The President's Tender Trap
Chapter 103 On the way to the hospital
"I know, but I'm really worried." Su Wan looked up at Lu Ming, tears welling in her eyes. She couldn't imagine what life would be like without Uncle Li, the man who had always been by her side, supporting and caring for her, now lying on a stretcher.
The emergency personnel quickly examined Uncle Li and performed some emergency treatment on the scene. Su Wan and Lu Ming followed closely behind, their hearts filled with anxiety, watching Uncle Li being taken to the ambulance.
"Please let us go to the hospital with you!" Su Wan said anxiously to the emergency doctor.
"Okay, please get in." The emergency doctor nodded without hesitation. Su Wan and Lu Ming quickly climbed onto the ambulance, their hearts filled with anxiety.
The car door closed, and the ambulance sped away on the city streets. The sirens pierced the quiet morning. Su Wan sat next to Uncle Li, her eyes fixed on his face, afraid to miss any subtle changes.
"Uncle Li, you must be strong." Su Wan called softly, praying in her heart.
Lu Ming sat nearby. Although he was also filled with worry, he tried to remain calm and offered Su Wan more support. "Su Wan, we can recall the happy times we had with Uncle Li. Perhaps that will help us relax a little," he suggested.
"Okay." Su Wan nodded, trying to calm herself down. As the ambulance bumped along, her mood gradually calmed down.
"Do you remember? One time we went on an outing together, and Uncle Li brought a lot of delicious food." Lu Ming smiled slightly, trying to evoke Su Wan's good memories.
"Of course I remember! He also told us many interesting stories." Su Wan's mouth corners unconsciously curled up into a smile, and her heart felt a little warmer.
"Yes, and he also taught us how to fish, but I ended up catching a huge fish." Lu Ming's laughter was warm and relaxed, as if those beautiful memories could dispel the gloom at the moment.
"Yeah, Uncle Li was as happy as a child at that time, haha!" Su Wan said, and couldn't help laughing, and the anxiety in her heart was slightly relieved. She knew that Uncle Li would definitely want to see them happy.
"Another time, he took us to a family gathering, and we were dragged by everyone to perform a show. It was so embarrassing." Lu Ming's eyes flashed with a smile, as if he was reminiscing about that wonderful time.
"Yes! I was so nervous that I couldn't speak, but Uncle Li kept encouraging me." Warm memories welled up in Su Wan's heart, and those happy times seemed to be right in front of her.
As the two of them reminisced about their experiences with Uncle Li, the atmosphere in the ambulance gradually grew more relaxed. Although Uncle Li was still lying on the stretcher, Su Wan felt a sense of warmth. She understood that Uncle Li's care and support for them were always there.
"We must let Uncle Li see our happy side." Lu Ming said with a determined look in his eyes.
"Yes, I will try my best." Su Wan nodded and secretly vowed in her heart to turn all this into motivation to move forward.
The ambulance arrived quickly, and the medical staff quickly carried Uncle Li out. Su Wan and Lu Ming followed closely, feeling a surge of unease. The hospital corridor, with its white walls and cold atmosphere, made her feel suffocated, as if all the beauty had been swallowed up in that moment.
"Please wait here." The medical staff took Su Wan and Lu Ming to a waiting area and then quickly entered the emergency room. Su Wan's heart was filled with anxiety, and her eyes flickered with uneasiness.
"What can we do?" Her voice trembled slightly and her face was full of anxiety.
"We have to trust the doctor." Lu Ming held her hand and comforted her. Although he was also filled with anxiety, he knew that at this moment, staying calm was the most important thing.
Time passed slowly in the anxious waiting. Su Wan's heart was filled with worry, and her mind kept thinking about Uncle Li. She felt an unprecedented vulnerability, as if she had lost the most important support in her life.
"Uncle Li will be fine." Lu Ming's voice was still warm, trying to make Su Wan maintain confidence.
"I hope so," Su Wan replied softly, but her heart was still restless. She recalled the moments she had spent with Uncle Li, and her heart was filled with gratitude and guilt.
"No matter what happens, we will face it together." Lu Ming's eyes were firm, conveying silent support.
Amidst this tense atmosphere, Su Wan felt a strong connection. Although Uncle Li's illness weighed heavily on her, the bond between her and Lu Ming grew stronger at this moment. Their mutual support and care gave her a sense of security amidst her helplessness.
Finally, the door to the emergency room opened and the doctor came out with a serious expression. Su Wan's heart instantly rose to her throat, and she was so nervous that she could hardly breathe.
"The patient's condition is stable, but still requires further observation. Please wait here." The doctor's voice was calm and professional, as if trying to convey comfort.
"Thank you, doctor!" Su Wan responded almost subconsciously, secretly relieved. Although Uncle Li's condition was still unclear, at least he was safe for the time being.
"Can we go see him?" Su Wan asked impatiently, hoping to see Uncle Li as soon as possible.
"Not right now. The patient needs to rest. We'll arrange a meeting for you later," the doctor said, his tone full of concern.
"Okay, we'll wait." Su Wan nodded, but still felt uneasy.
She and Lu Ming sat quietly in the waiting area, holding each other's hands tightly, as if this moment of silence could soothe the panic in their hearts. Time seemed particularly long at this moment, and Su Wan's heart was filled with worry for Uncle Li.
"No matter what happens, I will be by your side." Lu Ming's voice was gentle and firm, as if it could dispel the haze in her heart.
"Thank you, Lu Ming." Su Wan looked up at him, her eyes gleaming with gratitude. Even in such a tense moment, she still felt a sense of warmth and strength.
In the hospital corridor, relatives and friends arrived one after another to inquire about Uncle Li's condition. Su Wan and Lu Ming told everyone what had happened. Although everyone was filled with anxiety, she felt a sense of comfort in each other's company.
"We must believe in Uncle Li. He has always been a strong man." Lin Xiaoyu comforted, with concern in her eyes.
"Yes, he will be fine." Su Wan tried hard to force a smile and prayed silently in her heart.
Time seemed to freeze, and Su Wan's heart was filled with anxiety and anticipation. She knew that Uncle Li's health was the most important thing at the moment, and the relationship between her and Lu Ming was also tested at this moment.
"No matter what happens next, I will face it with you." Lu Ming said softly, with a determined light in his eyes.
