At ten o'clock, Chen Yifei and Jiang Yi had already bought another round of coins, eaten dinner, and were reluctantly preparing to go home. "I have to go. If I don't go back now, I won't be able to finish my homework." Thinking of going back to do homework, the good mood he had just been playing games disappeared instantly. He said reluctantly, "Aren't you leaving yet?"

"Let's go, we'll leave right away." Jiang Yi answered him absentmindedly. Seeing that Jiang Yi had no intention of leaving with him, Chen Yifei could only leave first.

Because of her teacher's situation today, Su Jing had to wait almost an hour for class to start, so it ended an hour late. By the time she left, it was already 10:30. Thinking she still had homework to do and that getting food would take too long, she turned a corner. There was an old man selling roasted sweet potatoes in the alley behind the arcade. He sold them until after 10:00 every day. The aroma of roasted sweet potatoes filled half the street.

Holding two soft, fragrant roasted sweet potatoes, Su Jing trotted to the bus stop. The last bus left at 10:30 and arrived at the teacher's house at around 11:00. A few steps would be enough to catch it.

When she ran to the station, there were two or three people waiting for the bus. She took out a sweet potato, broke it open, blew on it twice, and was about to take a bite when she heard someone calling her name from behind, "Su Jing."

How could she run into a classmate at this hour? She turned her head to follow the voice and saw a sturdy boy, about her height, among the people waiting for the bus. He raised his hand to his chest and shyly greeted her.

I've seen this guy before, but who is he? Su Jing couldn't remember who he was and asked, "Who are you?"

The boy's eyes seemed a little frustrated, and then he smiled again, "I'm Chen Ke."

Chen Ke, looks so familiar, are we in the same class?

Su Jing didn't remember it at once, but she just moved her eyebrows slightly and said with a smile: "Oh, it's you. Sorry, the light is bad and I can't see clearly." She said something that would not offend anyone and tried to get away with it.

"Oh, is your eyesight not good?" Chen Ke seemed not to understand her attitude of not wanting to chat, and took a step closer. "Why are you waiting for the bus here so late? You don't live here, do you?" He asked Su Jing in an affirmative tone.

"Oh, I'm taking art class here." Su Jing didn't want to talk anymore. She was hungry and wanted to eat sweet potatoes.

But Chen Ke couldn't stop and continued to say to her: "Oh, then do you have to come every day? I happen to meet a math teacher here today and am preparing to make up lessons. We can take the bus together often in the future." He sounded very happy.

Only then did Su Jing remember that this person was actually in the same class as her. He sat two rows in front of her and was usually a very diligent and good student, but Su Jing had never really paid attention to what else he was like.

"Oh oh," Su Jing was still absent-minded, chewing on a sweet potato, her eyes fixed on the direction where the bus would come.

Seeing that she wasn't looking at him, Chen Ke's eyes gradually turned from the joy he had just heard her say she often came here to a cold look. He said, "Then, from now on, when you come here to attend class, can I come with you?"

"Uh, uh, maybe not. My time is uncertain." Su Jing took another bite of the sweet potato. She didn't want to talk at all. She was really hungry.

Chen Ke saw the slight impatience on Su Jing's face, and he felt some bad emotions in his heart.

Jiang Yi left the arcade, turned a corner, and walked along the road, looking around. Besides looking for taxis, he was also wondering why Su Jing hadn't shown up yet. He usually didn't wait for Su Jing to attend painting classes, but today, when he couldn't find the person he'd been talking to, he felt something was amiss, so he followed her, intending to wait for her to go home together. He could always copy her homework if he couldn't finish it, and it wouldn't ruin his sleep.

He waited for a long time but no one showed up. He wondered if he didn't see Su Jing and she had already gone home, so he decided not to wait.

The taxi followed the bus, one in front and one behind. Jiang Yi saw a taxi behind the bus early on, and quickly stepped to the side of the street. As the bus passed by, he raised his hand to stop the taxi.

Because it was the last bus, there were only a few people in the car. Su Jing got on the car and sat down with Chen Ke, one in front and one behind. When the taxi passed the bus, Su Jing and Chen Ke, who had just sat down, saw Jiang Yi in the taxi. Su Jing exclaimed, her eyes followed the taxi, and she couldn't help but say aloud: "You haven't gone home yet, why are you running here?"

When Chen Ke saw Jiang Yi, he quickly turned his gaze to Su Jing. Just as he heard her mumbling, something unclear flashed in his eyes.

The bus followed Jiang Yi's taxi forward, and within two minutes, the taxi drove away. After it disappeared from view, Su Jing withdrew her gaze. Instead of continuing to eat the remaining sweet potato, she rummaged in her pocket, pulled out a small notebook, and began to memorize words.

Chen Ke, on the other hand, stared at Su Jing's back without blinking, looking her up and down several times, finally stopping at her neck. Su Jing had good habits, and she didn't slouch when sitting on the bus. Instead, she sat upright, one hand on the back of the seat in front of her, and the other holding the vocabulary book, which she would occasionally look up at.

