The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 116 Uncle Li’s Support

The hospital corridors were filled with the smell of disinfectant, and the white walls seemed cold. Uncle Li lay in bed. After a period of treatment, his condition had improved slightly, but his mental worries were becoming more apparent. The recent tensions between Su Wan and Lu Ming had left him feeling uneasy. He knew that if the rift in their relationship wasn't mended, it could affect their future together.

Uncle Li tossed and turned in his hospital bed, pondering how he could help the young couple. As their elder, he understood the preciousness and fragility of love. Having experienced his own emotional ups and downs in his youth, he understood the importance of communication and understanding. Uncle Li decided to step out of silence and offer guidance and advice.

One afternoon, Su Wan returned to the hospital, a trace of fatigue on her face. She sat beside Uncle Li's bed, holding his hand, her heart filled with guilt. "Uncle Li, are you feeling okay?" she asked with concern.

Uncle Li smiled slightly, feeling a warm feeling in his heart. "Much better now, thank you, child." He knew that Su Wan was trying hard to take care of herself, but he also noticed that she was worried.

"I noticed that you've been a little upset lately. Is it related to Lu Ming?" Uncle Li went straight to the point, his eyes full of concern.

Su Wan was stunned for a moment, then lowered her head, a hint of helplessness flashing in her eyes. "Yes, Uncle Li, there are some misunderstandings between us, and the communication is not very good."

"Misunderstandings are common in relationships," Uncle Li said in a gentle, wise tone. "You young people always cause misunderstandings because you're unwilling to express your feelings. In fact, being honest is the best way to resolve problems."

"But I don't know how to communicate with him." Su Wan's voice was low, her heart filled with helplessness and anxiety.

"You have to believe that communication is the key to solving all problems," Uncle Li said firmly. "If neither of you is willing to open your hearts, misunderstandings will continue to deepen, and may eventually lead to an irreversible situation."

Su Wan fell silent, and began to reflect on the problems between herself and Lu Ming. Uncle Li's words were like a bright light, illuminating the fog in her heart.

"I will try my best to communicate with Lu Ming." She finally made up her mind, with a hint of determination in her eyes.

Uncle Li nodded slightly and looked at her with satisfaction. He knew that Amelia Su had realized the seriousness of the problem, which was a positive change.

Meanwhile, Lu Ming also arrived at the hospital and was relieved to see that Uncle Li's condition had improved. However, when he entered the ward and saw Su Wan sitting by the bed, a complex emotion flashed through his heart. The rift between the two seemed to be rekindled at this moment.

"Lu Ming, you're here." Uncle Li's voice broke the silence, and he looked at him warmly.

"Uncle Li, are you feeling better?" Lu Ming forced himself to be alert and tried to look relaxed.

"Thank you. You young people, please come and chat with me more often when you have time." Uncle Li's eyes wandered between Su Wan and Lu Ming, noticing the tense atmosphere between them.

"I just talked to Su Wan about something today." Uncle Li continued, "I hope you can be honest with each other and understand each other's difficulties."

Lu Ming was slightly startled, feeling uneasy. He knew Uncle Li must have noticed something, but he didn't know how to respond.

"I...I'll try my best," Lu Ming finally spoke, his voice a little low. His eyes revealed a hint of helplessness and anxiety. He understood the importance of communication, but he didn't know how to break down this invisible barrier.

Uncle Li looked at their reactions and sighed inwardly. He decided to share some of his own experiences to inspire them.

"When I was young, I also went through a turbulent relationship," Uncle Li said slowly, his eyes flickering with memories. "There were misunderstandings between my lover and me. I always thought she was hiding something from me, and she chose to remain silent because of my doubts."

"Later, the trust between us became fragile, and communication became increasingly difficult. Until one day, I realized that only by bravely expressing my feelings could we truly understand each other." Uncle Li's voice was full of emotion. "I had an in-depth discussion with her, and I realized that most misunderstandings actually arise from a lack of communication."

Lu Ming and Su Wan listened quietly, a warm feeling welling up in their hearts. Uncle Li's story resonated with them and made them realize that the importance of communication far exceeded their imagination.

"Trust and understanding are crucial in a relationship," Uncle Li continued. "If you can't be honest with each other, the gap between you will only grow deeper. True love is built on trust and understanding, not suspicion and misunderstanding."

"I understand, Uncle Li." Su Wan's voice was much firmer. "I will try my best to communicate with Lu Ming and make him understand the pressure I'm facing."

"I will also try my best to understand her difficulties." There was a hint of determination in Lu Ming's voice. He knew that only through frank communication could the relationship between them be repaired.

"That's what I want to see." Uncle Li smiled with relief, his eyes gleaming with hope. He knew that as long as the two of them were willing to work hard, the road ahead would be brighter.

In the following days, Uncle Li's condition gradually improved, and Su Wan and Lu Ming began to try to communicate more. Whenever Su Wan went to the hospital to take care of Uncle Li, Lu Ming would always be by her side, giving her support and understanding.

During one of his visits to Uncle Li, Lu Ming offered, "Su Wan, we can take care of Uncle Li together, so you can relieve some of the pressure."

Su Wan raised her head, a look of emotion in her eyes. "Thank you, Lu Ming. I really need your support."

"We are partners and should face it together." Lu Ming's tone was gentle and his eyes were firm.

Through these interactions, Su Wan and Lu Ming's relationship gradually regained its warmth. As they shared their feelings, their hearts slowly grew closer. Their mutual trust and understanding deepened, and their relationship was sublimated through communication.

Uncle Li witnessed all this from his hospital bed, feeling deeply gratified. He knew his advice and support had helped the young couple mend their relationship. He also understood that as an elder, his only role was to offer guidance and support at this crucial moment.

"As long as you have love in your hearts and are willing to understand each other, the road ahead will become wider and wider." Uncle Li silently blessed them in his heart.

As time passes, Uncle Li's recovery makes Su Wan and Lu Ming cherish each other even more. They understand that only with trust and understanding can they face the challenges of the future together. Uncle Li's support and encouragement become an indispensable bond in their relationship.

On a warm afternoon, Uncle Li was discharged from the hospital. Su Wan and Lu Ming stayed by his side, their hearts filled with gratitude and happiness. They smiled at each other, knowing that their future life would be full of hope and possibility.

"Thank you, Uncle Li. Without your support, we might not be able to get out of that dark period." Su Wan said gratefully, with tears of emotion in her eyes.

"This is what I should do as an elder," Uncle Li replied with a smile, his eyes gleaming with kindness and wisdom. "As long as you continue to support and trust each other, your future life will surely be even better."

With Uncle Li's support, Su Wan and Lu Ming's relationship blossomed like a spring flower. They learned to communicate honestly, to understand each other, and to move forward together into the future.
