The weak prince's queen
Chapter 46 Dreaming of Grandma
"Grandma..." Chu Xiyue looked at the person in front of her who she had been thinking about day and night. Tears welled up in her eyes with excitement and she shouted these two words in a choked voice.
"Yue'er..." Grandma still called Chu Xiyue kindly and gently as usual.
"Grandma, I really miss you!" Chu Xiyue happily threw herself into her grandma's arms, hugged her tightly, and felt the warmth in her grandma's embrace.
Grandma smiled and gently stroked her hair, her eyes full of love and care.
"Grandma, I've been very unhappy recently. I traveled here inexplicably. Lin Ruoxue is also a poor girl. She was always bullied in the Lin Mansion. Although I am in the palace now, my life is not easy either." Chu Xiyue poured out all the grievances in her heart to her grandmother.
"Is that prince not good to you?" Grandma asked with concern.
Chu Xiyue thought seriously for a moment and then replied, "Actually, he's not that bad. It's just that we don't communicate much, and I don't feel free here."
"Did the prince do anything bad or mistreat Yue'er?" Grandma continued to ask.
"Well...it seems not." Chu Xiyue recalled the moments she spent with the prince and found that he had not done anything excessive.
"That's good. People are all made of flesh and blood. Grandma believes that Yue'er will be able to win the prince's heart." Grandma encouraged.
"But grandma, Yue'er doesn't want to stay here anymore." Chu Xiyue frowned tightly, her tone full of grievance and helplessness.
Grandma looked at her with concern and asked softly, "Is there any way for Yue'er to go back?"
Chu Xiyue shook her head, her eyes dimming with a hint of despair. "Not yet."
Grandma patted her hand gently and said softly, "Then Yue'er, just let nature take its course. Whatever comes your way, make the best of it. God has his own plans. Just follow your heart."
Chu Xiyue raised her head, tears glistening in her eyes, and said coquettishly: "But Yue'er is so tired..."
Grandma took her into her arms and coaxed her softly, "Good things take time, Yue'er, you have to be patient."
Chu Xiyue nodded, leaned in her grandmother's arms, and responded obediently: "Okay, I'll listen to you, grandma."
Grandma smiled and gently stroked her hair, her eyes full of affection.
After a while, grandma whispered, "Yue'er, grandma is leaving."
Chu Xiyue suddenly raised her head and shouted in panic: "Ah? Grandma, don't leave. Stay with Yue'er."
Grandma touched her face lovingly, sighed, and slowly stood up.
"Grandma is gone, I hope the moon is well." Grandma said as she floated away.
"Grandma... Grandma..." Chu Xiyue kept trying to grab her grandma with her hands, but she couldn't.
"Grandma... don't go, grandma..." Chu Xiyue kept shouting.
Dong'er, who was standing outside, heard the noises coming from the inner room. Her heart tightened, and she quickly pushed the door open and walked in. She immediately saw Chu Xiyue, sweat dripping from her forehead, her brow furrowed, and her lips trembling, clearly troubled by a dream. She hurried to the bedside and gently called out to Chu Xiyue, "Princess, Princess, wake up," shaking her hand.
"Grandma..." Chu Xiyue woke up suddenly, her eyes full of fear and anxiety.
"Princess, are you having a nightmare?" Dong'er asked worriedly.
"Dong'er, I dreamed of my grandma." Chu Xiyue murmured to herself, her eyes revealing endless longing.
"Grandma?" Dong'er repeated the name in confusion.
"I miss my grandma. My grandma is gone. I miss her so much. Dong'er... woo woo..." Chu Xiyue could no longer suppress her inner sadness and burst into tears. Tears flowed out of her eyes like a flood, soaking the pillow.
"Sister Yue, don't cry, don't be sad. Grandma must miss you too, so she came to see you in the dream. You must be well." Dong'er comforted Chu Xiyue with heartache, and at the same time reached out and patted her back gently.
"Wuwu..." Chu Xiyue was still immersed in grief, unable to extricate herself. She recalled the good times she had spent with her grandmother, but those warm memories now became sharp blades that pierced her heart.
After crying for a long time, Chu Xiyue finally came to her senses. She slowly stopped crying, wiped the tears from her face with her sleeve, took a deep breath, and tried to calm herself down.
"Thank you, Dong'er. I'm much better now." Chu Xiyue looked at Dong'er gratefully, her voice still a little hoarse.
"Princess, you're welcome. As long as I can make you feel better, I will be relieved." Dong'er responded with a smile.