Her high ponytail swayed rhythmically as the car moved along. Chen Ke held onto the back of her chair with both hands, letting the strands of hair slide back and forth across his hands. It felt cool and smooth, tickling his legs. Su Jing had a long, slender neck, her skin delicate and fair. Chen Ke carefully leaned in closer. The alternating light from the street lamps softly shone on her neck, revealing a halo of light on the dense, fine hairs. Chen Ke stared, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed, and he never looked away until he got out of the car.

"I've arrived at my stop. I'm leaving now." Chen Ke said softly, but Su Jing didn't notice and continued to memorize her vocabulary seriously. Chen Ke frowned, unable to hide his disappointment.

Just as she pushed open the door, before she saw anyone, Su Jing heard Jiang Yi asking her in the living room: "Why are you back at this time? Where did you go after class?"

"The teacher had something to do, so the class started almost an hour later," Su Jing sighed, "I didn't even have time to eat. I have to do my homework quickly." She frowned and didn't even look at Jiang Yi, and went straight to her room.

"Go upstairs and write. I haven't done mine yet. I'm waiting for you." Jiang Yi stood up and stood in front of her.

"No one asked you to wait, get out of the way." Su Jing reached out to push him away.

"If you don't go, I'll do it in your room." Jiang Yi didn't move away.

"Your mother is not here? She will see it soon." Su Jing looked up at him.

"Just let her read it. She won't understand my homework anyway." Jiang Yi didn't care.

"It's up to you, but you are not allowed to close the door." Su Jing said.

"Okay," Jiang Yi immediately made way happily and ran upstairs. In less than a minute, he ran into Su Jing's room with his schoolbag.

Su Jing's desk was smaller, and the two sat close together, one on each side, their hands and feet occasionally touching. Through the thin layer of clothing, the warmth of the boy's body could be clearly felt, and the mature soul within the girl's body trembled from time to time, while the girl's inexperienced body also felt numb.

Terrible!

Su Jing closed her eyes, calmed down her emotions, forced herself not to think too much, and then began to do her homework seriously.

As Jiang Yi worked on his homework, his eyes kept drifting to Su Jing. Her eyelashes, long but not dense, fluttered as her gaze moved, like a butterfly about to take flight. His brow furrowed slightly, his white teeth biting his lower lip. His heart felt like a feather gently brushing against it, tickling.

In his heart, Jiang Yi still felt that she was not as pretty as himself. But he had to admit that Su Jing's appearance had a special allure. Just like what other classmates said, if her eyes looked at you, you would want to get closer to her and think of all sorts of things.

Su Jing noticed his gaze, raised an eyebrow, and glared at him from the corner of her eye. Jiang Yi quickly lowered his head, the tips of his ears red. After a moment, he leaned closer to Su Jing, his arm almost touching hers, and whispered, "Can you explain this question?" Su Jing turned her head to look at him. As their eyes met, Su Jing felt her heartbeat suddenly speed up and her face burned.

Jiang Yi, however, smiled mischievously: "You can't do it."

"Wait a minute, write something else first." Su Jing didn't help him immediately. She was worrying about a math problem herself.

"Okay," Jiang Yi shrugged, obediently put the book in his hand aside, picked up another one and started writing.

The door of the room was open, the desk was placed in front of the window, and the two of them had their backs to the door. They had no idea that their every move was being seen by Mother Jiang standing at the door.

Mother Jiang stood at the doorway until Su Jing finally raised her head and stretched. Then she gently moved aside, standing so that they couldn't see her if they looked back. She smiled, but didn't leave. She continued to stand.

"Oh my god!" Su Jing sighed. "This bullshit math is too difficult. I finally figured it out."

"Then it's time to explain this question to me." Jiang Yi reached out and took the notebook and threw it in front of Su Jing.

"Okay, I'll tell you." Su Jing said in a long voice.

The sound of people discussing topics drifted from the room. Occasionally, Su Jing would call him an idiot, but Jiang Yi didn't get angry, instead responding kindly. Mother Jiang smiled knowingly from the doorway. This son, he even said he didn't like this girl. With his character, he would sometimes turn his face away when she scolded him. Now, even though he was stunned by this girl's yelling, he still smiled happily.

While Jiang's mother was happy to have someone to help her son study hard, she also felt annoyed. She had provided him with food and clothing like an ancestor, yet he still gave her a cold shoulder. Now, an outsider was talking about him, and he was enjoying it. Alas, the son had grown up and it was no use keeping him.

After standing by the door for over an hour, Mother Jiang was tired. Seeing that the two children hadn't acted or spoken inappropriately, she finally felt relieved. She quietly walked upstairs. She could tell that this girl definitely liked her son, but her heart wasn't with him. She had a heart that couldn't be tied down. If her son wanted to keep her in the future, it probably wouldn't be easy.
