Chapter 46 House of Evolution

Though it was called an interrogation, Lin Zhenxi was actually prying open the Iron Gorilla's mind through its eyes, casually browsing its memories. She posed a question, and memories related to it naturally emerged within the Iron Gorilla's mind. Lin Zhenxi then used Legilimency to directly reveal the details she desired. Unlike verbal descriptions, which are closely tied to one's knowledge and can be distorted due to a limited vocabulary, flashes of memory are infallible and far more convenient to observe than confessions or even video recordings.

After reading through Iron Gorilla's memories, Lin Zhenxi had a clear understanding of the monster organization "House of Evolution" that planned this attack.

Their fate began with the mosquito girl who intended to suck the blood of the people of City Z dry. The mosquito girl was released by the "House of Evolution" to test the depths of City Z. However, the mosquito girl never even reached the edge of City Z. While passing through the abandoned city, she was killed by Hayashi Maki and Saitama, who lived there. This left the mastermind behind the "House of Evolution" feeling deeply humiliated. More importantly, the "House of Evolution" failed to obtain the data they sought, and instead, their massively wasted resources and the mosquito army were wasted. This directly led to a cash flow crisis for the "House of Evolution," a group of eccentrics within the organization, and the doctor who led it, lived on coarse food for a long time before they could recover.

After recovering, the "House of Evolution" immediately organized this revenge operation. Led by the two major figures in the organization, the second-ranked Beast King and the third-ranked Iron Gorilla, they brought a group of minions with special skills and rushed straight to the residence of Saitama and Hayashi Maki.

The original target was Hayashi Maki and Saitama, with Beast King and Iron Gorilla each targeting one. However, the monsters hadn't anticipated that Hayashi Maki's apartment was protected by a magical formation. From the outside, the top floor of Hayashi's apartment looked like a completely empty, unfinished building.

Since they couldn't find Hayashi Maki, the two groups of monsters had to come together to cause trouble for Saitama, which led to the scene three chapters ago where the monster minions challenged Saitama downstairs of his house.

Then, I would like to dedicate a song of coolness to all the weirdos in the House of Evolution, wishing them a bright future after their souls return to heaven and are reincarnated.

Aside from the knowledgeable Iron Gorilla, who was left behind to lead the way, Lin Zhenxi casually asked the remaining eccentrics a few questions before conveniently killing them to prevent future trouble. These eccentrics in the "House of Evolution" were all genetically modified animals, so even though they now possessed intelligence, Lin Zhenxi had no need to show any mercy when it came to killing them. They were just a bunch of talking beasts, so he killed them anyway.

After digging a pit and burying the bodies of all the monsters, they sprinkled a few tree seeds on top, cast magic to clean the blood of the Lion King on the street, and repaired the potholes caused by the battle, Lin Zhenxi and Saitama set out together, led by Iron Gorilla, and headed towards the base of the House of Evolution.

This Iron Gorilla had completely given in. Its will to survive was incredibly strong. As long as it wasn't killed, it would do anything. Especially after seeing Lin Zhenxi casually crush all of its men to death, it would never dare to go west if told to go east, and would never dare to kick if told to step forward. It was even more obedient than a trained dog in a zoo.

Even though the Iron Gorilla had completely surrendered, in a head-on battle, Lin Zhenxi was probably no match for the gorilla. Lin Zhenxi counted the magic spells in his hand and realized, somewhat awkwardly, that even his clever magic was unlikely to penetrate the defenses of the gorilla, whose physique was as hard as... well, even harder than steel. Even if the gorilla didn't have the immunity granted by the Mystical Abilities, its vigorous vitality would still negate most of the effects of Lin Zhenxi's magic.

Using force to defeat cleverness will never go out of style. If a punch doesn't break something, it means your force is not strong enough.

Saitama is a typical example of this. Hayashi Maki doesn't know if Saitama knows martial arts, but whenever she sees him, he always throws a simple punch. Although it has no technical content, it can just blow up the enemy, and then all problems are solved. After all, the source of the problem has been eliminated, and the rest of the remedial work is not his responsibility.

The two men's extraordinary physiques were evident as they hurried along. Lin Zhenxi could barely keep up at first, but it was obvious that Iron Gorilla and Saitama were taking care of her. Even so, she found the effort overwhelming. Finally, she simply gave up and pulled the two parts of her flying broom from the space cube, screwed them together, leaned sideways, and took flight.

