brightly lit conference room of the company, Su Wan was preparing to give her work report. She mentally encouraged herself, "Today, I must show everyone the brilliance of this 'workplace goddess'!" She adjusted her clothes, took a deep breath, and prepared to turn this meeting into her own personal show.

The meeting began. Lu Ming sat at a corner of the conference table, his brow furrowed, his face expressionless. He was known for his cold demeanor, and it seemed as if the temperature in the entire conference room had dropped several degrees with his presence. He repeatedly examined the documents in his hands, occasionally glancing up at Su Wan on the stage, wondering, "How will she perform this time?"

Su Wan stood in front of the projector, a confident smile on her face. She cleared her throat and began her presentation. "Hello everyone, I'm Su Wan. Today I'll be introducing our new product marketing plan."

"Look, this is the style of a workplace goddess!" She thought proudly in her heart. As she introduced herself, Su Wan's tone became higher and higher, and her body language became richer, as if she was performing a wonderful drama.

"According to our market research, consumers have a very strong demand for this product, especially in..." She spoke in a clear and fluent manner, as if the whole world was under her control.

Lu Ming listened attentively, secretly admiring her. "This girl is quite good. Her speech is very logical, and her data is very well prepared." But his face remained as cold as ice, showing no emotion, as if to say, "I don't care about you."

"This is the legendary indifference of men. Even giving praise requires courage!" Su Wan sighed in her heart. Although she was a little discouraged, she did not intend to give up.

"Next, I'd like to present our market analysis." Su Wan confidently switched to the next slide. The screen displayed a variety of colorful charts, like a beautiful work of art.

"As you can see, this chart shows the target consumers' age distribution and purchasing intentions." She pointed at the chart and continued her explanation fluently. Lu Ming stared at her with his sharp eyes, as if trying to find loopholes in her report.

"I find your analysis interesting, but I think the conclusion here seems a bit hasty." Lu Ming suddenly spoke, interrupting Su Wan's report.

"Rash?!" Su Wan was stunned, and a fire ignited in her heart, "I spent a lot of time preparing this report!"

"I just think that you need more detailed data to support your conclusion." Lu Ming had a blank expression on his face, but his tone carried a hint of unquestionable authority.

"Huh, you talk as if you know everything!" Su Wan thought to herself, but on the surface she tried to keep a smile, "Of course, I'll add some more data."

"I knew this guy would find trouble." She complained in her heart, but still pretended to be calm and continued to report.

"Okay, let's look at our competitor's analysis next." She switched slides, silently praying, "Don't get interrupted again this time!"

However, Lu Ming's eyes remained as sharp as an eagle's, not missing a single detail. He listened attentively, nodding occasionally as if pondering something. Su Wan wondered, "Is he really paying attention to me?"

"The structure of this report is good, but I think you can go a little deeper in the competitor analysis." Lu Ming spoke again, with a hint of guidance in his tone.

"Well, it seems that my report needs further improvement." Although Su Wan was a little dissatisfied in her heart, she had to admit that what he said made sense.

After the report, applause erupted in the conference room. Su Wan was slightly stunned, her heart filled with pride. "It seems my image as a 'workplace goddess' has finally been recognized!"

Lu Ming also clapped silently. Although his face remained expressionless, he felt a certain appreciation for Su Wan's performance. He thought to himself, "Although this girl has a sharp tongue, her abilities should not be underestimated."

After the meeting, Su Wan packed up her materials, feeling secretly pleased with herself. Although the process had been somewhat bumpy, she felt she had finally made a mark on Lu Ming.

"Su Wan, you did a good job today!" Lin Xiaoyu walked over and patted her shoulder with a smile.

"Really?" Su Wan was surprised and thought to herself, "It seems I still have some charm!"

"Of course, you're just as impressive in front of Lu Ming!" Lin Xiaoyu teased. "But Lu Ming's indifference is really tiring!"

"Yeah, he's just like an iceberg!" Su Wan shook her head helplessly, but secretly thought in her heart: "He's not that scary...right?"

"Keep working hard next time and try to conquer him!" Lin Xiaoyu encouraged, with a hint of mischief in her eyes.

"Conquer? I don't want to be his captive!" Su Wan couldn't help laughing, but secretly decided in her heart: "I must let him see my ability and not let him underestimate me!"

A few days later, Su Wan was called to a meeting again. She felt a little uneasy and wondered, "Will I be hit by the 'iceberg' again this time?"

However, Lu Ming actually paid more attention to her report at the meeting, made some suggestions from time to time, and even began to discuss issues with her.

"It seems like he has changed his mind about me." Su Wan was secretly delighted, thinking to herself, "Maybe I can really establish some kind of tacit understanding with this cold-blooded CEO!"

As time went by, Su Wan gradually discovered that although Lu Ming appeared cold on the outside, he was actually a man with ideals and aspirations. He was meticulous in his work and pursued perfection, and this attitude also made Su Wan admire him a little.

"Maybe I can try to understand him." Su Wan thought to herself, and decided not to simply regard him as a cold and aloof president, but as a partner worthy of cooperation.

In the days that followed, their working relationship gradually improved. Although there were still arguments, there was more understanding and support for each other. Su Wan also discovered that behind Lu Ming's indifference, there was an interesting and charming man.

"It seems that this job not only changed my career, but also allowed me to meet an interesting person." Su Wan smiled gently, her heart full of expectations. Every day in the future is full of infinite possibilities.

Su Wan sat at her desk, thinking to herself, "This person is really unreasonable. Could he be an alien?" As she flipped through the documents, she silently glanced at Lu Ming, the legendary cold-blooded and domineering president, who was sitting opposite her.

Since joining the company, Su Wan has been told countless secrets about Lu Ming by her colleagues—he's a workaholic, obsessed with precision, and demanding perfection in everything. His attitude toward work is especially cold, so cold that even his conversations are like talking to ice. Think about it, who wouldn't be prejudiced against such a person?
