Sheng Xiao Han Yu

Chapter 8 An unexpected encounter

The staircase leading to the rooftop was so polished that Hua Sheng didn't dare to ascend. Carefully, she climbed up, holding the handrail carefully on tiptoe. Arriving at the rooftop, she saw the door open and stepped inside. The decor was just as impressive as the rest of the villa. There were many large-leaved potted plants, Hua Sheng couldn't tell what species they were. There were also maple trees, their leaves crimson, as beautiful as a fiery sunset. Hua Sheng quickly found the dining table that the housekeeper, Uncle Meng, had arranged for him. It was in the center of the rooftop. Beneath a white parasol sat the table and chairs. A vase held a bouquet of wilted flowers. Nearby, an elegant cart held all the necessary items. Hua Sheng took the flowers from the vase and placed them on the tablecloth. She took the vase down to wash it before arranging the flowers. Then, she gathered the flowers and placed them in a large, golden trash can nearby. She then found the tablecloth from the nearby cart and spread it over the table. Then, in order, candlesticks, incense, tableware, wine glasses, and a basket of red wine were placed. On the other side of the table, there was a box. Hua Sheng took it out and opened it. Inside, there were deflated balloons in gold, white, and black, balloon stands, a pump, and ambient lighting. On another level, there was a bouquet of fresh violets, with a long string of lavender violets on the leaves. They weren't particularly expensive flowers, but they were beautiful. Hua Sheng saw a rockery not far away. The water from the rockery flowed cautiously into a pond, where small fish swam happily. Hua Sheng filled a vase with water, put some flowers in it, and placed it on the table.

Next, Hua Sheng would get the balloons. He would sit on the ground and hit them one by one.

At this time, Ouyang Hanyu walked onto the rooftop and headed for the leisure area in the corner behind the dining table. There was a lounge chair there, and next to it was a small round table with his usual tea set on it. When he was free, he could sit down and drink tea while enjoying the scenery. At night, he could watch the twinkling stars in the blue sky. When he passed by the dining table, he saw someone there doing something. He thought it might be Fangfang, and while walking, he suddenly turned back. When he walked over, he saw a small one sitting on the ground, struggling with a bunch of balloons on the ground. No wonder Fangfang's work style seemed to be unwanted, Fangfang usually wouldn't sit on the ground when she worked. This little one had turned whiter after not seeing her for a while, but one thing remained unchanged: she sat on the ground both times she was seen. He hadn't seen her since that time, and he had forgotten that he had such a little cuddle in his house.

"Cough," Ouyang Hanyu coughed deliberately!

With a loud bang, "Ah..." Hua Sheng jumped up in fright, and the inflated balloon burst. Before Hua Sheng could get angry, he saw the uncle he had met that night. He was immediately embarrassed and stood there at a loss.

"What are you doing?" Ouyang Hanyu asked Hua Sheng while looking at the balloons all over the ground.

"I'm blowing up balloons! Uncle, uncle." He was about to call him uncle, but it felt wrong, so he called him uncle. His stuttering and stucked answers didn't make any sense. What was Ouyang Hanyu asking about? You can see when you blow up a balloon.

Ouyang Hanyu saw that the little black tan that he hadn't seen for a few months had changed a lot. Her skin had become so good. And her small eyes had become darker and brighter, as if they could speak. Actually, Hua Sheng's eyes were not small, just the right size, but Ouyang Hanyu liked to use the word "small" to describe her!

"Oh, what do you need balloons for?" He teased her in a child's tone, and Hua Sheng realized what he had said before.

"I don't know. Uncle Meng asked me to prepare it. It must be for my young master's birthday!" Hua Sheng guessed. She'd seen people in the village buy balloons for their children's birthdays, and some for weddings, but the latter was ruled out. She'd been envious then, and she was still envious tonight.

Chapter 9: Uncle is the owner of this house

Seeing her envious look, Ouyang softened his heart and said, "Come, I'll help you, hurry up." Ouyang also remembered that today was indeed his birthday. Every year, his family arranged a party for him, but he refused. But Uncle Meng gave him a small celebration every year without inviting anyone. He felt that it was nothing special just having a meal.