"Uncle, you go first, I will follow you." After Lin Zhenxi said this, he flew high into the sky.

Saitama looked at Lin Maki who was gradually flying away, and sighed, "It's really convenient to be able to fly." He turned his head and saw the Iron Gorilla's eyes were as big as copper bells, staring stupidly at the back of Lin Maki, who had gradually turned into a black dot in the sky.

"She...how did she fly? Was she using a broom? Why could she fly?" The Iron Gorilla had a hundred thousand questions.

Saitama hit the gorilla on the head with a knife, making it stagger and almost fall to the ground.

"You ask me, who should I ask? I still want to know. Stop talking nonsense and lead the way."

The Iron Gorilla rubbed his head and nodded rapidly, not daring to lose his temper. He didn't even dare to get angry right now. He should leave this tough guy to the toughest weirdo in the base. It had nothing to do with him anyway. He was just a ruthless guide now, and his own survival was the most important thing.

Without Lin Zhenxi as a drag, the two non-humans could finally unleash their unbridled speed. While Iron Gorilla's size and body didn't appear to be the fastest runner, it was a super-gorilla, a result of genetic and mechanized transformation. Powered by its multiple energy reactors, its stamina was limitless. A single stride could cover several meters, surpassing even a car, let alone a racehorse. Saitama, on the other hand, was even more worried about Iron Gorilla's ability to hold up. If he weren't so anxious, he'd be worried about whether he could hold up Iron Gorilla. He could outrun it even with it.

Lin Zhenxi used Eagle Eye Technique from high altitude to see the two below starting to speed up, so he also filled the magic broom under him with magic power, maintaining a speed almost the same as Saitama, and moving up and down with the two below towards the base of the "House of Evolution".

With the Iron Gorilla running at full speed, they soon plunged into the primeval forest next to City Z. Once in the forest, the Iron Gorilla seemed to have unleashed its natural instincts, climbing the towering trees and swinging back and forth. Its speed actually increased compared to when it was just in the open area.

Saitama then became like a ghost. No matter how fast Iron Gorilla swung, Saitama's figure would always follow him at a leisurely pace. He could just turn his head and see the instantly recognizable bald head, yellow clothes, and white cape. This ruthlessly shattered the psychological advantage Iron Gorilla had regained on his home turf, extinguishing any thoughts of playing tricks and turning him into a timid and honest person again.

The base of "House of Evolution" is built in the mountain, and the gate is covered with a layer of holographic projection that is so virtual that it is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. If it were not for the Iron Gorilla leading the way, no one else would be able to find this monster base hidden so deeply in the vast forest and deep mountains.

But finding it would be easy. According to Iron Gorilla, the "House of Evolution" wasn't very well-established, with only three truly capable cyborgs. He and Beastmaster were second and third among them, with the rest being lesser-known. With Beastmaster and all his minions except Iron Gorilla now dead, the "House of Evolution" was in an unprecedented state of weakness. The "Doctor" had no one else around him besides Number One. In other words, all they needed was to eliminate the "Doctor" and Number One, and the "House of Evolution" would be annihilated.

Of the remaining two targets, "The Doctor" is a pure scientific researcher. While he possesses formidable research capabilities and is the founder of the "House of Evolution," he's also quite weak. Iron Gorilla has never seen The Doctor demonstrate any combat prowess. Therefore, the only real challenge left to be solved is the number one genetically modified freak.

"Asura Rhinoceros Beetle"

The Asura Rhinoceros Beetle is also the strongest cyborg in the House of Evolution. Despite the Beast King's arrogance in front of the Iron Gorilla, the Iron Gorilla describes the Asura Rhinoceros Beetle as having completely surpassed their level, entering a realm even higher. The Iron Gorilla doesn't even dare stand next to the Asura Rhinoceros Beetle; the mere presence it exudes makes the Iron Gorilla feel breathless.

"If it wants to kill me, I might not survive for more than a second." Iron Gorilla used such a simple example to describe the power of the No. 1 in the House of Evolution.

And now, this powerful genetically modified monster is waiting for the arrival of Saitama and Hayashi Maki behind that illusion and that heavy steel gate.

After hearing Iron Gorilla's description, Saitama was slightly tempted. He sounded like a formidable foe, and he hoped he wouldn't disappoint him.
