Zhongyuan Company!

Among the nine foreign concessions in Tianjin, the Japanese concession was the closest to Tianjin's traditional commercial centers such as Sanchahekou and Dongmenwai.

No. 7 Luxu Street, which was transformed from Haida Avenue, and Beixu Street, which was built immediately afterwards, were the most prosperous roads in the Japanese Concession.

Beixu Street is adjacent to Nanshi and is the area with the closest connection between the concession and the Chinese area.

At the intersection of Asahi Street and Fukushima Street stands the tallest building in the Japanese Concession!

This is Tianjin Zhongyuan Company.

The investors of Zhongyuan Company were mainly Huang Wenqian and Lin Shoutian, who had management experience in Hong Kong and Shanghai Xinshi Company, and Lin Ziyuan, a businessman living in Japan.

The Central Plains Company Building was designed by three famous designers of the time, Guan Songsheng, Zhu Bin, and Yang Kuanlin, and was put to the bidding for construction by the Fuxing Engineering Company. It referred to the blueprints of major department stores in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and also borrowed the advantages of Western classical commercial buildings and modern architecture. The facade is simple and elegant, the tower is tall and straight, the building area is 9164 square meters, and the building is 30 meters high. It was the tallest building in Tianjin at that time, and it really had the domineering aura of "competing for the Central Plains".

On January 1, 1928, the Zhongyuan Company officially opened. The opening was a huge event, attracting tens of thousands of people and causing traffic jams. To avoid accidents, they had to implement a ticket system, which cost 10 cents and served as a shopping voucher. Sales that day reached 15,000 silver yuan, creating a sensation.

Later, department stores in Shanghai also imitated the model of Zhongyuan Company!

Zhongyuan Department Store set up a special entertainment department. In addition to the first and second floors which still sold general merchandise, the third floor was converted into a circus, the fourth floor into a cinema, a review opera theater, and a civilized theater, the fifth floor into the Zhongyuan Grand Theater, and the sixth floor into a restaurant. The Paris Dance Hall was set up on the rooftop garden, making it the "Paramount" of Tianjin in that era.

The famous stand-up comedy "Bai Zongwei falls from the building" took place here!

After the January 28 Incident, the anti-Japanese patriotic movement was on the rise, and the Zhongyuan Company, which mainly dealt in Japanese goods, became very deserted.

Today, the third and fourth floors of Zhongyuan Company have become a prison for patriots!

This was also Lin Mu’s first time in Tianjin, and he didn’t know much about the history of Zhongyuan Company!

I just know that this is the tallest building in Tianjin!

It was already past two o'clock in the morning, but the lights were still on in the senior management of Zhongyuan Company.

Except for the first and second floors which are department stores, the upper floors are now basically occupied by Tianjin’s foot basin chicken!

The influence of the "Foot Basin Chicken" in Tianjin is far greater than that in Shanghai.

Backed by the Kwantung Army of the puppet Manchukuo, many places in Tianjin have become areas controlled by the puppet Manchukuo.

Lin Mu stood in the dim light downstairs, looked up at the brightly lit Zhongyuan Company, and a hint of excitement appeared in his eyes!

When in Shanghai, Lin Mu always felt constrained!

But after arriving in Tianjin, Lin Mu felt that the beast in his heart could no longer be restrained!

Lin Mu felt unsatisfied after dressing up as Chang Lian'an and killing Yuan Wenhui.

Seeing the red-glowing chickens on the feet of the senior executives of Zhongyuan Company, Lin Mu suddenly felt his blood burning!

[Ding, congratulations to the host. Your first performance in Tianjin was an unprecedented success, earning high recognition from Tianjin opera fans. Rewards: Bone-Dissolving Palm Mastery, 10 Large Yellow Croakers, 5000 points.]

Just when Lin Mu was about to enter Zhongyuan Company, the system's reward finally arrived!

Bone-turning cotton palm!

When Lin Mu saw this reward, his eyes suddenly lit up!

Anyone who has watched Stephen Chow’s “The Deer and the Cauldron” will remember this terrifying palm technique!

Lin Mu was a little tired of chopping off people's heads with a knife. He always felt that this way of death was too merciful for the chicken!
