The moment Enzo sensed something was wrong, the long-lost burning sensation in his chest suddenly erupted.

He gasped, holding his chest with one hand, and cold sweat almost instantly soaked his forehead. It felt like someone had lit a fire in his chest, and the pain was mixed with a certain resonance, as if something in the distance was calling him.

"Sissi..."

The name slipped from his lips, and Enzo knelt on the ground. The Qilin tattoo appeared on his chest, glowing faintly red. Then came a second wave of pain, more intense than the first. He bit his lower lip tightly, and blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

The moonlight from the Peach Blossom Land outside the window shone like water into this simple yet warm room. Enzo opened his eyes, his amber pupils reflecting the moonlight, yet clearer than the moonlight itself. He stared at his palms. The Qilin tattoo stretched from his chest to his fingertips, gleaming like ancient runes in the moonlight.

Enzo was no fool; he had been through a lot. The moment the Heart of Poseidon and the Mirror of the Void resonated within Rosie, he understood everything.

"I see..." he muttered, his voice as dry as a lock that hadn't been opened for a century. "So I'm the last piece of the puzzle."

Enzo chuckled softly, but the sound was like gravel rubbing against his heart, stinging him. He looked up at the bright moon outside the window, as if speaking to a nonexistent shadow in the void.

"Jiusi, did you know this a long time ago? That's why you..." His words stopped abruptly, and the pain in his chest came again.

He is the seventh sacred object: the Qilin Heart.

Enzo walked to the window, the moonlight casting a shadowy shadow on his silhouette. The secrets within his body were revealed, and all the pieces about the meaning of his existence, about why Jiusi had done what he had done, suddenly came together.

"So my existence... has been for this moment from the beginning?" Enzo closed his eyes and accepted this cruel fact.

An irony of fate. Jiusi killed Lain, only to be killed by Rosie himself. Now, seeking atonement for his sins, he stays by Rosie's side, only to discover he holds the key to Lain's resurrection. The key to uniting all the sacred objects requires the blood of the Qilin and the sacrifice of its heart.

Enzo walked to the desk, took out a piece of paper, and began to write. He had to leave Rosie something, but he couldn't tell her the truth too soon. This sacrifice had to be completed, but he didn't want to burden her with more guilt and pain.

"Perhaps there is another way," Enzo whispered, knowing only that this was self-deception. As a sacred object, the Qilin Heart was destined to resonate with the other six, and this meant his demise.

The communicator on the table suddenly flashed, a message from the medical bay: Kyle's condition had improved, and Rosie was trying to use two holy relics to help him recover.

Enzo clenched his fists. Every time Rosie used the power of the relics, the resonance in his body grew stronger. This meant that time was running out. The gravitational pull of the seven relics was growing, and the gears of fate had begun to turn.

……

Mike's figure appeared at the hatchway, his stance erect and military-like, like a javelin. His short blond hair was neatly styled, but fatigue was hidden in his blue eyes. He had led his men in combat readiness for dozens of hours straight, and even the physique of a ninth-level psychic was a bit exhausted.

Rosie looked up and stood up from Kyle's bedside. "How's Atlantis?"

Mike knocked on the doorframe with one hand and entered the medical bay. "There's progress in Orlando, but it's not as optimistic as you might think." He handed over a data tablet. It displayed a 3D map of the underwater city-state, with red and blue areas interlaced, like some kind of virus fighting for territory. "The Sea King has recaptured three key areas, but the Kun Clan has fully armed the area surrounding the palace."

"Where's Tim?" Kyle asked weakly. He tried to prop up his upper body, but Rosie pushed him back.

"That slippery fish escaped." Mike frowned. "We captured his signal at the edge of the vortex of different time and space, and then... disappeared." He paused. "This is not ordinary technology, more like some kind of..."

"Spatial power," Rosie replied, the Heart of Poseidon on her chest glowing faintly. Since merging with the Void Mirror, her perception of spatial fluctuations has become tenfold more acute.

Mike nodded. "He might be studying the holy artifact on you."

Rosie turned to another suspended medical display, where a faint but steady pulse of life flashed. Blue dots of light rose and fell in the void, depicting existence like an electrocardiogram.

"What's the state of Lain's soul?"

Mike approached the screen, his finger sliding across the data stream. "The Seagod Pearl's protective effect is weakening. According to calculations, we only have a window of opportunity of about ten days."

