The President's Tender Trap

Chapter 105 Secret Considerations

In the hospital corridor, Su Wan's emotions were like surging waves, unable to calm down. Although Uncle Li had regained consciousness and everyone's mood had eased somewhat, she was still troubled by a secret deep in her heart. This secret was like a huge rock, weighing her down and making her feel breathless, torn between joy and pain.

"Should I really tell Lu Ming?" Su Wan kept asking herself. She knew Uncle Li's health was inextricably linked to the secrets he'd been hiding. She recalled Uncle Li's words, which lingered in her ears: "Su Wan, there are some things you don't need to tell others. Protecting your family's secrets is a sign of love for them."

Whenever Su Wan thought of these words, she felt a pang of pain in her heart. She deeply understood Uncle Li's intentions; he wanted her to protect her family and maintain their harmony. However, facing the upcoming wedding, Su Wan didn't know if she could continue to keep this secret. She didn't want Lu Ming to think she was hiding something, but she was also afraid of the chain reaction that might be triggered if she told him this secret.

"If I tell him, Uncle Li might be hurt, but if I don't, he'll also suffer unintentionally." Su Wan made a complex balance in her mind. She thought of Lu Ming's care and consideration, and her heart was filled with guilt and conflict. She loved him, but she was afraid that her secret would become a barrier between them.

"Su Wan, are you okay?" Just as she was lost in thought, Lu Ming's voice brought her back to reality. She raised her head and saw Lu Ming's concerned eyes, and her heart warmed.

"I'm fine, just a little tired." Su Wan forced a smile, trying to hide her inner turmoil. Even so, her emotions could not be concealed, and Lu Ming's eyes showed a hint of worry.

"You look worried. Are you thinking about Uncle Li?" Lu Ming asked gently, as if he could see through her inner struggle.

Su Wan's heart tightened, and she wanted to deny it, but ultimately she chose silence. She didn't know how to express her inner conflict and struggle, and even less how to face Lu Ming. She was afraid that this would make him suspicious of her, or even more worried about Uncle Li's condition.

"If you need my help, feel free to tell me." Lu Ming said gently, his eyes full of concern and encouragement.

This concern touched Su Wan's heart, but it also made her even more miserable. She knew that if she chose to hide it, Lu Ming would never understand her difficulties. And if she chose to be honest, it might destroy the trust between them.

"What should I do?" Su Wan asked herself, feeling increasingly helpless. She looked out the window, the sunlight filtering through the glass onto her face, but her heart was filled with gloom. She hoped to find a solution that would allow her to protect Uncle Li without harming Lu Ming.

"Su Wan, what are you thinking about?" Lu Ming's voice sounded again, interrupting her thoughts.

"It's nothing, I just hope Uncle Li can get better soon." She answered softly, but she couldn't let it go in her heart.

"I believe he will." Lu Ming said firmly, his eyes showing trust and support.

However, Su Wan couldn't let it go. She knew that this secret was like a thorn in her heart, always piercing her heart and making her feel uneasy. She didn't know how to face the upcoming wedding, how to face Lu Ming, and how to face Uncle Li.

"Should I tell him..." She kept struggling in her mind, unable to find the answer.

As time passed, the atmosphere at the hospital gradually relaxed, and Uncle Li's condition steadily improved. However, Su Wan's secret weighed heavily on her, making it difficult for her to concentrate. Whenever she saw Lu Ming's concerned eyes, she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. She wanted to tell him her feelings, but she dreaded the moment.

"Maybe I should find the right time and tell him slowly." This thought flashed through her mind, but she rejected it immediately. She didn't know how to start, how to tell this secret.

Finally, one evening, Su Wan and Lu Ming were drinking coffee in the hospital cafe. The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm and gentle light on them. Lu Ming chatted casually about the trivialities of life, trying to ease Su Wan's mind. But Su Wan's heart was in turmoil, unable to calm down.

"Su Wan, are you really okay?" Lu Ming asked again with concern, with a gentle light in his eyes.

"I...I'm just a little worried about Uncle Li's recovery." Su Wan lowered her head, feeling bitter again. She knew she was lying, but she could do nothing about it.

"You know, Uncle Li has always been a strong man. He will definitely get better." Lu Ming comforted, his voice full of encouragement.

Su Wan raised her head and forced a smile. But it couldn't hide the struggle within her. She knew the secret she had been hiding was like an invisible crack, slowly tearing at the trust between them.

"If you need my help in any way, please feel free to tell me." Lu Ming's eyes showed determination. His concern made Su Wan feel warm, but at the same time it also made her feel pressured.

"I will, thank you, Lu Ming." Although Su Wan answered, she felt more and more helpless in her heart. She knew that she had to make a choice and face this secret.

As the days passed, Uncle Li gradually recovered, but Su Wan's secret grew heavier. Every time she spent time with Lu Ming, she struggled internally, wanting to tell him the secret, yet dreading the moment. She knew she couldn't keep it a secret any longer, but she didn't know where to begin.

"Should I tell him?" This question kept echoing in her mind, making her unable to find peace. Finally, one night, Su Wan decided that perhaps she should find a suitable time to be honest with Lu Ming.

"I will tell him, even if it means I lose him." Su Wan secretly swore in her heart. Although the future is unknown, she knows that only by being honest with herself can she find true relief.

Guided by this resolve, Su Wan gradually calmed down. She understood that facing a secret conflict, only by facing it bravely could she find a solution. Regardless of the outcome, she was willing to shoulder this responsibility and protect what was most precious to her.
