Chapter 83: Married or Not

"Awake?" Mo Liujin had been feeling unreal all day until he saw Chu Qingmeng wake up and finally felt the reality of being grounded.

"Hmm." Chu Qingmeng murmured weakly, but he was still too lazy to move. "I'm so tired. But it's great to see you again."

"I thought I would never see you again in this life." Mo Liujin pulled her to his chest and held her close. Chu Qingmeng was like a kitten, lying on his chest, looking at him with a smile. She reached out and touched his eyebrows and said, "My Ah Jin, do you have a wife or concubine?"

Mo Liujin slapped Chu Qingmeng on the butt and said in feigned anger, "What? What if I have a wife or concubine? What if I don't have a wife or concubine?"

Chu Qingmeng glared at him and said calmly, "If you already have a wife or concubine, then take your wives and concubines and get out of my An Ning County Princess's Mansion! If you don't leave, then I will leave."

Mo Liujin clenched his hands and turned over to pin her down, angrily saying, "Leave?! Where are you going?! I won't let you go anywhere this time!"

"So, you have a wife or concubine?" Chu Qingmeng's face instantly fell. The cold words made Mo Liujin break out in a cold sweat. He hurriedly explained, "No! Nothing! I don't even have a maid by my side!"

Chu Qingmeng looked doubtful and was about to speak when there was another knock on the door. It was the same clear male voice from the morning, "Father, someone from grandfather is here to call you for dinner."

Mo Liujin frowned and was about to say he couldn't go, but Chu Qingmeng signaled him with his eyes to go quickly. Mo Liujin made a pleading gesture, but Chu Qingmeng glared at him, and he could only cough awkwardly twice, "Ahem, I get it, I'll be right here."

Mo Jiangqing frowned slightly outside the door. There was something wrong with his father's voice today. Then he remembered that his father had said he wasn't feeling well this morning. He probably hadn't gotten up all day. If he was still like that tomorrow, he should ask the court doctor to come and see him.

Listening to the footsteps outside the door, Chu Qingmeng raised his leg with a cold face and wanted to kick Mo Liujin, but he was pinned down tightly. He shook off his hand with all his strength, pushed him away and cursed, "Hurry up and go eat! Don't be an eyesore here!"

"Aren't you going with me?" Mo Liujin looked at Chu Qingmeng in surprise. Chu Qingmeng looked up at him, sighed deeply, and sat up. "Not yet. I haven't figured out how to explain this face of mine to everyone."

Mo Liujin was naturally happy to see Chu Qingmeng, whose appearance had not changed at all. However, he was old, and a trace of loneliness flashed in his eyes when he thought about it. Seeing him like this, Chu Qingmeng laughed out loud, "Go quickly. When you come back, I'll tell you what happened to me."

"Qing Meng," Mo Liujin clung to him again, "Don't leave, wait for me to come back, okay? I'm afraid this is all a dream, I really don't want to leave this room."

Chu Qingmeng rolled her eyes at him and ignored him. She hugged the quilt and lay on the soft couch, reading the storybook. After Mo Liujin changed his clothes, he looked at her lying on the soft couch, smiled, walked out, closed the door, called the secret guards, and ordered Leng Feng Feiying and the other two to deliver food and watch over her in the room. The others scattered to guard the room and not allow anyone to enter or leave. Only then did he feel at ease and went to the palace.

Chu Qingmeng, who was reading a storybook in the house, saw Feiying and Lengfeng looking at her in the house, and couldn't help but laugh and scold, "This old guy!" After eating two mouthfuls of porridge, Chu Qingmeng stopped eating. Feiying persuaded him for a long time, but Chu Qingmeng didn't move a single bite. Feiying sighed and took the rice out for the servant to clear away. But when the servant was carrying the rice out of the yard, he was caught by Mo Jiangqing's wife Li. Li thought about it, she remembered that her father-in-law went to the palace to have dinner tonight, so how could there be food in the yard? But before she had time to think about it, she was pulled away by Mo Jiangche's wife Xu, "Sister-in-law, don't stand there, hurry up, it's freezing outside."

Chu Qingmeng, who was in the room at the time, was extremely bored. He asked Feiying to bring him his coat, took out a cigarette, broke the popping bead, lit it, and started smoking. As he smoked, he asked Feiying, "Feiying, I have a question for you, and you are not allowed to lie. After I left, did Mo Liujin get married and have children?"

"My lord, the Third Master has never married or had any children, nor does he have any concubines. He has been raising the two young masters alone for these years." Feiying answered seriously.

Chu Qingmeng tilted his head to look at Feiying's face, trying to see if he was lying for Mo Liujin. After watching for a while, he added, "Feiying, I still have your indenture. You'd better make sure you're telling the truth."

Feiying raised his head and looked directly into Chu Qingmeng's eyes and replied, "What I said is indeed the truth."

Chu Qingmeng nodded, exhaled the last puff of her cigarette, and threw the remaining cigarette butt into the charcoal basin. Then she began to cough. Feiying helped her breathe and said, "I will go to make the pills tomorrow."

Chu Qingmeng waved his hand to calm down, took a sip of hot tea and said, "Feiying, Lengfeng, who of you two will be responsible for the young masters' martial arts?"

"Miss, I am only responsible for supervising the young masters. It is the Third Master himself who teaches them martial arts." Leng Feng answered respectfully.

"Well, can you tell me about the current situation of the two young masters?" Chu Qingmeng felt inexplicably guilty when he thought about the two children growing up, and he didn't know why.
