Diablo traveled through time and became a necromancer

Chapter 7 Coach, I want to learn how to iron!

It wasn't known how long it took before Uncle Jordan and Leah's mother came out of the room. Uncle Jordan looked at his future son-in-law with a look of scrutiny and nodded. Then he walked outside, seemingly intending to get some firewood to cook.

"Well, Leah, why do I feel like a sheep in a den of wolves? Why do I feel so scared being stared at by Uncle Jordan and Aunt Mia?" Wu Ye whispered to Leah. Leah's ears also blushed when she heard it.

"Brother Wu, what are you talking about? My parents are probably just happy to see that I made new friends. If...it's nothing." Leah said while playing with the hair beside her ear with one hand.

As the kitchen began to bustle, Wu Ye noticed their enthusiasm for cooking and started helping out. After all, as a foodie, knowing how to cook delicious food was a must! It would be a waste if all the delicious food had to be bought with money.

The aroma coming from the kitchen also aroused Leah's appetite. She couldn't wait to taste the delicious food.

Then, dishes were brought to the table, and Mia couldn't wait to eat with her chopsticks in her hand.

"Congratulations, Liya, for returning home safely, and for meeting your new friend, Wu Ye. Cheers to your safe return home!" Wu Ye clinked his glass with theirs, then began to drink. Mia couldn't drink alcohol, so she had to drink juice. But she was still very happy to be able to sit down and eat with her family and Wu Ye.

"Cheers!" Wu Ye also raised his glass and clinked it with Leah's family. Then he drank it all in one gulp.

"Hiss! Ha! This wine! So strong!" Wu Ye looked at the empty glass, his face unconsciously getting hot. His head started to feel dizzy. It seemed like he couldn't drink that much after all.

Seeing this, Leah took Wu Ye's wine glass away.

"Brother Wu can't drink that much, so don't try to be so stubborn. You have to finish it even if you didn't say cheers."

Wu Ye scratched his head in embarrassment. He had originally intended to pretend to be cool and drink it in one gulp. He hadn't expected Leah's wine to be so strong.

Leah's father, Jordan, laughed and patted Wu Ye's shoulder. "Frankly, a level 30+ Paladin's strength is not low at all." Wu Ye felt like he was almost sober from the slap. It was truly overwhelming. With that kind of strength, no wonder he could become a blacksmith.

Then again, Wu Ye couldn't help but feel a bit queasy when he thought about the exorbitant repair costs for equipment in the later stages of the game. Take the Runeword repair fee, for example. Just imagine a weapon costing hundreds of thousands of gold coins to repair—who could afford that? Wouldn't it be great if he could become a blacksmith and support himself? He just didn't know what the requirements were for being a blacksmith; he'd ask Leah's father later. But when Leah told him her father was a blacksmith, Wu Ye was quite surprised.

"Wu, I heard from Leah that you only took her with you on your adventure. I'm really surprised. Normally, an adventure team consists of 3 to 5 people. And I heard that you seemed to want to go out on your own. That's amazing, but it's not a joke. When you go on an adventure, it's best to take a few reliable teammates with you so that you can return home safely. Although news of adventurers dying comes every day, I don't want to hear about you or my daughter Leah meeting with misfortune!" Uncle Jordan expressed a father's concerns. Wu Ye really hadn't thought about these things. Wu Ye was thinking that if the game could be completed alone, why couldn't it be done now that he was in the game?

However, Wu Ye quickly realized his dangerous thinking. If he could truly clear the game solo, then why were there still monsters from Hell invading Sanctuary? Why were so many people still sacrificing themselves daily to resist the forces of Hell? Wu Ye couldn't help but sweat. All of this knowledge was from previous games, and it might not be applicable here.

If I couldn't leave this world, if the forces of Hell invaded Sanctuary once again, could I really survive? This wasn't a game. I could resurrect and pick up my corpse after death. But how could I possibly be strong enough to make it to Diablo III? After all, in Diablo II, the limitations of the Worldstone prevented the demons from entering Sanctuary, and the nephalem's talents were limited. If Diablo II's maximum damage was hundreds of thousands, Diablo III's damage could be measured in trillions. You can imagine how powerful the demons were. And without the constraints of the Worldstone, the nephalem became even more perverted.

But as a Necromancer with three skill branches, I've only seen one skill in the Summoning series: Summon Skeletons. Is this really feasible? A Necromancer without amplified damage is soulless. If I can't reduce a monster's physical resistance, how can my purely physical attacking Skeletons break through the defenses of a monster immune to physical damage? It's unrealistic, right?

