Bidding farewell to the solemnity of Light's Hope Cathedral and the solemn entrustment of Grimm and Juliana, the last rays of sunset sank completely into the Twin Seas. Kurast Harbor, far from fading into silence with the onset of night, seemed to have taken on a completely different face, a vibrant energy. Countless magical lanterns, alchemical lanterns, and traditional oil lamps lit up one after another, illuminating the main streets and plazas of the port area like daylight. The clamor, far from diminishing, intensified. Sailors, merchants, artisans, and adventurers, after a long day's work, now flocked to the streets to enjoy a rare moment of leisure.

"Huh... I can finally relax!" Wu Ye stretched out his arms, his bones crackling softly as a relieved smile crossed his face. "What kind of nice person would rush out to fight monsters the moment they arrive in a new place? It's not like they're rushing to be reincarnated! Let's go, fill our stomachs first, and then take a good look around the Oriental Pearl Tower!"

Leah and Vera also visibly relaxed, their eyes flickering with curiosity and anticipation for the night market. Skeleton Brother continued to follow silently, but his soul fire seemed to flicker slightly with the lively atmosphere around them, losing some of the coldness of the battlefield.

The three men and the skeleton soon arrived at the port district's bustling "Sea Serpent Market." During the day, it was a market for fish and daily necessities, but at night, it transformed into a sea of delicious food and quirky stalls. The air was filled with alluring aromas: sizzling, spiced skewers of giant sea beast meat; steaming, coconut-flavored sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves; fragrant fried noodles with shrimp, shellfish, and tropical vegetables stir-fried on a giant iron plate; and, most not to be missed, the Kurast specialty, the "Fire Drunken Crab." Giant, vibrant sea crabs were dipped in a special brew ignited by blue flames, instantly intoxicating them, then quickly roasted until their shells glowed crimson, their meat brimming with the aroma of wine and charred flames, a truly mouth-watering treat!

"Wow! That! That looks so delicious!" Leah pointed to a stall not far away that was surrounded by diners. The chef there was throwing processed crabs as big as washbasins into a large vat burning with a faint blue flame. The flames instantly wrapped around the crabs, making a slight "boom" sound and a rich, wine-scented aroma.

"Let's go! Let's try it!" Wu Ye, his appetite piqued, pulled Leah over and squeezed in. Vera remained silent, but her eyes were fixed on the alluring flames. Skeleton Brother's massive frame easily separated them from the throng.

While waiting for their food, their eyes were drawn to the dazzling array of stalls surrounding them. Kurast, a giant port where the East meets the West, is a gathering place for exotic treasures from around the world.

One stall was filled with a dazzling array of seashells and conchs in various shapes and colors, some as large as shields, some as small as pearls, shimmering dreamily under the light. The stall owner, a tanned local man wearing enormous earrings, was enthusiastically introducing them to customers: "Look at these 'Tears of the Moon Goddess'! They're found in the deepest trenches of the Gemini Seas, and only surface once every ten years! Hang them over your bed for sweet dreams! And there's this 'Storm Horn'; blow it and even the sea god will listen!" Leah was mesmerized. She finally chose a bracelet made of pink mother-of-pearl and purple starfish fragments, which she wore on her slender wrist, unable to let go.

Another stall was filled with mystery, displaying a variety of animal bones, feathers, dried herbal roots, and leather scrolls painted with strange runes. The stall owner was an elderly woman wrapped in a headscarf, revealing only a pair of deep eyes. In the crystal ball before her, a nebula seemed to be slowly rotating.

She whispered in a hoarse voice: "Lost traveler... need guidance? Ancient wisdom... can see through the fog..." Vera's eyes were attracted by several short javelins in the corner of the stall. They were made of some kind of black hardwood and had bird of prey feathers inlaid on the tails. The smooth lines and sharp tips of the spears made her, an Amazon warrior, feel a little excited.

