The Seven Princesses' Journey Across Time

Chapter 59 My Fair Princess 7

She knew that only through arduous training could a strong army be forged. Qing Shu (Qing'er) also actively discussed tactics with the generals, working together to develop detailed battle plans. Leveraging her wisdom and experience, she proposed a series of innovative and effective strategic plans, earning unanimous approval from the generals.

Throughout this process, Qing Shu (Qing'er) demonstrated exceptional leadership and decisive decision-making. Not only was she able to accurately assess the battle situation, she also swiftly responded and stabilized the troops' morale. Her presence brought new vitality and confidence to the entire army, and everyone held this young lieutenant in high esteem.

Finally, Qingshu (Qing'er) and the army embarked on their journey. Along the way, she encountered numerous difficulties and challenges. Inclement weather, complex terrain, and the enemy's stubborn resistance all put immense pressure on her. However, Qingshu (Qing'er) remained steadfast in her resolve and remained calm. Facing enemy attacks, she skillfully deployed tactics and flexibly mobilized her forces, repeatedly escaping danger.

On the battlefield, amidst the smoke and the deafening cries of battle, she rode her horse, brandishing her sword. Enemies fell wherever she went, her bravery inspiring the soldiers who followed her, their morale high. She galloped across the battlefield like a flash of lightning, striking fear into the enemy. Seeing this, the enemy began to collapse and flee. Ultimately, her army emerged victorious, the battlefield in ruins, while her soldiers cheered. She gazed into the distance, knowing that this victory was only the beginning.

After a long and arduous battle, Qingshu (Qing'er) led his army to victory. When the news reached the capital, the emperor and the people rejoiced. Emperor Qianlong was particularly pleased. He highly praised Qingshu's performance and promoted her to Prince Yu, inheriting her father's title. He also issued a decree commending Qingshu and the troops she led, bestowing generous rewards. Qingshu's name spread throughout China, and she became a hero in the hearts of the people.

This time she was away for nine years. Now she is nineteen years old. During these nine years, she followed the army to fight in many battles, and successively conquered Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Burma, and completely incorporated them into China's territory. In the final attack on Japan, she almost wiped out the Japanese (the Japanese population at that time was about 20 million). Mainly thinking about the evil deeds Japan did to China at that time, she felt that the Japanese were evil by nature and did not want to leave trouble for herself. Most of the things left behind were taken from other places by Japan. At that time, Mianmian also said: "Aren't you the source of kindness and hard work?"

She also simply said: "I am a source of goodness, but not a source of the Virgin Mary."

Because of this action, the vassal states of Korea, Ryukyu, Vietnam, Nanchang (Laos), Siam (Thailand), Gorkha (Nepal), Sulu, Kanchuti, Kokand, Brut, Sak, Andijan, Margalang, Namgan, Tashkent, Afghanistan, Sikkim, and Bhutan, which were once vassal states, were willing to fully incorporate themselves into China's territory. They were mainly afraid that Qingshu (Qing'er) would one day attack them, and they would have no chance of survival, as they would be the king of hell.

Upon returning to the capital, Qing Shu (Qing'er) received a warm welcome and widespread acclaim. News of her heroic deeds spread throughout the capital, and people began to take notice of her. Qing'er felt immensely proud, knowing her efforts had paid off and she had finally proven her worth.

Qing'er knew this was a crucial step toward fulfilling her dream. Determined to live up to the expectations placed on her, she demonstrated her worth through military exploits. Before setting out, she diligently trained her soldiers and developed battle plans, preparing for the challenges ahead.

She rode along the streets with the army, watching the capital city change dramatically since she left. The streets and alleys were adorned with colorful flags and blooming flowers. People poured into the streets, cheering and shouting, "Long live the prince!"

The people watched as the prince rode a tall white horse, clad in magnificent armor and holding a sword, his demeanor exalted and majestic. The black background, red lines, and golden glints of her mask formed a strange yet ornate pattern. Beneath the mask, her eyes were as clear as morning dew, her fair skin accentuated by her straight nose and rosy lips. Her eyes held a firm and confident expression, revealing a noble and elegant demeanor that even the mask couldn't conceal.

Behind her was an army, dressed in neat uniforms, holding weapons, marching in step with great momentum. They were the prince's loyal followers, as well as the heroes and pride of the country.

Qianlong watched Qing'er approaching him, a surge of pride welling up in his heart. It was unimaginable that this woman could achieve such accomplishments. And when he thought of the nation's continuous expansion over the years, he couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Hahahaha..." That laughter, like the magic sound from a TV drama, echoed throughout the palace.

Hearing this familiar laughter, Qing'er's lips curled up slightly. She stepped forward, bowed, and said, "Your Majesty, I pay my respects to you. Long live the Emperor." Qianlong smiled as he descended the steps and personally helped her up. Looking at Qing'er, he was somewhat surprised to see that this child was as tall as a Mongolian princess, perhaps even taller. Qing'er now stood at a staggering 178cm.

Qianlong patted Qing'er on the shoulder and said admiringly, "Qingshu, you are truly remarkable! If everyone in the Qing Dynasty were as brave and fearless as you, wouldn't our territory be even more vast? Why would we have to worry about foreign invasions? Li Yu, announce the decree."

Li Yu hurried forward and read aloud, "By the Will of Heaven, the Emperor proclaims: I, bearing the Mandate of Heaven, govern the four seas, bringing timely rain and sunshine to the people. Now, there is Qingshu, loyal and brave. He has pacified the borders and expanded our territory for me, and his meritorious services are outstanding. I hereby grant him the title of Iron-Hat Prince Yu, a hereditary title, to honor his achievements. Qingshu, you must be respectful and prudent in your virtue, uphold your loyalty, and do not betray my grace. I decree this!"

Qing'er knelt down, respectfully accepted the imperial edict, and kowtowed in gratitude: "I kowtow to thank the emperor for his grace!"

Qianlong smiled and helped her up, saying affectionately, "Qing'er, go to the Cining Palace to pay your respects to the Empress Dowager. The Mid-Autumn Festival is only two weeks away, and you've come back just in time. You must spend some time with the Empress Dowager; she misses you so much." Qing'er burst into tears of gratitude, nodding repeatedly in agreement before turning and leaving. Qianlong watched her retreating figure, nodded with satisfaction, and then began to reward and commend the other generals one by one.

In the Cining Palace, the Empress Dowager paced anxiously around the room, her eyes constantly glancing outside, muttering to herself, "Why hasn't he arrived yet?" A nanny beside her whispered soothingly, "He should be here soon, Empress Dowager. Please sit down and rest for a while."