If I really only have the skill of summoning skeletons, then the number of skeletons I can summon is already limited. If I remember correctly, in the game, a single skill can only be manually upgraded to level 20, and the others can only be upgraded based on equipment. However, after using the modifier to upgrade the skill to level 99, I found that I can only summon 35 skeletons at most.

In-game, 35 skeletons are enough to crash even a big-headed computer. But what about real life? Would 35 skeletons be enough to fill Diablo's fire ring? To put it another way, Andariel's Poison Nova wouldn't be enough either, right? And summoning skeletons requires a monster corpse.

Although the skeletons I summoned were different from those in the game, I still had to prepare for the worst.

"Brother Wu! What are you daydreaming about?"

At this time, Wu Ye, who was lost in his own thoughts, felt Leah's call from beside him.

"Sorry, sorry! I just drank too much and my head feels a little dizzy. Can I go and have a rest first?" Wu Ye pretended to be drunk and covered his forehead while looking at Leah.

"Hahahaha! That's enough, kid! You don't have to drink like me next time. If you can't hold your liquor, just drink slower and less. No one will say anything! This isn't some drinking competition! Leah, take your brother Wu to his room to rest!" Uncle Jordan could tell at a glance that Wu Ye was contemplating something after hearing what he had just said. He wasn't really drunk. But since he was willing to think it through, it must be okay. Jordan put on that scrutinizing look for his son-in-law again. After all, think about it: his daughter Leah, over ten years! This was the first time she'd brought a man home!

He's also an adventurer who's willing to take his daughter on a solo adventure. Jordan, a level 30+ Paladin, said he didn't even have the courage to do so at level 1. This guy has something. But safety comes first. Being a hero isn't a good idea.

After hearing what her father said, Leah helped Wu Ye, who was pretending to be drunk, and slowly walked towards her room.

Leah blushed and her heart beat fast all the way. Suddenly she realized that this was the first man other than her father to enter her room since she was a child. And she had a good impression of him.

Suddenly, her heart was pounding, but she thought about it. With a blushing face, Liya helped Wu Ye to the bed, took off his shoes, and covered him with the quilt. Although she and Brother Wu had been adventuring outside for so long and were no longer so shy, it was inevitable that she would give people room for imagination.

"Liya" Wu Ye looked at Liya with a blushing face as she turned her head to the other side and didn't dare to look at him.

"Ah! What's wrong, Brother Wu? This is my room. You should have a good rest! After all, we've been adventuring for so many days. I can finally relax. I even asked you to help with cooking and I got drunk. Just lie down and have a good rest!"

Leah was startled by the sudden call.

Wu Ye thought for a long time. He looked at Leah sitting on the edge of the bed and thought.

If I could never return to my old world, what kind of home would I have? My heart raced as I looked at Leah. What was this feeling? Was it love? I wasn't sure. If I suddenly confessed my feelings to Leah, would she be disgusted?

But after thinking about it, I thought this kind of thing would just happen naturally. Seeing that the girl didn't seem to dislike me, I thought there should be a chance.

The thought of taking Leah out on an adventure and potentially dying in an accident was hard to accept. If Leah were to join another team, would she be unhappy?

Wu Ye thought that only if he became stronger could he protect others from harm.

I suddenly recalled my first time playing Diablo. I also played a Necromancer. But I didn't know how to play it, so I chose Strength and Agility, wore heavy armor, and wielded a two-handed sword. I summoned skeletons and then attacked them myself.

It’s quite funny to think about it. A necromancer who can’t fight in close combat is not a good mage.

After much deliberation, Wu Ye decided to learn everything he could, whether it was blacksmithing or anything else he could learn. After all, having many skills is always a good thing!

Wu Ye fell asleep while thinking without realizing it.

Leah stood up and looked at Wu Ye who was breathing steadily, and she let out a long sigh.

"If only we could be together!"

Leah, who had said this unknowingly, reacted, blushed instantly, and then quickly fled her room.

Time passed quickly, and several days had passed unknowingly. Wu Ye also gradually became familiar with Leah's family.

Uncle Jordan works in the blacksmith shop as usual. Every day many adventurers come to repair and purchase equipment forged by Uncle Jordan himself.

According to Uncle Jordan himself, he once forged a piece of golden scale armor. Later, it seemed that the armor had very low wearing requirements and was auctioned for a very high price. However, only the wealthy families could afford such a thing, right?

I thought about it, if I could wear gold-quality scale armor in the early levels, then I could imagine how much defense I would have. Not to mention the bloody wasteland, maybe I could even walk across the rocky wilderness?

Uncle Jordan said that these were all preparations for his daughter Leah's dowry in the future.

Wu Ye understood Uncle Jordan's hint, but he couldn't answer directly. Wu Ye said, "Coach! I want to learn how to iron!"
