After walking for five or six hours, the sun in the sky gradually approached the center, and the plants around gradually increased. Mary also saw many small animals along the way, mostly gray rabbits running around, and crows perched on dead branches. Even this was enough for Mary to watch with relish.

"Ah," Mary saw a naked skeleton, half of the body still had rotten flesh surrounded by flies. Several crows were squatting on the corpse to peck at the food, but because of the exoskeleton worn by the corpse, the crows' bites made a "clink-dang-dang" sound on the metal.

Mary recognized that this was an old style from more than ten years ago. She hadn't seen it in the market in the past one or two years. She didn't expect to see it outside. Mary stood not far away, watching the crows pecking at food curiously.

"Jingle, clang, clang."

"quack--"

The crow stared at the stranger who had the rudeness to watch others eat, called a few times and flew away, leaving behind only a dead and uneaten corpse.

Mary had never seen such a corpse. She looked around, picked up a branch out of curiosity, walked over and poked the corpse, and saw the markings on the exoskeleton.

"It turns out to be a bionic man." Mary breathed a sigh of relief and felt much more relaxed. She thought about it and took off the exoskeleton of the bionic man. The metal on the outside should be very valuable. After she peeled it off, it brought out a nauseating stench, and Mary vomited out of disgust.

She subconsciously wanted to find some water to wash, but all she saw was dry yellow. Perhaps there would be water if she dug up the stones and fine sand from the ground covered with shrubs, but Mary's physical strength did not allow it. She held the terminal and checked for a while, and found that sand could also be used to wash items.

"Wow, I didn't know there was such knowledge." Mary looked at the yellow soil around her and rubbed a handful of it with her hands. "Hmm, it should have the same effect as sand."

The sand did eliminate a lot of the odor. Mary threaded a rope through the gaps in the metal and dragged it behind her, which made things a lot easier for her.

After walking for a while and seeing countless hares, crows and lizards, Mary heard human voices.

"Hey, is there someone there?"

"No, you saw it wrong."

Some people were still confused, while others rushed towards Mary.

Mary stood up and cautiously took out a spray and a stun gun.

"Hello, would you like to join us? We have water and food at our gathering place. It's worth joining, and there's a limited-time offer. You can even choose where you want to live and build whatever house you want."

The player who rushed forward finished all his words in one breath, stopped the player who rushed forward from the back, and looked at Mary expectantly. This is 50 points. Find an NPC to join the territory and bring him back safely, and you will get 50 points. This is much faster than picking up scraps, digging canals, and picking wild fruits!

Mary looked at the dozen or so players rushing over, and sized up their hands. They had no weapons and their attitudes were very friendly, so she nodded.

"Is your backpack heavy? Let me help you carry it. This piece of iron... eh, it smells so bad. You should carry it yourself."

The players enthusiastically offered their help, smoothly changing the subject amidst the stench of the exoskeleton. The player who had secured Mary proudly continued forward with Mary, while the others continued along this road towards the city of Philie.

"Aren't they joining us?" Mary couldn't help but ask, watching the enthusiastic players suddenly resume their search along the road so naturally. Even the person leading her separated from their companions as if this was perfectly normal. "Isn't the road unsafe?"

"Ah." The player leading the way looked at the map. "No, don't worry. Even if I die, I will still get you safely to the leader—no, the gathering place. When the time comes, just remember that it was the Running Boar who took you back. Be sure to register that name."
