Mother Jiang dragged Jiang Yi's hand into the room, and angrily swung it hard. Jiang Yi fell onto his bed and screamed "Ouch" exaggeratedly.

"Stop pretending here." Mother Jiang glared at him sternly.

"Your classmate is staying at our house temporarily, so how can he bring girls back to live with us?" Mother Jiang stared at her son with a dark face for two minutes before she lowered her voice and said angrily.

Jiang Yi laughed, got up from the bed, and tried to hug her again. Mother Jiang glared at him and said sternly, "Hurry and put on your clothes."

"Oh, okay, I'll put it on right away." Jiang Yi shrank his head, stuck out his tongue, and went to get the pajamas on the stool at the end of the bed.

"There are girls at home, you can't wear this." Mother Jiang was rarely so serious with her son. Jiang Yi had no choice but to go to the closet and get some sweatpants and a T-shirt to put on.

"Mom..." After putting on his clothes, Jiang Yi ran to his mother and hugged her, rubbing his face against her face and neck, like a spoiled cat.

Normally, this trick would work immediately, but today, Mother Jiang didn't smile immediately. Instead, she raised her hand and grabbed his ear, pulling him off her. Of course, she didn't use much force, and Jiang Yi cooperated by making a sound of "ouch, ouch".

"Ouch, Mom... Mom, it hurts... it hurts... it hurts!" Jiang Yi screamed with an exaggerated grin.

"Stop it, talk nicely." Mother Jiang remained serious. She doted on her son, but they were always serious about matters of principle. So, even if Father Jiang was having an affair, she'd still ask about the situation when Jiang Yi asked to book a room. Besides, her son wasn't even eighteen yet, so she couldn't tolerate such a thing happening to him.

"Mom, listen to me, let go first, oh, it hurts..." Jiang Yi looked at his mother pitifully.

Mother Jiang let go of him and looked at him with a dark face, "Don't lie!"

"No lies, no lies, it's all true." Jiang Yi grinned and put his arm around his mother's shoulders. "Actually, hehe, she's the classmate I mentioned who's staying at home temporarily."

"Ah!" Mother Jiang was terrified. "Say it again!"

"She wants the classmate who has no family now and has to earn her own tuition."

"Not your girlfriend?" Mother Jiang asked again, not believing it.

"No, we're just good friends," Jiang Yi said.

"Really?" Mother Jiang confirmed with her son again.

"I promise, it's really not!" Jiang Yi raised his right hand above his head and said with a firm expression.

"Tell me clearly what's going on. What's going on between you and her?" Jiang's mother was clearly angry. She couldn't accept her son living with a girl at his age, but she didn't make any arbitrary judgments.

"Actually..." Jiang Yi just started to speak when his mother suddenly stood up and said, "Wait a minute."

Jiang Yi looked at his mother in confusion, the rest of the words stuck in his throat.

Mother Jiang stood up and walked over to her son's bedside. She bent down, her hands resting on the bed, and placed her head close to his pillow, sniffing it intensely. After sniffing the pillow a few times, she moved down again, her nose almost touching the sheets, inhaling the label. Her hands continued to grope inch by inch across the bed.

Jiang Yi didn't understand and asked, "Mom, what are you looking for?" Mother Jiang ignored him, so he simply walked to the other side of the bed and stared at his mother, wanting to know what she was looking for.

I saw Mother Jiang's eyes searching her bed inch by inch, her nose moving, and her expression extremely serious, like a police officer investigating a case on TV.

What on earth is my mom looking for? I'm old enough, so she can't be worried about me wetting the bed, right?

Suddenly, an extremely embarrassing thought flashed through Jiang Yi's mind, and his face turned red all the way to his neck.

Jiang Yi covered his face with his hands, his scalp was numb, and he was so embarrassed that he wanted to find a hole to crawl into on the ground: Could it be that Mom is looking for traces of how I solved the problem on the bed?

Jiang Yi quickly recalled his recent daily life, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. But he suddenly realized that since Su Jing moved in, he had slept well every day and hadn't had any random thoughts.

Jiang Yi suddenly felt relieved. He hadn't done anything, so his mother could check him however she wanted. However, he was actually surprised that he hadn't been thinking about those things recently.

When they weren't around, I'd always think about them, even in my dreams. Now that they're living at home, eating together, going out together, doing homework together, I've completely stopped thinking about them. It's really strange!

It seems that I really don't like her.

As he pondered, Mother Jiang straightened her back, her expression seemingly relaxed. But she still ignored her son and began to search the room, carefully checking every possible place to store things, on the table, in the cabinet drawers. She opened the wardrobes one by one and carefully examined every piece of clothing.

"Mom, what are you looking for?" Jiang Yi finally couldn't help but asked.

"Shut up! I'll settle the score with you later." said Jiang's mother.

Jiang Yi could only watch her quietly as she inspected everything, and he even suddenly thought he should give her a pair of latex gloves and a mask. Then, he laughed at his own thoughts.

Mother Jiang searched his room in vain and walked out the door.

"What are you looking for?" Jiang Yi couldn't help but ask again, and stood up and followed her out.

"I'll tell you after I find it." Mother Jiang's words were stiff, completely unlike her usual tone. Jiang Yi had no choice but to follow her into the next room, which was the guest room that Su Jing hadn't chosen. While in the hallway, he glanced downstairs and saw that no one was in the living room.

After a thorough search, Jiang's mother found nothing unusual. She couldn't find a single long black hair on the entire second floor. This at least indicated that the girl downstairs hadn't come upstairs, right? She eyed her son suspiciously, feeling she hadn't looked carefully enough. Or perhaps he had cleaned up thoroughly, after all, he was a germaphobe.

I didn't find anything, so let's just assume he didn't do anything for now. Mother Jiang let out a long, soft sigh, and the taut string loosened a little.

Jiang Yi, who was watching her closely, didn't miss Jiang's mother's little trick. Seeing his mother's expression relax, he quickly ran up to her and hugged her, saying in a flattering manner, "You didn't find anything, right? I told you I didn't do anything, but you still don't believe me. Hey, I'm so good, is there a reward?"

"Go away." Mother Jiang smiled at him, then immediately put away her smile and said with a stern face, "Go back to your room. The problem is not yet solved."
