Lin Xiu walked slowly into the Queen's bedroom and knelt respectfully. The Queen sat on the throne, looking at her with a smile.

"Madam An, please stand up." The queen said gently, with a hint of kindness in her eyes.

Lin Xiu stood up and said gratefully, "Thank you, Queen."

The queen waved her hand gently, and the palace maid beside her immediately brought an exquisite lacquer box.

"This is a gift I specially prepared for you. I hope you like it." The queen spoke in a soft tone, with kindness in her eyes.

Lin Xiu took the lacquer box with both hands and bowed deeply: "I am very grateful."

The Queen nodded and continued, "I am very pleased that your daughter, An Lingrong, is doing very well in the palace. You and your daughter have not seen each other for a long time, and I am sure you miss her very much. Go, she is waiting for you in Jingyang Palace."

Lin Xiu's voice trembled slightly: "Thank you, Queen, for your grace."

An Lingrong stood at the window of Jingyang Palace, her eyes occasionally glancing toward the palace gate. Her hands gently caressed her towering belly, a smile of anticipation on her face.

"Qiuyue, when do you think mother will arrive?" An Lingrong turned around and asked, her voice full of excitement.

Qiuyue stepped forward, straightened An Lingrong's clothes, and replied softly, "Don't worry, Madam Lin should be here soon."

An Lingrong nodded and turned to the window. Sunlight filtered through the lattice, casting dappled shadows on the ground. She took a deep breath and inhaled the sweet scent of the osmanthus flowers blooming in the courtyard.

"Mother hasn't seen me for a long time," An Lingrong murmured to herself. "I wonder if she would be surprised to see me like this."

Lin Xiu walked quickly into Jingyang Palace and immediately saw An Lingrong standing at the window. The mother and daughter looked at each other, and tears filled their eyes.

"Mother!" An Lingrong shouted excitedly and stepped forward.

Lin Xiu quickly stepped forward and hugged her daughter tightly: "Rong'er, let mother take a good look at you."

She took a step back and looked up and down at An Lingrong's bulging belly, her eyes filled with relief and joy: "My Rong'er has grown up and will soon become a mother."

An Lingrong took her mother's hand and led her to sit on the couch. "Mother, you've lost weight. Is everything okay at home?"

Lin Xiu gently stroked the back of her daughter's hand and said softly, "Everything is fine at home. Your father and brother miss you very much. Your father often said that he hopes to see his grandson in person."

A trace of sadness flashed in An Lingrong's eyes. "I miss them too. Mother, please give my regards to father and brother."

Lin Xiu nodded and looked at her daughter lovingly: "Don't worry, I will. You must take good care of yourself in the palace."

Lin Xiu held An Lingrong's hand, her expression becoming serious. Her brows furrowed slightly, and her eyes revealed deep worry.

"Rong'er," Lin Xiu said softly, her voice low and firm, "I just observed that although the Queen has a kind face and does things flawlessly, there has been no prince born in the palace in so many years. You must always remain vigilant."

An Lingrong nodded, a flicker of understanding in her eyes. Lin Xiu continued, "Don't trust anyone easily, and don't reveal your thoughts casually."

She raised her hand and gently stroked An Lingrong's cheek, her tone softening, "You are pregnant now, so you must be extra careful. Listen to the doctor's advice, take your medicine on time, and get enough rest."

An Lingrong held her mother's hand, tears welling in her eyes: "Don't worry, mother, I will take good care of myself."

An Lingrong listened to her mother's instructions, a warm feeling welling up in her heart, but it was soon replaced by a sense of confidence and cunning. She lowered her head slightly, a barely perceptible smile curling the corners of her mouth.

"I'm not so easily manipulated," An Lingrong thought silently, a shrewd look in her eyes. She recalled her recent arrangements and felt a surge of satisfaction, a sense of control.

Everyone in Jingyang Palace, from personal maids to patrol guards, had been secretly fed the loyalty pill by her.

The midwives and the prepared wet nurses had all unknowingly become her pawns. An Lingrong was secretly pleased with herself, feeling like a general planning a strategic move.

"Just wait and see," she sneered in her heart, "Wait until I give birth to the prince safely, and see what tricks the queen can play." An Lingrong imagined the shocked, angry and helpless expression on the queen's face, and a sense of revenge surged in her heart.

She gently stroked her bulging belly, with a glint of determination and expectation in her eyes.

An Lingrong sat elegantly at the dinner table carefully prepared in the imperial kitchen, sitting opposite the emperor.

"Lingrong, how does this fish soup taste?" the emperor asked with a smile, looking at her tenderly.

An Lingrong was about to answer when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Her face turned pale and beads of sweat oozed from her forehead.

"Ah!" She couldn't help but scream, covering her abdomen tightly with her hands.

The emperor immediately stood up, walked quickly to An Lingrong's side, and asked with concern: "Lingrong, what's wrong with you? Are you about to give birth?"

An Lingrong bit her lip and nodded, a trace of pain and fear flashing in her eyes.

The emperor was immediately panicked. He shouted, "Quick! Call the imperial physician! Call the midwife!"

He carefully helped An Lingrong up, his voice filled with unprecedented nervousness: "Don't be afraid, I'm here."

Jingyang Palace suddenly became busy. Lin Xiu followed closely behind and walked quickly into the delivery room.

"Rong'er, don't be afraid, mother is here." Lin Xiu held An Lingrong's hand, her voice gentle but firm.

An Lingrong's face was pale, with beads of sweat on her forehead. She bit her lips tightly, and a trace of pain and fear flashed in her eyes.

"Mother... I'm scared..." An Lingrong said tremblingly.

Lin Xiu gently wiped the sweat off her daughter's face and comforted her softly: "Don't be afraid, you are the strongest. Take a deep breath. That's it."

Outside the house, the emperor paced back and forth anxiously, the palace maids prayed in low voices, and the entire Jingyang Palace was shrouded in a tense atmosphere.

Upon hearing the news, the Queen immediately stood up and said solemnly, "Let's go to Jingyang Palace."

A flicker of jealousy flashed across Concubine Hua's eyes, but she quickly concealed it and told Songzhi, "Go to Jingyang Palace and take a look."

The group arrived outside Jingyang Palace, where the palace maids were bustling in and out. The emperor stood in the courtyard, his eyes sweeping over everyone: "Be quiet, don't disturb anyone inside."

Hua Fei snorted lightly, with disdain flashing in her eyes: "Such a big scene, bitch is just pretentious."

Concubine Jing gently advised, "Empress Hua, now is not the time to talk about this."
