Chapter 681 [Land of Grace] 3

"Thank you." Feng Lan walked into the house, and the wooden door closed behind her, remaining motionless.

The yard was bathed in sunlight, and many soft, short wild grasses sprouted from the cracks in the stone slabs, their tips tinged with gold. When the cat's sensitive paws stepped on them, Feng Lan didn't feel any sharpness but rather a softness, as if the wild grasses under her feet knew she was the owner of the house. As Feng Lan stepped into the soft, fluffy grass, she felt a little like lying down and rolling around.

"Hululu..."

By the time Feng Lan realized what was happening, she was already lying on the ground, rolling around in the grass, covered in grass clippings.

"...Snoring." After a moment's hesitation, she followed her heart and continued rolling around without any guilt.

Feng Lan lay lazily for a while before getting up with strong willpower.

The house's structure resembled that of a French village, with a reddish-brown pointed roof made of stone and wood, semi-circular windows, a cluster of flowering shrubs by the door, and dark green ivy winding along the walls. Light and shadow fell half on the ivy and half on the walls. There were two thin, flat boulders at the doorway, which were just right for Feng Lan's short stature. As she walked to the door, the heavy wooden door opened automatically.

"Meow."

Thank you.

She wagged her tail and went inside, where the interior was decorated in warm colors.

Entering, you'll find yourself in the living room. To the left is a large sofa. Warm sunlight streams in through the window adorned with intricately embroidered white gauze curtains, illuminating the sofa covered in a floral-patterned, pleated slipcover. The sofa looks very soft and perfect for a cat to lie on and sunbathe.

The floor was made of waxed mahogany wood flooring, covered with a woven checkered linen rug. To the right was a solid wood dining table with four sets of tableware and a pot of red flowers. Flowers and plants were everywhere in the room, and the ceiling beams were made of several intersecting giant logs with potted plants hanging from them. In the far left corner was a Big Ben clock, ticking away the time.

To the left is the study, to the right is the kitchen past the dining room, and up the spiral staircase from the living room is the bedroom. All the rooms are well-lit, with sunlight streaming in through the windows. Safety aside, the light and beauty are undeniable. When Fenglan was in the yard, she could already see the blue plumbago and magnolia blossoms on the balcony, their yellow and blue hues blending together beautifully.

As Feng Lan toured the house, her ears twitched, and the next second, the wind chimes at the door rang.

"Squeak."

The wooden door opened.

But the black cat told her that only the owner of the house could come in.

Feng Lan jumped onto the balcony and peeked out from among the flowers.

He met Bi Kejin's bright eyes.

The other creature was also tiny, with a flowerpot on its head, and flowers rooted inside. It sat on a creaky little boat with a bewildered expression, its short, chubby tentacles pawing at the boat as it swayed and suddenly stopped. Outside the wooden door was no longer the street Feng Lan had entered from, but a winding little river.

"Crash..."

"Bick, Flower!"

"Lanlan? Lanlan!"

Bi Ke's eyes lit up when he saw the wind and mist on the balcony. He jumped out of the small boat and leaped into the doorway. The wooden door closed behind them, and the creaking boat continued to drift along the river.

Feng Lan leaped from the balcony into the yard, then took two steps back when she saw Bi Ke rushing towards her. "Wait."

She shrunk, and how come these two shrunk too?!

Compared to a normal adult human, Feng Lan is about the size of a foot. Bi Ke is a little bigger than her, and if you include her tentacles, she should be about the length of a thigh. If you only consider her curled-up body, she is about the height of her calf.

"Lan Lan!"

Although Feng Lan called for a stop, Bi Ke still pounced on her, his passionate tentacles encircling Feng Lan, who was just a size smaller than him, in his arms.
