The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 107 Exploring the Future of Weddings

Sunlight streamed through the windows of the hospital corridor, casting a warm glow. Su Wan and Lu Ming sat on a bench. Despite the lingering smell of disinfectant, they felt a long-lost sense of peace. Uncle Li had been discharged. Although he still needed to recover, he seemed cheerful and relaxed.

"Su Wan, we should talk about the wedding now." Lu Ming tilted his head slightly, a hint of seriousness in his eyes. He knew that after the recent twists and turns, many of their thoughts and feelings needed to be sorted out and expressed.

"Yeah, I've been thinking about that too." Su Wan nodded, a wave of mixed emotions welling up in her heart. The wedding was something she had always dreamed of, but at this moment, she felt an invisible pressure, as if all this was hinting at something.

"Do you think we should still go ahead with the wedding as planned?" Lu Ming asked cautiously, with a hint of concern in his tone.

"I hope to have the wedding as soon as possible. After all, this is what we've been looking forward to," Su Wan said with a firm look in her eyes. "Also, I think this is also a respect for Uncle Li. He has always wanted me to be happy, and I don't want to make him worry."

Lu Ming's brow furrowed slightly, clearly troubled by the question. "But, with so much going on lately, Uncle Li's health is paramount. I'm worried that rushing the wedding might stress you out."

"I understand what you mean." Su Wan's voice was soft but firm. "But I want Uncle Li to see our happiness. He must want me to get married as soon as possible. That way he can feel at ease."

Lu Ming was silent for a moment, his mind racing. He understood Su Wan's feelings, but he was also concerned about her emotions and mental endurance. "Su Wan, a wedding is a major event in life. We shouldn't make a decision on impulse. We can reconsider it and wait until Uncle Li fully recovers before proceeding."

"But I'm afraid it will take too long." A hint of anxiety was revealed in Su Wan's voice. "I don't want Uncle Li to wait too long. He has already paid too much for me."

"I know what you are worried about, but we also have to consider the preparation time for the wedding and our own conditions." Lu Ming said softly, trying to make Su Wan understand his point of view.

"I understand your concerns, but I really hope that this ceremony can be completed as soon as possible." Su Wan's voice was filled with pleading. "This is not only for me, but also for Uncle Li. He wants to see me happy, and I want him to feel this happiness even in his illness."

Lu Ming felt a pang of pain in his heart. Su Wan's insistence made him feel helpless. He knew her emotions were deep, but he didn't want her to be under too much pressure at this critical moment. "If you really want to do this, I will support you. But I hope you can think it over carefully."

"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan smiled slightly. Although she still felt a little uneasy, she felt Lu Ming's understanding and support. The feelings between the two of them grew stronger at this moment, as if they had found each other's support in the face of pressure.

"We can go look at wedding venues together and make some plans," Lu Ming suggested, hoping to ease Su Wan's anxiety through practical preparations.

"Good idea!" Su Wan's eyes sparkled, and hope gradually ignited in her heart. "We can choose the wedding dress and invitations together. This will make me feel more at ease."

"Then it's settled." Lu Ming nodded, secretly relieved. He knew that Su Wan needed a positive outlook, and he was willing to accompany her on this journey.

As time went on, Su Wan and Lu Ming began their intensive wedding preparations. Together, they chose wedding dresses, designed invitations, selected a venue, and even prepared little surprises for the guests. Whenever they worked together, Su Wan's face was always filled with a happy smile, and Lu Ming also felt a sense of warmth and joy in these interactions.

"I'm really looking forward to our wedding." Su Wan said to Lu Ming excitedly, with happiness shining in her eyes, while trying on a wedding dress.

"Me too. When I see you wearing a wedding dress, I will be moved to tears." Lu Ming said with a smile. Although he was still a little worried, Su Wan's smile in front of him made him feel that everything was worth it.

"I will make this day special. Uncle Li will be there to see our happiness." Su Wan's voice was firm, and her expectations for the future became stronger.

Yet, even as they were busy, Su Wan couldn't stop feeling the torment she secretly harbored. Although Uncle Li's condition had improved, she still couldn't reveal her inner secret to Lu Ming. Whenever she saw Lu Ming's concerned gaze, she felt a surge of guilt and conflict.

"How should I face him?" Su Wan pondered over and over again in her heart. Although she tried to immerse herself in the preparations for the wedding, the secret was like a thorn that always pierced her heart.

The days flew by in a flurry of activity and anticipation, and the wedding day drew near. Su Wan and Lu Ming's relationship blossomed under pressure, their mutual understanding and support bringing them closer. However, the burden on Su Wan's heart grew heavier. Whenever she thought about the impending wedding, her inner struggle became more pronounced.

"Should I tell him?" Su Wan asked herself, a thousand questions swirling around in her mind. She wanted to share the joy of the wedding with Lu Ming, but she was also afraid that revealing the secret would affect their relationship.

Finally, one night before the wedding, Su Wan and Lu Ming sat on the balcony. The stars twinkled in the night sky, and the breeze blew gently, as if the air was filled with the scent of happiness. Lu Ming gently held Su Wan's hand, his eyes revealing warmth and determination.

"Su Wan, no matter what happens in the future, I will be by your side." Lu Ming's voice was low and gentle, making Su Wan feel a sense of security.

"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan smiled slightly, feeling a warmth in her heart. But then, a wave of complicated emotions surged in her heart.

"We are about to get married, and I hope to share everything with you on that day." Lu Ming's eyes flashed with anticipation, as if he was waiting for Su Wan's response.

"Me too." Su Wan's voice trembled slightly, but she was secretly struggling in her heart. She knew that she had to make a choice at this critical moment and face the secret deep in her heart.

"Su Wan, do you have anything to say to me?" Lu Ming seemed to notice her emotions and asked gently.

"I... I just hope to share everything about me with you." Su Wan's voice dropped, and a sense of unease welled up in her heart. She knew that she had to face this happiness bravely.

"No matter what happens, I will understand you." Lu Ming's eyes were full of concern, as if he could see through her inner struggle.

"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan felt touched, tears welling up in her eyes. She knew she had to find the courage in this relationship and face the upcoming wedding bravely.

As their wedding day approaches, Su Wan and Lu Ming's relationship grows stronger. Despite the torment of a secret, she understands she must be brave and protect her precious love at this special moment. No matter how difficult the future holds, she is willing to walk through it with Lu Ming and embrace their shared happiness.
