Sheng Xiao Han Yu

Chapter 113 Hua Sheng's Choice

Mrs. Wu went to cook dinner as soon as she got home, although she was a bit pressed for time. However, she still cooked different dishes for Hua Sheng.

For dinner, I made the now popular mao cai (stir-fried tripe dish) with rice and a seafood soup. After serving the food, I saw that Hua Sheng hadn't come downstairs yet, so I got worried and went upstairs to check.

"Young Miss, may I come in?" Mrs. Wu knocked on the door. Thinking of the marks on Hua Sheng's neck, she must have been exhausted last night. The little girl was still young, and the young master didn't know how to restrain himself.

After waiting for a long time without hearing any movement, Mrs. Wu turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. She saw Hua Sheng sleeping soundly, one foot on the quilt, and red marks all over his legs, even on his feet. Seeing this, Mrs. Wu blushed. The young master, who was always calm and composed, could also be so crazy.

Mrs. Wu walked over and took Hua Sheng's legs down, then pulled the quilt over her body, hoping to let her sleep a little longer, but Hua Sheng woke up.

"Mrs. Wu, you're back. How could I have fallen asleep so suddenly? What time is it now?" Hua Sheng was still a little confused and not fully awake.

"Miss, you're awake. It's already half past five. The meal is ready. Go downstairs and eat! Then go back to sleep." Mrs. Wu said gently.

"Mrs. Wu, I don't want to eat dinner. Why don't you go and eat it?" Hua Sheng slowly came to his senses and wanted to cry when he remembered what happened on the Internet.

"Young Miss, what's wrong with you?" Mrs. Wu had just heard the little girl's voice hoarse, and she thought it was because she had just woken up. Now that she was crying, Mrs. Wu realized that the girl had been crying.

"No, nothing. I'm just not hungry and want to sleep." Hua Sheng held back her tears and didn't let Mrs. Wu know why she was crying.

"Do you miss the young master? If so, call him and talk to him. You will be back in a few days, and you won't be able to see Mrs. Wu when you go back. Don't you want to stay with Mrs. Wu for a few more days?" Mrs. Wu asked Hua Sheng pretending to be sad. She thought Hua Sheng was crying because she missed Ouyang Hanyu.

"What are you talking about, Sister Wu? I want to stay with Sister Wu the most. I want to stay here with Sister Wu all the time, will you want me?" Hua Sheng thought it would be good to stay here, as he had nowhere to go for the time being.

"Okay, of course Mrs. Wu will want you! Everything here belongs to the young master, and what belongs to the young master is yours. You can stay here as long as you want." What Mrs. Wu didn't say was that you might still be the hostess here in the future.

"I just want to stick with Sister Wu and have a good life by following her." Hua Sheng did not respond to Sister Wu's next words. She might have to plan to leave. Staying here is not a long-term solution.

"Okay, if you want to follow me, let's go eat first!" Mrs. Wu said as she pulled Hua Sheng up and let her put on her shoes by herself.

When Hua Sheng put on his shoes and raised his head, Mrs. Wu saw that his eyes were badly swollen.

"Miss, you got yourself like this today? The young master would be so sad if he knew about this!" Mrs. Wu sighed. The little girl was still too young. She became like this after being away for such a short while.

"Mrs. Wu, don't tell him. I had a nightmare this afternoon, and that's why I'm like this. I won't do it again." Hua Sheng lied hastily, afraid that Mrs. Wu would tell Ouyang Hanyu. She didn't want to be laughed at again; she was already in a bad enough state.

"If you miss the young master, just tell him. There's nothing to be shy about. People in love are like this. They miss each other after not seeing each other for a while." Mrs. Wu thought Hua Sheng was shy and said this, so she spoke from her experience.

"Okay, I got it. I'll call him after dinner. I'm a little hungry and I'm going to eat now." Hua Sheng didn't want Mrs. Wu to tell Ouyang Hanyu, so he perfunctorily told Mrs. Wu that he would call.

"That's right, let's go eat." Mrs. Wu walked behind and said with a smile.

"Mrs. Wu, what did you cook? It smells so good!" Hua Sheng smelled the fragrance as soon as he reached the stairs and ran straight to the dining table.

"I came back a little late after finishing my work tonight, so I made some maocai. I wonder if you like it?" Mrs. Wu also walked to the dining table and got a bowl of soup for Hua Sheng.

"It smells delicious. Mrs. Wu, please sit down. I can't help it anymore. Come on and eat." Hua Sheng sat down, picked up the chopsticks and started to pick up the dishes.

"Miss, drink a bowl of soup to warm your stomach first. The maocai is a bit spicy and it will make your stomach uncomfortable if you eat it directly." Mrs. Wu handed the soup bowl to Hua Sheng, and she also filled her own bowl with soup and sat down to drink it.

"Is this seafood soup? It's so delicious." Hua Sheng took it and drank it, praising Mrs. Wu's cooking skills.

"Well, if you want to drink it, I'll make it for you. That bowl contains sesame paste for you to dip in the beef rolls and tripe in the maocai." Mrs. Wu pointed to the dipping sauce next to her and said that it was the perfect match for tripe and meat rolls.

The maocai was delicious, spicy and satisfying. Hua Sheng and Mrs. Wu ate their fill, finishing the entire bowl. After dinner, Hua Sheng helped Mrs. Wu wash the dishes while they chatted.

"Miss, are you going camping tonight? I'll go set up the tent later." Mrs. Wu asked Hua Sheng. The little girl liked to sleep in that small tent.

"No, Mrs. Wu, I'm going to my room to sleep. You're tired, so go to bed early." Hua Sheng didn't want to trouble Mrs. Wu. She wanted to return to reality and couldn't dream anymore.

"Okay! There are a lot of bugs outside, it would be bad if they bite you accidentally." Mrs. Wu also knew that although Hua Sheng was chatting with her, she was in a bad mood. She let her do whatever made her feel comfortable.

"Well, Mrs. Wu, I'm going to bed. You should get some rest early too." Hua Sheng said and was about to go upstairs.

"Miss, here's the money for you. Take it. I was going to transfer it to you via WeChat, but I don't have your WeChat account, so I'll give it to you in cash." Mrs. Wu handed a paper bag to Hua Sheng.

"Thank you, Mrs. Wu!" Hua Sheng went upstairs with the bag without any hesitation.

Hua Sheng kept herself busy every day so she wouldn't have to dwell on the things that saddened her. She had to go on with her life, and she had no one to confide in. She thought it would be better to have her parents around, but she had forgotten what it felt like to have them around to care for her.