She picked one up and weighed it. It felt fine and perfectly balanced. "How much?" she asked succinctly. The old woman held up three bony fingers. "Three gold coins, with a motto for destiny." Vera paid promptly and slipped the javelin back into the pouch on her back. As for the motto? She merely raised an eyebrow, dismissing it.

Wu Ye paused at a stall selling all sorts of bizarre gadgets. The stall owner, a middle-aged man with a mustache and a shrewd look, called himself "Jack the Know-It-All." His stall had everything: dancing wooden figurines (with clockwork mechanisms inside); ceramic whistles that produced bird sounds; crystal bottles filled with fireflies that served as nightlights; and even pebbles supposedly soaked in "petrified lizard tears" for good luck (Wu Ye seriously suspected they were just ordinary stones that had been dyed).

"Hey! Friend! I can tell you're an experienced adventurer!" Know-it-all Jack greeted him enthusiastically when he saw Wu Ye stop. "Come and take a look at this! Good stuff I just got from the depths of the Sogren Jungle!" He mysteriously took out a small box wrapped in oilcloth from under the stall. When he opened it, there were a few black, inconspicuous seeds inside.

"Don't underestimate it! This is called 'dream beans'! Put one in your mouth before going to bed, and I guarantee you will have a sweet dream! You may dream about the location of treasure, the thoughts of your sweetheart...all possible!" He said with a wink.

Wu Ye picked up a bean, looked at it, and sniffed it. It had a faint, refreshing mint-like scent. "How much?"

"A bargain! One gold coin each! Buy three, get one free!" Jack rubbed his hands.

Wu Ye smiled. Although he thought it was probably a scam, it was still interesting, so he bought three and prepared to try them out when he got home. He also took a fancy to a small skull model made of some kind of black metal. It was only the size of a thumb, but the joints were movable and the workmanship was very delicate. "How about this one?"

"Wow! You have good taste! This is a craft from the ancient Horadrim period! Legend has it that it can bring... uh... good luck in death?" Jack was a little stuck.

"Good luck in death?" Wu Ye laughed, thinking the vendor was full of nonsense. But the little skull was indeed exquisite. He casually tossed a gold coin to the vendor and said, "I'll buy it as a souvenir."

Just as Wu Ye was paying, a slightly teasing voice rang out from the side: "Hey! Jack, are you selling your 'Ancient Horadrim' junk again? Where's that 'Water Elemental Summoning Shell' you sold me last time? I blew at the sea for a long time, but all I attracted was a flock of seagulls!"

Wu Ye turned around and saw a tall young man wearing silver-white chain mail inlaid with holy emblems, a one-handed warhammer and a medium-sized kite shield hanging from his waist. He was standing with his arms folded and a bright smile on his face. Three people were following him:

Barton: As stout as a mountain, he carried a massive Crusader tower shield on his back, a flail shrouded in faint holy light hung from his waist. He stood silently, like an unshakable fortress.

Ella: Mist Ranger (D4 Ranger variant). She wears dark green leather armor with leaf patterns and wields a longbow carved with vine patterns, its shaft faintly brimming with natural energy. Pointed ears peek out from her dark green hair, and her emerald eyes, sharp as an eagle's, carry the detachment and wildness of the forest.

Lily: Petite, wrapped in a large, shadow-patterned cloak, revealing only a pair of large, cunning eyes. Hanging from her waist are various small tool kits, potion bottles, and several gleaming metal thorns. Her fingers are slender and nimble, clearly a trap master.

When Jack the Know-It-All saw the newcomer, he immediately put on a bitter face. "Oh my! Captain Finn! Please don't mess with me! That shell...that shell might be because Poseidon was in a bad mood that day!"

The young man known as "Finn" laughed heartily, ignoring Jack. He turned his gaze to Wu Ye, scrutinizing and curious. A flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes when he saw the Skeleton Brother behind Wu Ye, but it quickly gave way to intense interest. "Friend, new here? Bringing such a... unique companion (referring to the Skeleton Brother), are you also here to make your fortune in Kurast?" As he spoke, the Paladin emblem on his wrist flickered faintly in the light.