Rosie bit her lower lip. Ten days to find the seventh relic, gather enough energy, and perform the resurrection ritual. The clock was ticking.

"We need to speed up." Kyle sat up in pain, the bandage on his chest seeping a little blood, but he stubbornly maintained a straight back like a soldier, "Otherwise, everything will be in vain."

Rosie gently placed her hand on Kyle's shoulder. "You need to rest."

"Sissi, you know better than me," Kyle caught the hesitation in her eyes, "If Lain's soul dissipates, even if we gather all the relics, it will be useless."

Mike coughed, breaking the brief silence. "One more thing." He hesitated, "Kun Clan assassins have infiltrated the outskirts of Taoyuan Star. Lingyuan has strengthened its defenses, but..."

Rosie's eyes narrowed. "Children?"

"Safe," Mike replied quickly. "Fan Xiao is guarding them personally. Xuan Qi and Xing Yu have set up a triple barrier around them."

Rosie breathed a sigh of relief, but then her nerves tensed up again. "They're tracking the relic."

"It's mainly you." Mike looked directly at Rosie, "You are their main target now."

There were soft footsteps outside the door, and Enzo appeared. His dark hair and amber eyes reflected the dim light in the room, making them appear particularly profound. He stood there quietly, as if he had something to say but didn't know how to start.

"Enzo, do you have any new clues about the seventh holy relic?" Rosie asked softly. She noticed that his chest was rising and falling unnaturally, as if he was suppressing something.

Enzo's hand unconsciously touched his chest, his eyes flickering. "I need more time to confirm."

Mike's communicator suddenly buzzed, and his expression changed slightly when he answered it. "The Kun Tribe has launched an attack on the southeastern defense line. I have to go back and coordinate."

Rosie nodded: "Go ahead."

After the medical cabin door closed, the space fell into silence.

After Kyle fell back asleep, Rosie turned to Enzo. "You're hiding something from me."

This is not a question.

Enzo looked at her with a complicated expression, the Kirin tattoo beneath his palm burning. Every time the sacred object resonated, the truth came closer, and the truth meant his disappearance.

"Sissi." He called her with an unusual intimacy, "If finding the seventh holy object requires..."

Rosie's eyes narrowed, and a terrible intuition exploded in her heart. "Enzo, are you hiding something from me?"

Although it was Jiusi that made her and the people around her go through so many disasters, every wrong has its perpetrator.

She would not blame Enzo for Jiusi's mistakes.

"It's just a hypothesis," Enzo interrupted quickly, forcing a dry laugh. "I'll look up the records of the Qilin legend. Maybe I can find some clues."

He turned to leave, but Rosie grabbed his wrist. Her grip wasn't strong, but it was like an iron clamp, holding him back from moving.

"Tell me the truth." Rosie's voice was firm, with a gleam in her eyes that would not be rejected. "No matter how cruel it is."

Enzo turned around, their eyes meeting. At that moment, the truth nearly spilled from his lips—he was the Seventh Sacred Relic, and he was about to be sacrificed. But in the end, he simply shook his head.

"not the right time yet."

The moonlight from Taoyuan Star was as cold as a knife, slicing at Enzo's retreating figure. He strode out of the medical bay, the Qilin tattoo on his chest throbbing wildly, each beat a crisscross of life and pain.

The night wind blew through his black hair as he looked up at the sky. The distant stars watched indifferently, witnessing the awakening of power within him.

"Nine thoughts."

He whispered to the void, his voice shattered on the night wind. He waited, as if he could actually get a response from the deceased.

There was only silence. Eternal silence.

Amber eyes flashed with determination, Enzo bit his lower lip and continued forward. Each step brought him closer to the end, the predetermined outcome.

The Qilin Heart beats within its chest, no longer a human rhythm, but an ancient, mystical cadence. When it fully awakens, it will become the final holy relic, paving the way for Rosie to resurrect Lain.

"Atonement is also redemption."

The whispers faded, unheard.

Enzo stood on the high ground, overlooking the medical area. Rosie was still inside, guarding the seriously injured Kyle. Unbeknownst to them, he was the seventh sacred object they had been searching for.

"Heart of the Qilin." Enzo gently stroked his chest, feeling the power coursing through his veins. "Jiusi, you already knew this, right?"
