Heart Stealer

Chapter 102 Agree to Stay Temporarily

After dinner, Zhang Sufang took the initiative to go to the kitchen to help.

While washing dishes, she was thinking about asking Mrs. Jing to move out of the Jing family.

After washing the dishes, Zhang Sufang was about to leave the kitchen but was stopped by Aunt Mei, a maid of the Jing family.

"Sufang, are you free? I have something to talk to you about." Aunt Mei asked softly, with a hint of worry on her face.

Zhang Sufang looked at Aunt Mei, nodded, and motioned for her to continue.

"My son is getting married this month, and I want to take a leave to go back and help him prepare the banquet. But Mrs. Jing won't approve the leave. She told me to either resign,

"Or find someone to take my place. I'm old, and it's hard to find a job outside. I really have no other choice." Aunt Mei said, tears in her eyes.

After hearing what Aunt Mei said, Zhang Sufang couldn't help but feel deep sympathy.

She knew that Aunt Mei had worked in the Jing family for many years and had always been diligent and responsible in her work.

Now that she was in trouble, Zhang Sufang couldn't just stand by and watch.

"Aunt Mei, don't worry, I will cover your shift until you come back." Zhang Sufang said softly, her tone firm and warm.

Aunt Mei held Zhang Sufang's hand tightly and said excitedly: "Thank you, Sufang. You are such a kind girl. I really don't know how to thank you."

Zhang Sufang smiled slightly and said, "Aunt Mei, it's just a trivial matter, not worth mentioning. If you need any help, please come to me. I'm happy to serve you."

As soon as Zhang Sufang left the kitchen, Jing Tianxin couldn't wait to find Aunt Mei. He asked anxiously, "Aunt Mei, what did Miss Zhang say?"

Aunt Mei smiled and replied, "Master, don't worry, Miss Zhang has agreed to stay and take my shift."

Jingtian was secretly happy, he knew that his plan was half successful.

He looked at Aunt Mei gratefully and said, "Aunt Mei, thank you for your cooperation."

Aunt Mei nodded. She knew that this plan was very important to Young Master Jing.

Aunt Mei is willing to do anything as long as Sufang and Jing Tianxin can be together.

When Jing Tianxin returned to the living room, Zhang Sufang was preparing to go back to her room to rest.

When she saw Jing Tianxin, she couldn't help but tremble slightly.

She didn't know how to face this man; his presence always made her feel uneasy and nervous.

Jing Tianxin didn't seem to notice her abnormality. He walked straight to the sofa and sat down.

Zhang Sufang took the opportunity to quietly leave the living room and returned to her room.

She sat on the edge of the bed, feeling mixed emotions.

She thought about her contributions and efforts in the Jing family, but she never got the rewards she deserved.

She couldn't help feeling a pang of pain when she thought of Jing Tianxin's indifference and ruthlessness towards her.

At this moment, Mrs. Jing walked into her room and handed a thick envelope to Zhang Sufang.

"Sufang, this is the salary you deserved last month." Mrs. Jing said.

Zhang Sufang took the envelope, opened it, and saw that it contained her well-earned salary. She was so excited that she could hardly speak.

"Thank you, Mrs. Jing," Zhang Sufang said gratefully. "I'm really grateful to you."

Mrs. Jing smiled and nodded. "Sufang, you are a good child. I know you have been working hard. I see all your dedication and hard work."

After hearing what Mrs. Jing said, Zhang Sufang felt a warm feeling in her heart.

In this strange place, at least she has someone to rely on.

After Mrs. Jing left, Zhang Sufang's joy did not last long.

She thought of Jing Tianxin's attitude and bad behavior towards her, and she felt lost and depressed again.

Despite this, Zhang Sufang decided to stay in the Jing family and fulfill her duties and obligations until Aunt Mei returned.

The next morning, before it was fully light, Sufang got up early.

She put on simple and plain clothes and prepared to start the day's work.

When she walked into the kitchen, she found that the job that originally belonged to Aunt Mei had been taken over by a strange female worker, who was busy preparing breakfast.

Zhang Sufang walked forward puzzledly and asked, "Hello, who are you? Why do you work here?"

The female worker raised her head and replied with a smile: "I am a part-time worker hired by Master Jing. You can call me Aunt Li."

Zhang Sufang felt disappointed after hearing Aunt Li's answer.

She knew that this meant that Aunt Mei had left the Jing family, and she had lost a friend with whom she could confide.

Zhang Sufang looked at Aunt Li's busy figure and felt hesitant.

She wanted to ask Jing Tianxin why she fired Aunt Mei, but when she thought of his past bad behavior, her feet seemed to be nailed down and she couldn't move.

She was afraid of facing Jing Tianxin's indifference and ruthlessness again, and afraid that she would be hurt completely by his words.

Zhang Sufang decided to give up this idea for the time being.

She turned back to her room, changed her clothes, and then went to work at the Jindu Hotel.

The Jindu Hotel has been extremely busy recently, with wedding banquets being held one after another. Even front desk staff like Zhang Sufang have been transferred to the lobby to serve guests.

She was busy like a top, from morning to night, with almost no rest except for meal times.

After working overtime until eight o'clock in the evening, Zhang Sufang finally finished her day's work with an exhausted body.

When Zhang Sufang walked out of the hotel gate, she saw Jing Tianxin standing at the hotel door at a glance.

Her mood instantly became irritable, and she muttered to herself: Why does this man always appear in my sight? She decided to pretend that she didn't know him and quickened her pace forward.

However, Jing Tianxin followed closely, his steps firm and fast, as if he would not give up until he achieved his goal.

Zhang Sufang felt an inexplicable pressure coming over her, and she had to stop and turn around to face Jing Tianxin.

"Master Jing, why do you always follow me?" There was obvious dissatisfaction and irritability in Zhang Sufang's tone. Her brows were tightly furrowed, and her eyes revealed a hint of disgust.

Jing Tianxin looked at her and frowned slightly. His eyes were deep and firm. "Sufang, I want to talk to you. There are some things between us that need to be resolved."

Zhang Sufang looked at him in confusion. She didn't know what Jingtian was up to, nor did she know what he wanted to talk to her about.

"There's nothing to discuss between us." Zhang Sufang said coldly, with a hint of determination in her voice, "If you're alright, please leave."

Jing Tianxin didn't seem to be planning to give up. He took a step forward and tried to get closer to Zhang Sufang.

Seeing this, Zhang Sufang took a step back in panic, her eyes full of vigilance.

"Don't come over here!" Zhang Sufang shouted loudly, her voice echoing in the air with a hint of trembling.

Jing Tianxin stopped and looked at Zhang Sufang's frightened expression. He realized that his behavior might make her feel scared and uneasy, and he didn't want her to be hurt.

"I'm sorry, Sufang." Jing Tianxin said with great apology, "I just want to talk to you, nothing else. I won't hurt you."

Zhang Sufang frowned unhappily after hearing what he said.

She didn't know how to face Jing Tianxin. She didn't know if he had really changed, or was just playing some new tricks?