Wu Ye (still inwardly in shock over Elf Ella) forced a smile: "I guess so. I'm mainly here to broaden my horizons."

"My name is Finn." Finn saluted gracefully, his movements carrying the solemnity unique to a paladin, but the smile on his face was still hearty, "This is my team, 'Emerald Claw'." He pointed behind him, "This is our strong shield, 'Stonewall' Patton, a paladin specializing in defense. With him in the front, the devil's claws can't touch us!" Patton smiled innocently and patted his heavy tower shield, making a dull sound.

Finn then pointed at Ella: "This is 'Eagle Eye' Ella, the Mist Ranger from the Misty Forest. Her arrows can penetrate the thickest fog and accurately find the devil's eyes!" Ella nodded slightly, her emerald eyes calm.

Finally, he pointed at Lily. "And our little darling, 'Nimble Fingers' Lily. Don't be fooled by her small size, she's an assassin who's mastered traps! No trap or mechanism can escape her, and she can even give the enemy a taste of her own 'little surprises'!" Lily muttered in dissatisfaction, "I'm not a little darling! And, just call me Lily!"

"Wu Ye." Wu Ye briefly introduced himself, Leah, and Vera, "and this one, Wu Yi." He pointed at Brother Skeleton.

"Wow! Such a cool-looking skeleton!" Finn whistled, walked around the skeleton brother, and exclaimed in amazement, "Brother, your summoned creature is really cool! It's much more handsome than those skeletons we encountered in the Skinning Jungle before! Those guys would just stupidly rush over and die."

"Skinning Jungle?" Wu Ye concentrated hard, catching the key words. "Did you just come back from there?"

"That's right!" Finn sighed, with a mixture of fear and excitement on his face. "I accepted a clearing mission from Iron Wolf to clear out an ancient altar occupied by tree monsters. Those ghost things have thick skin and flesh, and their vines are like whips, and they are poisonous! If it weren't for Patton's strong shield and Ella's accurate arrows," he nodded in the direction of the elf Ella.

"One arrow per person, aiming at the eyes! And Lily discovered several traps in advance, we almost fell into them!" He patted the tower shield of the strong man Barton next to him, making a dull sound.

Barton smiled innocently but said nothing. Ella glanced at Finn coldly, "You rushed too fast and almost fell into the poison ivy pit." Her voice was clear and melodious, like a mountain stream, with a strange rhythm, but her tone was flat and without any emotional fluctuations.

Finn rubbed his nose sheepishly. "It was an accident! It was a complete accident! But it was a good harvest!" He patted the bulging purse at his waist with pride. "I'll treat you to a drink at the Siren's Song later! The rum there is the best in Kurast!"

"Siren Song?" Wu Ye asked curiously, unable to resist taking another peek at Ella. Observing her up close, he could sense her inhuman delicacy and aloofness.

She seemed to be aware of Wu Ye's gaze, and her emerald eyes glanced at him lightly, her eyes calm and unwavering, as if she was looking at an insignificant object. Then she looked away, as if the bustling night market around her had nothing to do with her, and she was only focused on her own world.

"Oh! That's the most famous tavern and inn in the port area!" Finn introduced enthusiastically, "The owner is a one-eyed old pirate with so many stories that they can fill a ship! The drinks are authentic and he's well-informed! How about it, friend, do you want to go for a drink together? I'll treat you! Just consider it making friends! By the way... hehe, tell us the story of your skeleton brother?" He looked at Wu Ye expectantly.

Wu Ye glanced at Leah and Vera. Leah's eyes shone with curiosity (especially towards Ella), while Vera shrugged indifferently. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the shock of meeting an alien race for the first time, and nodded. "Okay, we need to find a place to eat, too." He was filled with countless questions: What was the status of elves in this world? Where did they live? What was their relationship with humans? Why was this elf mixing with human adventurers? How many races in this world were there that he didn't know about?
