Demonic Dao Fanfiction: Protecting You from Worries for a Lifetime
Chapter 14 Comfort, Worship
It was not until the next morning when the sunlight shone through the gaps in the curtains and onto Wei Ying's face that he slowly opened his eyes and woke up from his sleep.
Then he sat on the bed blankly, gazing at the warm sunlight outside the window, his heart filled with mixed emotions. The scene of spending time with his parents last night was still vivid in his mind, but he knew that today his parents were already far away, gone forever. He only had his uncle, and he was his only relative.
Chaoyang pushed the door open and walked in, holding a bowl of hot porridge in his hand. Seeing that he was awake, he smiled gently: "Aying, are you awake? Come, eat something, you will feel better."
Wei Ying stared at Chao Yang blankly, "Uncle, good morning. I'm sorry for making you worry yesterday."
Chaoyang gently placed the porridge on the small table beside the bed, sat down next to Wei Ying, stroked his hair, and said softly, "Aying, take care of yourself, otherwise your uncle will be worried, and your parents will be worried too."
He forced a smile, nodded, took the porridge from Chaoyang, and drank it in small sips. The warmth of the porridge spread from the tip of his tongue to the bottom of his heart, as if it also warmed his heart, which was cold due to the loss of his loved ones.
Life will not stop because of your sadness. You have to cheer up and face the future. You cannot always indulge in the pain of the past. You must bravely look forward and live your own wonderful life.
Chaoyang watched Wei Ying gradually recover his spirits and felt relieved. He rubbed his head and looked at A Ying who was drinking porridge. He didn't want Wei Ying to be immersed in the pain of losing his relatives. His face was full of sadness. A smile should be on his face.
"Aying, your parents in heaven will definitely be proud of you." Chaoyang said softly, his eyes full of encouragement and expectation.
Wei Ying nodded, a surge of strength rising within him. His parents were gone, but their love and expectations would always be with him. He would strive to become someone he could make his parents proud of, and live up to their expectations.
Chaoyang stood up, walked to the window, and opened the curtains, letting the sunlight fill the room. He turned to Wei Ying and said, "Aying, your parents hope that you can soar freely and shine with your own unique light." Chaoyang whispered, "You must remember, no matter what difficulties you encounter, you must face them bravely. Don't let anyone, not even your uncle, stand in your way."
Wei Ying nodded, "Uncle, I will try my best." Although Wei Ying's voice was weak, it was full of determination.
Chaoyang smiled with relief, knowing that Wei Ying had gradually come out of his grief and was beginning to face reality. He gently patted Wei Ying's shoulder and said, "Aying, you should rest well first. Uncle will go take care of some things. When you recover, we will go out for a walk together and see the beauty of this world."
But Wei Ying didn't respond. He simply stood up, walked to his desk, spread out the rice paper, and picked up his brush to write. The tip of his pen lightly touched the paper, and the ink slowly spread, as if the unfinished words in his heart were being expressed through each stroke. He wrote: "When parents are alive, life still has a place to go; when parents are gone, life only has a way back. However, the way back is not a dead end. I will carry my parents' love and move forward courageously, making the most of this life."
Chaoyang stood aside, watching Wei Ying write quietly, his eyes full of approval.
He patted Wei Ying's shoulder gently, then stood up and said, "Come on, Ah Ying, let's go for a walk outside and breathe some fresh air."
The two walked out of the house, the sun shining on them, warm and bright. Wei Ying looked up at the blue sky, and a sense of strength gradually rose in his heart.
His parents had passed away, but he still had his uncle by his side, and a future waiting for him to explore. Wei Ying took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of the sun, and a firm belief gradually surged in his heart.
They walked slowly along the path. Chaoyang pointed to the mountains in the distance and said, "Aying, look at those peaks over there. They've weathered storms and winds, yet they still stand tall. You should be like them. No matter what difficulties you encounter, you must face them bravely."
Wei Ying nodded. He understood that his uncle's words were not only encouragement to him, but also expectations for his future.
They continued walking until they came to a meadow filled with wildflowers. Chaoyang stopped, plucked a small flower, and handed it to Wei Ying: "Aying, this flower is for you. It represents hope and vitality. You must be like it, thriving no matter when and where you are." Wei Ying took the flower. He gently stroked the petals, and a warm feeling welled up in his heart.
At noon, on a bright, sunny day, Chaoyang led Wei Ying to a quiet and solemn room. A solemn atmosphere permeated the room, as if time had stood still. In the center of the room sat two spirit tablets, inscribed with the words "Cangse Sanren" and "Wei Changze." These were Wei Ying's parents, long deceased. Chaoyang gestured for Wei Ying to kneel and offer his respect and remembrance before the tablets.
Chaoyang whispered to Wei Ying, "Whenever you miss father and mother, come here and talk to them. Although they cannot respond to you, their souls will feel your longing and know your feelings." Wei Ying nodded, tears flashing in his eyes. He knelt deeply in front of the spirit tablet, clasped his hands together, and prayed silently, his heart filled with endless longing and gratitude for his parents.
Chaoyang was also quietly accompanying him.
