Seven days later, everyone finally arrived home.
Meng Yao, Madam Meng, Fen Hua, and Xue Yang, who was being held tightly by Chao Yang, were startled by a large group of animals that had just entered the yard. These animals included a variety of animals, including lively and cute white wolves, naive black bears, and chubby tigers.
Wei Ying leaped up and down excitedly, running towards the animals while shouting, "Pan Pan, Pang Pang, Tuan Qiu, Gun Gun, I'm back!" His voice was filled with joy and anticipation, as if these animals were old friends he had reunited with after a long absence. Wei Ying's presence filled the entire courtyard with life and energy, as if all the animals were infected by his enthusiasm, becoming even more lively and cheerful.
After seeing this scene, Chaoyang explained: "This is Aying's pet."
"Oh, by the way," Chaoyang smiled and looked at Meng Yao and Mrs. Meng, explaining, "These animals have all been specially trained and are gentle and will not hurt anyone."
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Meng's eyes flashed with surprise and curiosity, and then she smiled gently and said, "It seems that our future life here will be more colorful than we imagined. These little animals are so adorable."
Meng Yao patted his chest lightly, as if he was still recovering from the shock just now, but the corners of his mouth unconsciously rose up, his eyes were full of smiles, and he thought to himself that it was really nice here.
Fen Hua was observing all this silently with a smile on his face, while Xue Yang had already been taken by Wei Ying to play with the animals.
Chaoyang led them inside.
"Wow! Where did this giant panda come from?" Meng Yao paused in surprise, her eyes instantly drawn to the adorable black and white giant panda. It lazily lounging on a bamboo lounge chair in the center of the yard, clutching a fresh bamboo stick and chewing it with relish, seemingly oblivious to its surroundings.
Madam Meng was also pleasantly surprised. She covered her mouth lightly and said with a smile, "This is truly a rare gift. When did our family have such a distinguished guest?"
Fen Hua circled the giant panda with curiosity, occasionally making sounds of amazement: "This panda's fur is so shiny and smooth, it just looks so lovely."
"I was wondering why I hadn't seen it. It turns out it's staying in the inner courtyard." Chaoyang chuckled, his eyes full of doting and warmth. "This is the little fellow that Aying accidentally rescued a while ago. His name is 'GunGun'.
"Gongong" seemed to sense the gazes and discussions around it, and slowly raised its head. Its round black eyes seemed to be able to see into people's hearts. It rolled over in a naive manner, then continued to gnaw on the bamboo. Its leisurely and contented look made everyone present relax involuntarily.
Chaoyang smiled and led everyone inside, introducing every detail of the home. From the meticulously tended medicinal fields, to the well-stocked study, to the warmly decorated bedroom, every detail exuded the warmth and tranquility of home.
"Uncle, will this be my room from now on?" Xue Yang took Chaoyang's hand and pointed to a room decorated with blue curtains and a boat model, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Yes, this will be your little world from now on. You can decorate it to your liking." Chaoyang replied gently, a warm feeling welling up in his heart. He knew how important it was for this child to have a home that truly belonged to him.
As night fell and the stars twinkled, a group of people sat together in the yard, enjoying a rare reunion time. Wei Ying and Xue Yang chased and played in the yard, laughter continuing;
Meng Yao and Madam Meng watched the children play with smiles on their faces, their hearts filled with joy. Fen Hua quietly ate cakes nearby, occasionally gazing up at the starry sky, as if pondering some profound question.
Chaoyang watched all this, his heart filled with satisfaction. "Uncle, look, I caught a firefly!" Xue Yang ran over excitedly, holding a tiny firefly in his hands. The faint light seemed particularly warm in the night.
"So beautiful." Chaoyang smiled and touched Xue Yang's head, a surge of tenderness in his heart.
"Uncle, can we put fireflies here and let them light up the whole yard?" Xue Yang's eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Of course," Chaoyang replied gently, then stood up and, along with Xue Yang, released the fireflies one by one. The tiny dots of light danced in the night sky, adding a layer of mystery and beauty to the small courtyard.
As the night deepens, the light of fireflies flickers in the yard, like stars falling on the earth.
Meng Yao and Madam Meng sat on a stone bench, chatting quietly about family matters, their faces filled with happy smiles. Fen Hua listened quietly to the side, occasionally interjecting a word or two to make the atmosphere more harmonious.
Wei Ying and Xue Yang were tired from playing, so they lay on the grass, looking up at the starry sky, searching for their own star. Wei Ying said softly to Xue Yang, "Ayang, do you know? Every star represents a story, a wish.
Maybe one day, you will become one of those shining stars, lighting up the sky for others."
Xue Yang's eyes sparkled with longing after hearing this. He held Wei Ying's hand tightly and asked softly, "Really? Then will I have a star of my own?"
"Of course, everyone has their own star." Wei Ying replied with a smile, his eyes full of encouragement.
Meng Yao and Madam Meng heard their conversation and smiled at each other, their hearts filled with relief. Meng Yao whispered to Madam Meng, "Mother, it was the right decision for us to come here."
Mrs. Meng smiled and nodded, tears glistening in her eyes: "Yes, everything here makes people feel warm and peaceful."
"Okay, it's very late, go to bed early! You will start classes and training tomorrow." Chaoyang reminded gently, with an unquestionable concern in his voice.
Chaoyang stood up and led the children to their respective rooms. In the night, the small courtyard seemed particularly quiet and peaceful.
Fen Hua and Xue Yang, arranged by Chao Yang, each entered their own room. The room was warm and comfortable, filled with a homely atmosphere. Fen Hua lay in bed, gazing out the window at the starry sky, his heart filled with longing for the future. He knew that from now on, he would no longer be alone; he would write his own story together with these new friends.
As the night deepened, the entire courtyard was immersed in tranquility. Fireflies flickered in the night sky, as if telling touching stories. This small courtyard, this warm home, would become a permanent haven in their hearts.
