Xingyu slowly opened his eyes. The confusion in his amber pupils dissipated like morning mist, gradually becoming clear. He saw Luo Xi guarding the bedside, her eyes red and swollen, obviously she had been crying.

"Xixi..." Xingyu spoke, her voice a little hoarse, like sandpaper rubbing against rough wood.

Luo Xi heard the sound and raised her head suddenly. Tears still hung on her eyelashes, like dewdrops on leaves in the morning. She rushed over in surprise, but was afraid of hurting Xingyu, so she held him carefully. "You're awake! How are you feeling? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Xingyu tried to sit up, but felt weak, as if his body had been drained of strength and was limp. Luo Qian quickly supported him and let him lean against the headboard, her movements as gentle as if she were protecting a fragile treasure.

"I'm fine." Xingyu looked at Luo Xi, a hint of tenderness in his eyes. He raised his hand, wanting to wipe away Luo Xi's tears, but found that he almost didn't have the strength to raise his hand.

Luo Xi held Xingyu's hand, feeling his weak body temperature, and couldn't hold back her tears any longer, and burst out: "You are like this, and you still say it's okay."

"I'm really okay." Xingyu smiled, a weak smile that held a hint of comfort, "I'm just a little tired."

Luo Xi looked at his pale face and felt as if she was being pricked by a needle. She knew that Xingyu must be enduring the pain.

Xingyu looked at Luo Xi and said softly, "Xixi, I want to take you to a place."

"Where?" Rosie asked, wiping her tears.

"The place where I grew up." Xingyu's voice was soft, with a hint of nostalgia.

Luo Xi nodded and didn't ask any further questions. She knew that Xingyu must have his reasons.

The two quietly left the temple without disturbing anyone. Luo Xi supported Xing Yu and slowly walked towards the depths of the back mountain. Although Xing Yu was weak, he was in good spirits. Along the way, he pointed the way for Luo Xi, occasionally stopping to point at the plants on the roadside and tell Luo Xi their names and habits.

Xingyu's voice was low and gentle. Luo Qian listened quietly, feeling the tranquility and peace of the forest.

Finally, they arrived at the valley that Xingyu had mentioned.

The valley was small, but tranquil. Tall trees surrounded it, completely shading it. Sunlight filtered through the gaps between the branches, casting dappled spots of light like twinkling stars.

In the center of the valley, there is a clear lake with emerald green water, like a huge emerald. Around the lake, there grow all kinds of flowers and plants, colorful and beautiful.

"This place... is so beautiful." Luo Xi couldn't help but sigh.

Xingyu smiled, with a hint of pride in her smile: "Yes, this place is beautiful. When I was a child, I often played here."

He walked to the lake and sat down on a rock, and Rosie followed suit.

Xingyu looked at the lake with a dazed look in his eyes, as if he was recalling something.

He spoke slowly, his voice very soft, as if he was afraid to disturb the tranquility, "I have no friends, no family... only this valley, to accompany me..."

Luo Xi's heart trembled slightly. She knew that Xingyu must have many stories and many unknown secrets.

"What happened next?" Luo Xi asked softly, her voice soft as a feather, gently falling on Xingyu's heart.

"Later..." Xingyu's mouth curled up slightly, but his eyes dimmed, like stars covered by dark clouds, "Later... I met you..."

Luo Xi's cheeks flushed red like ripe apples. She felt Xingyu was flirting with her, but she had no proof. Xingyu was usually so aloof, like an immortal, and suddenly saying something like that was too much to handle.

Luo Xi's eyes were evasive, not daring to look Xingyu in the eye, like a frightened deer. Her fair earlobes were stained with a light pink, like peach blossoms in early spring, tender and juicy.

Xingyu looked at Luo Xi's reaction, a smile flashing in his eyes. He didn't continue to tease her, but changed the subject: "The plants here are the healing elixir of the Beast Temple. I was often injured when I was a child, and I relied on them to survive."

Only then did Rosie notice that the plants in the valley were the same kind of leaves that Caesar had brought back. She could sense that these plants contained a powerful vitality, more intense than any plants she had ever seen.

Luo Qian looked at Xingyu, her eyes filled with heartache. She gently held Xingyu's hand, feeling his cool warmth at her fingertips. An indescribable warmth flowed quietly between the two of them.

"Kyle's condition has stabilized, and you're awake now. Let's go back," Rosie suggested. She was worried about Kyle and wanted to go back and see him as soon as possible.

Xingyu nodded and didn't refuse. He knew that Rosie was worried about Kyle and him as well.

The two stood up and prepared to leave.

Luo Xi supported Xing Yu and walked slowly out of the valley. Although Xing Yu was weak, he was in good spirits. He looked at Luo Xi with tenderness in his eyes.

They didn't notice that in the shadows of the valley, a pair of eyes were silently watching them.

……

Luo Xi and others left the Beast Temple. A figure emerged from the water and stood quietly on the water.

Laing watched them go away. His long, seaweed-blue hair drooped limply over his shoulders, making his face look even paler.

His eyes were dim, like two gems that had lost their luster, empty and confused.

"Do you want to get her?" A mysterious voice suddenly sounded in Rhine's mind, with temptation and bewitchment, like a whisper from hell.

Laing's eyes were calm, as still as a pool of stagnant water. A faint smile played at the corner of his mouth, as if he didn't care about the voice at all, or as if he was laughing at his own wishful thinking.

"This method is useless against a dying man," Rein said softly, a hint of sarcasm and disdain in his tone. He waved his hand lightly, and the mysterious voice disappeared in an instant, as if it had never appeared.

Laing slowly closed his eyes, his long eyelashes casting a shadow under his eyelids, hiding the loneliness in his eyes.
