Heart Stealer

Chapter 58 Adventure on the Island

A few days later, Xiao Tuobang returned to the countryside with a simple luggage and embarked on a journey to find Sufang.

Xiao Tuobang rented a slightly worn but still sturdy boat and went to the depths of the vast ocean to look for Sufang.

At the beginning, the sea was calm and the sunlight shone on the sparkling water, like countless tiny diamonds sparkling and jumping.

However, the good times did not last long.

The weather at sea is unpredictable. Just a moment ago, the sky was clear and cloudless. In the blink of an eye, it was covered with dark clouds and strong winds.

The thick clouds were like a huge black curtain, quickly covering the entire sea surface.

Xiao Tuobang gripped the oar tightly, trying to control the direction of the boat.

The big raindrops hit his body, causing pain, but Xiao Tuobang didn't care. He had only one thought in his mind, which was to find Sufang as soon as possible.

The wind and waves on the sea became more and more violent. Wave after wave of huge waves were like ferocious beasts, pouncing towards Xiao Tuobang's fragile boat with bared fangs and claws.

The boat was tossing up and down, swaying from side to side in the raging waves, as if it might be swallowed into the endless abyss at any time.

But even so, Xiao Tuobang still gritted his teeth and tried his best to control the boat, struggling forward in the waves, not letting it deviate from the set course.

After an unknown amount of time and countless life-and-death tests, Xiao Tuobang's boat finally slowly approached an isolated island.

Xiao Tuobang couldn't wait to drop the anchor chain, jump off the boat, and land on this island full of unknowns.

As soon as he got ashore, Xiao Tuobang began to anxiously search for Sufang. However, the scene before him made his heart sink to the bottom.

The island looked desolate and silent. There was no sign of life on the empty beach except for some shells and messy branches washed ashore by the waves.

Xiao Tuobang felt a sense of loss, but he did not give up.

He walked along the coastline, hoping to find some clues.

As he walked, he called Sufang's name, but got no response.

Just when he was feeling desperate, he suddenly saw a small house in the distance and decided to go and check it out.

When he approached the hut, he found the door ajar. He pushed the door open and saw it was filled with various items, but there was still no sign of Sufang.

Just as he was about to leave, he noticed a note on the table which read: "I'll wait for you on the other side of the island." A glimmer of hope ignited in Xiao Tuobang's heart, and he immediately ran to the other side of the island.

Xiao Tuobang ran all the way and soon arrived at the other end of the island.

However, there was only the endless sea and the loud noise of the surging waves hitting the rocks, and there was no one else in sight.

He looked around, feeling a little confused.

At this moment, Xiao Tuobang remembered the note in his hand, and quickly unfolded it and read it carefully.

The handwriting on the note was strong and sharp, obviously written by a man.

Junior sister, where are you?

Xiao Tuobang frowned tightly, realizing that he might have fallen into a trap.

He began to recall every detail of his acquaintance with his junior sister, trying to find clues.

Suddenly, his eyes stopped on a certain detail on the note, and a glimmer of hope appeared in his heart.

He decided to follow the instructions on the note and go to a cave by the sea.

When he arrived at the cave, he found it was filled with a mysterious atmosphere.

Xiao Tuobang walked into the cave cautiously, and the scene before him surprised him.

I saw a beautiful woman in her thirties tied to a stone pillar, her eyes full of fear and helplessness.

Beside her stood a ferocious-looking stranger with a sly smile on his face.

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap her?" Xiao Tuobang glared at the man angrily.

The man sneered: "It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that you will be able to be with this beauty forever." As he said that, he took out a dagger and put it against the woman's neck.

Xiao Tuobang's heart tightened. He took a step back and said, "Don't hurt her! Just ask for whatever conditions you have!"

"It's simple. As long as you die, I will let her go." A hint of madness flashed in the man's eyes.

Xiao Tuobang was caught in a dilemma.

He had never met the strange woman before, but he couldn't just stand by and watch her die, and he didn't want to give up his own life easily.

Just as he was hesitating, the woman suddenly said, "Don't worry about me! Go away!"

Xiao Tuobang's heart was shaken. He looked at the strange woman, and suddenly he felt a strong sense of justice. His eyes were full of determination. "I won't abandon you!"

Before he finished speaking, he rushed forward and started a fierce fight with the man... Xiao Tuobang was agile and subdued the gangster in a few moves.

He untied the ropes from the woman and asked with concern, "Are you okay?"

The woman looked at him gratefully and shook her head.

After the conversation, Xiao Tuobang learned that the woman's name was Su Jin, and she was an archaeologist. She found some precious cultural relics on the island, but was unexpectedly targeted by criminals.

"Thank you for saving me. These cultural relics are very important to me." Su Jin said.

"It's okay, this is what I should do. But why did this criminal kidnap you?" Xiao Tuobang asked curiously.

Su Jin frowned. "I don't know either. He seems to be here for these cultural relics. But I haven't offended anyone by studying these cultural relics..."

Xiao Tuobang was thoughtful. He felt that things were not that simple.

In order to ensure Su Jin's safety, he decided to escort her back without hesitation.

As soon as the two stepped out of the cave, an archaeological team came rushing over.

"Su Jin, are you okay?" A middle-aged man in the lead asked anxiously and concernedly.

"I'm fine, thanks to this gentleman for saving me." Su Jin pointed at Xiao Tuobang gratefully.

"Thank you, young man. What's your name?" The middle-aged man walked up quickly and shook Xiao Tuobang's hand tightly.

"My name is Xiao Tuobang." Xiao Tuobang replied in a flat tone.

"Mr. Xiao, thank you so much this time. If it weren't for you, we might never see Su Jin again." The middle-aged man was so excited that his eyes were filled with tears, and his voice was a little choked.

"You're welcome. This is what I should do." Xiao Tuobang waved his hand gently with a smile on his face.

"By the way, Su Jin, where are the cultural relics you found?" The middle-aged man suddenly remembered the purpose of this trip.

"In the cave, I'll take you to see it." Su Jin said, leading everyone back to the cave.

Looking at the dazzling array of cultural relics on the ground, the middle-aged man was so excited that he could hardly contain himself. He said excitedly: "This discovery is so important! Su Jin, you have made a great contribution!"

"This is the result of everyone's joint efforts." Su Jin smiled modestly.

Xiao Tuobang followed the archaeological team back to the port.

After receiving the alarm from the archaeological team, the police acted quickly and arranged several fully armed police officers to be on standby at the dock.

When the archaeological team's boat slowly approached the shore, the police immediately rushed forward, firmly controlled the kidnappers and took them away.

Seeing this scene, Xiao Tuobang felt relieved that the big stone in his heart finally fell to the ground. This evil kidnapper finally received the punishment he deserved.

The archaeological team once again expressed their deep gratitude to Xiao Tuobang and warmly invited him to visit their archaeological findings again if he had the opportunity.

Xiao Tuobang smiled and nodded, then turned and left the port.
